The demo starts automatically if you do not operate the unit within about 30 seconds since it was last operated or if the ignition switch is set to ACC or ON while it is turned off. To cancel the demo mode, press and hold the back/DISP button. Press and hold back/DISP again to start.

You can also deactivate demo mode in the initial settings:

1. Press and hold SRC/OFF until the unit turns off.

2. Press M.C. (Multi-Control) and hold until the initial setting menu appears in the display.

3. Turn M.C. to select Demonstration (demo display setting) and turn off the demo display.

Removing the front panel:

1. Press the detach button to release the front panel.

2. Push the front panel upward and then pull it toward you.

Re-attaching the front panel:

1. Slide the front panel to the left. Make sure to insert the tabs on the left side of the head unit into the slots on the front panel.

2. Press the right side of the front panel until it is firmly seated.

1. After installation, turn the ignition switch to ON. If the set up menu appears, select YES.

2. If setting via the menu: Press M.C. to display the main menu. Select “System” (or perform the initial setup sequence if freshly installed).

3. Turn M.C. to select the Clock option.

4. Turn M.C. to adjust the hour.

5. Press M.C. to select the minute.

6. Turn M.C. to adjust the minute.

7. Press M.C. to confirm the selection.

1. Press the magnifying glass (list) button. The preset screen is displayed.

2. To store: Use M.C. to select the frequency in the memory. Turn to change the preset number. Press and hold M.C. to store.

3. To recall: Use M.C. to select the desired station. Turn to change the station. Press to select.

Alternatively, you can use BSM (Best Stations Memory) to automatically store the six strongest stations: Select FUNCTION in the menu, turn M.C. to select BSM, and press M.C. to turn it on.

Be sure to park your vehicle in a safe place and apply the parking brake before performing this operation.

1. Press and hold the PHONE button to display the connection menu.

2. Turn M.C. to select “Add device”.

3. Press M.C. to start searching.

4. Turn M.C. to select a device from the device list. (Press and hold M.C. to switch between Bluetooth device address and device name).

5. Press M.C. to connect the selected device.

6. To complete the connection, check the device name (Pioneer BT Unit) and enter the PIN code on your device if necessary (Default is 0000).

Answering an incoming call: When a call is received, press M.C.

Ending a call: Press PHONE.

Rejecting an incoming call: When a call is received, press PHONE.

Making a call from the Phone Book:

1. Press PHONE to display the phone menu.

2. Turn M.C. to select PhoneBook (or Missed calls/Dialed calls/Received calls).

3. Turn M.C. to select the name or number you want to call.

4. Press M.C. to make the call.

1. Ensure “BT AUDIO” is activated in the system settings (Press M.C. -> System -> BT Audio -> ON).

2. Press SRC/OFF to select BT Audio as the source.

3. Use the following controls:

– Press M.C. to start playback or stop playback (depending on the menu selection).

– Press M.C. to pause or resume.

– Turn and hold LEVER left or right to fast forward or reverse.

– Turn LEVER to select a track.

– Press BAND to start playback.

1. Press M.C. to display the main menu.

2. Turn M.C. to select AUDIO and press to enter.

3. Turn M.C. to select the desired function:

Fader/Balance: Press M.C. to switch between fader (front/rear) and balance (left/right), then turn M.C. to adjust.

Preset EQ: Turn M.C. to select an equalizer curve (Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Custom1, Custom2, Flat, Super bass).

G.EQ (Graphic Equalizer): Allows manual adjustment of frequency bands. Select band (100Hz to 8kHz) and adjust level (+6 to -6).

Loudness: Compensation for low volume. Select Low, Mid, or High.

Subwoofer1: Turn subwoofer output on or off and select phase (Normal/Reverse).

Subwoofer2: Adjust cut-off frequency and output level.

Bass Booster: Adjust bass boost level (0 to +6).

HPF (High Pass Filter): Turn on to block low frequencies from front/rear speakers.

SLA (Source Level Adjustment): Adjust volume level of each source to prevent radical volume changes when switching.

1. Press M.C. to display the main menu.

2. Turn M.C. to select ILLUMI and press to enter.

3. Turn M.C. to display “Key & Display” and press to select.

4. Turn M.C. to select the illumination color. Options include:

– 27 preset colors (WHITE to ROSE)

– SCAN (cycles through all colors)

– 3 sets of colors (WARM, AMBIENT, CALM)

– CUSTOM (customized illumination color)

MIXTRAX technology adds sound effects between songs for nonstop music. Note that this function is only available when a file on an external storage device (USB, SD) or a song on an iPod is being played.

To turn MIXTRAX on or off, press the MIX button. When MIXTRAX is on, the Sound Retriever setting is automatically turned off.

You can also customize the MIXTRAX display effects in the ENTERTAINMENT menu.

Cause: The power failed for the Bluetooth module of this unit.

Action: Turn the ignition switch OFF and then to ACC or ON. If the error message is still displayed after performing the above action, please contact your dealer or an authorized Pioneer Service Station.

This setting is available in the Initial Settings menu (accessed when the unit is off).

1. Press and hold SRC/OFF until the unit turns off.

2. Press M.C. and hold until the initial setting menu appears.

3. Turn M.C. to select “S/W control”.

4. Press M.C. to switch the rear output setting:

– Rear SP :F.Range: Select when no subwoofer is connected to the rear output (full-range speaker).

– Rear SP :S/W: Select when a subwoofer is connected to the rear output.

1. Remove the front panel.

2. Insert an SD memory card into the SD card slot with the contact surface facing down. Press on the card until it clicks and completely locks into place.

3. Re-attach the front panel.

4. Press SRC/OFF to select SD as the source. Playback will start.
