How do you set up your device?
Your device uses a nano-SIM card. A SIM card may be preinstalled, or you may be able to use your previous SIM card. Network indicators for 5G service are based on your carrier’s specifications and network availability. Contact your carrier for more details.
How do you charge your device?
Before turning on your device, charge it fully. Place the SIM card into the tray with the gold contacts facing up. A 25W charger is recommended. A 45W charger can be used for Super Fast Charging (Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra only). Use only Samsung-approved chargers and cables.
How do you maintain water and dust resistance?
Make sure that the SIM card tray openings are maintained free of dust and water, and the tray is securely inserted prior to any exposure to liquids. It is important that all compartments are closed tightly. If the device has been immersed in water or the microphone or speaker is wet, sound may not be heard clearly during a call. After wiping the device with a dry cloth, dry it thoroughly before using it. Do not expose the device to water at high pressure. If the device is dropped or receives an impact, the water and dust resistant features of the device may be damaged. If exposed to liquid other than freshwater, rinse with freshwater and dry as directed.
What should you do if your device gets wet?
If the device is exposed to freshwater, dry it thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth; if exposed to liquid other than freshwater, rinse with freshwater and dry as directed.
What should you do if your device gets too hot while charging?
Disconnect the charger from the device and wait for the device to cool down.
How do you use wireless power sharing?
- From Settings, tap Battery and device care > Battery >Wireless power sharing.
- Tap Battery limit and choose a percentage. Once the device you are charging has reached this level of charge, wireless power sharing automatically turns off.
- Tap to turn on the charging feature.
- With the phone face down, place the compatible device on the back of the phone to charge. A notification sound or vibration occurs when charging begins.
What should you consider when using wireless power sharing?
- Remove any accessories or cover before using the feature.
- The location of the wireless charging coil may vary by device, so you may need to adjust the placement to make a connection.
- Call reception or data services may be affected, depending on your network environment.
- Charging speed or efficiency can vary depending on device condition or surrounding environment.
- Do not use headphones while charging with Wireless power sharing. Wireless power sharing works with most Qi-Certified devices. Requires minimum 30% battery to share.

How do you transfer data from an old device?
Download Smart Switch™ to transfer contacts, photos, music, videos, messages, notes, calendars, and more from your old device. Smart Switch can transfer your data via USB cable, Wi-Fi, or computer. From Settings, tap Accounts and backup > Bring data from old device. Follow the prompts and select the content to transfer.
How do you lock or unlock your device?
Use your device’s screen lock features to secure your device. By default, the device locks automatically when the screen times out. Press the Side key to lock. Press to turn on the screen, and then swipe the screen to unlock it.

- Swipe down for notification panel: Enable this feature to open the Notification panel by swiping down anywhere on the Home screen.
- Rotate to landscape mode: Rotate the Home screen automatically when your device’s orientation is changed from portrait to landscape.

How do you enable Easy mode?
The Easy mode layout has larger text and icons, making for a more straightforward visual experience. Switch between the default screen layout and a simpler layout.

- Touch and hold delay: Set how long it takes for a continuous touch to be recognized as a touch and hold.

- Device control: Control other devices when supported apps like SmartThings or Google Home are installed.
- Media output: Access the Media panel and control playback of connected audio and video devices.
- Brightness slider: Drag to adjust the screen brightness.
How do you remove the S Pen?
Push the S Pen inward to release it, and then slide it out. To maintain the water-resistant and dust-resistant features of your device, make sure the S Pen slot and opening are both kept free of dust and water, and the pen is securely inserted prior to any exposure to liquids.
How does Air view work?
Hover the S Pen over the screen to preview content or view information about an item on the screen.
- Preview an email message before opening it.
- Preview the contents of a photo album or enlarge a picture.
- Preview a video and navigate to a specific scene by hovering over the timeline.
- View the name or description of an icon or a button. The preview function is only available when the S Pen’s on-screen pointer is a solid color.
How do you use Air actions?
The S Pen can be used to perform remote functions using the button and movements or gestures. You can set up shortcuts to your favorite apps, navigate screens on your devices, complete actions, and more.
- The S Pen remote feature is only supported by Samsung-approved S Pens with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). If the S Pen is too far from the device, or if there is interference, the S Pen disconnects from the device. The S Pen must be connected for Air actions to work.
How do you set a shortcut for holding the S Pen button?
By default, this option is set to launch the Camera app.
- From Settings, tap Advanced features > S Pen > Air actions.

- The current screen is captured, and a pen tool appears. The following editing tools are provided:
- Crop: Drag the edges of the screen to crop the captured content.
- Pen type: Draw on the screenshot. Tap the Pen icon a second time to change the pen tip, size, and color.
- Eraser: Erase the writing or drawings on the screenshot.
- Undo: Reverse the last action.
- Redo: Repeat the last action that was undone.
- Share: Choose a sharing method to share your content.
- Scroll capture: Capture any scrollable areas of the screen that may be hidden.
- Tap Save. The content is saved to the Gallery app. Hold the S Pen button to erase your drawings on the screen memo.
How do you record an animated drawing or written message?

- Collection: See all live messages you have created.

Draw interactive doodles on faces or other objects seen through the camera using augmented reality.

- Use the S Pen to draw a doodle. The doodle follows the movements of the face in real-time.
- Tap Record to save a video of your AR Doodle.

Hover over words with the S Pen to translate them and listen to their pronunciation.

- Phrases: Translate an entire phrase.

- Allow multiple S Pens: Let other S Pens write on the screen.
- Keep S Pen connected: Keep your S Pen connected so it’s ready for Air actions as soon as you remove it from your phone.
- Menu style: Configure the appearance of the Air command menu.
- Shortcuts: Configure the Air command menu with S Pen features, apps, and functions.
