To install the paper roll in your RONGTA RP311, please follow these steps:

1. Press the top cover open button on both sides with both hands to open the top cover.

2. Load the paper roll into the paper roll holders. The printing side of the paper should face up.

3. Pull the front end of the paper roll out and through the paper guides, and pull it past the platen roller.

4. Adjust the paper guides to fit the width of the paper.

5. Close the top cover. The paper roll installation is complete.

To install the ribbon in your RONGTA RP311, please follow these steps:

1. Press the top cover open button on both sides to open the top cover.

2. Insert the ribbon into the ribbon supply holder.

3. Insert the empty ribbon roll into the ribbon take-up holder.

4. Pull the ribbon out and stick it to the empty ribbon roll.

5. Wind the ribbon roll a few turns until the transparent leader part is completely wound and the black film covers the print head.

6. Close the top cover. The ribbon installation is complete.

The FEED button on the RONGTA RP311 has several functions depending on the situation:

• **Feed paper:** When the printer is in ready state, press the FEED button once to feed one blank label.

• **Pause/Resume printing:** When the printer is printing, press the FEED button once to pause. When paused, press the FEED button again to resume printing.

• **Printer self-test:** When the printer is off, press and hold the FEED button, then turn on the power switch. After the indicator light flashes red twice, release the FEED button. The printer will print a self-test page.

• **Initialize the printer:** When the printer is off, press and hold the FEED button, then turn on the power switch. After the indicator light flashes red twice and then flashes blue twice, release the FEED button. The printer will be initialized, and the parameters will be restored to the factory default settings.

If the indicator light is off, please check if the power cord of the RONGTA RP311 is correctly connected to the printer and the power outlet.

If the indicator light is on but the RONGTA RP311 doesn’t work, print a self-test page to check if the printer is functioning correctly. If it can print a self-test page, please check the following:

1. Check the connection of the data cable between the printer and the computer. Ensure it is securely connected.

2. Check if the printer driver is installed and set correctly.

A flashing red light on your RONGTA RP311 usually indicates a paper issue. The printer is likely out of paper. Please load a new paper roll. If there is still paper, check if the paper is jammed or if the paper sensor needs cleaning.

Poor print quality on the RONGTA RP311 can be caused by several factors. You can try the following solutions:

1. Print a self-test page to check the print quality. If the self-test page also has poor quality, there might be an issue with the printer hardware.

2. Clean the print head. A dirty print head can cause streaks or missing lines.

3. Check the quality of the paper roll and ribbon. Poor quality consumables can affect the printout.

4. If the print quality is poor after changing to a new paper roll, it might be a bad batch. Try using another new roll.

5. Adjust the print density. If the density is too low, the print will be faint. If it’s too high, it might be blurry or smudged.

If your RONGTA RP311 is printing incomplete content or in the wrong format, please check the following:

• Check the paper size settings in your application software and driver settings. Ensure they match the actual size of the paper being used.

If the RONGTA RP311 is printing blank pages, please check the following:

• Ensure you are using thermal paper and that it is loaded correctly with the print side facing up. If using non-thermal paper, a ribbon is required.

• If using a ribbon, check if it is installed correctly and if it is the correct type (coated side facing the paper).

If your RONGTA RP311 is printing intermittently, please try the following:

• Turn off the printer and the computer. Disconnect the data cable and reconnect it.

• Try using a different data cable.

• Check if the printer driver is installed correctly. If necessary, uninstall and reinstall the driver.

To ensure print quality and prolong the life of your RONGTA RP311, clean the print head regularly. Follow these steps:

1. Turn off the printer power.

2. Open the top cover.

3. If you have just finished printing, wait for the print head to cool down completely.

4. Use a cotton swab dipped in anhydrous alcohol to wipe the dust and stains from the surface of the print head.

5. Wait for the alcohol to evaporate completely, then close the top cover.

Note: The print head should be cleaned every week or when printing is unclear. Ensure the power is off during cleaning and avoid touching the print head surface with your hands or metal objects.

To maintain the performance of your RONGTA RP311, you should clean the sensor, platen, and paper path when you clean the print head. Follow these steps:

1. Turn off the printer power and open the top cover.

2. Use a dry, soft cloth or cotton swab to wipe away dust and foreign matter.

3. For adhesive or other pollutants, use a cotton swab dipped in anhydrous alcohol to wipe them away.

4. Wait for the alcohol to completely evaporate, then close the top cover.

Note: Regular cleaning is recommended, especially after using self-adhesive label paper, to ensure the sensor’s sensitivity.

Please follow these safety precautions when using the RONGTA RP311:

• The power outlet for the printer should be on the same circuit as other large motors or equipment that may cause voltage fluctuations.

• Use the power adapter supplied with the printer. Using an unapproved adapter may damage the product.

• Do not touch the print head directly after printing, as it can be very hot.

• Do not touch the paper-cutting knife.

• Only professionals should perform maintenance or modifications. Disassembling the printer by yourself may void the warranty.

• Keep the printer away from water and avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity.
