Charging the Headphones:

Before first use, place the headphones in the charging box and charge the battery for 2 hours for optimum battery capacity and lifetime. Take out the insulating films from under the earpieces, place them back in the case, and close the lid. The LED indicator on the case will blink white, and the charging case will begin charging the earpieces.

Charging the Box:

Plug one end of the USB-C cable into the charging box and the other end into a power source. A full charge for the headphones or charging box takes about 2 hours. When the charging box is fully charged, the LED screen will display “FU”. The fully charged box can recharge the headphones 2.5 times.

To ensure an optimal fit and sound quality with your PHILIPS TAT2520, follow these steps:

1. Select the most suitable eartips. Three sizes are provided: large, medium, and small. Test which eartips provide you with the best sound and wearing comfort.

2. Check the left or right orientation of the headphones.

3. Insert the headphones into your ears and twist them slightly until a secure fit is achieved.

1. Make sure that the headphones are fully charged and powered off.

2. Open the charging box. The headphones will automatically enter pairing mode and be ready to connect.

3. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device.

4. Select “Philips TAT2520” from the list of available devices to pair. If prompted for a password, enter “0000” (4 zeros). For devices with Bluetooth 3.0 or higher, no password is needed.

To pair your PHILIPS TAT2520 with another device, you need to manually put them into pairing mode. With both headphones outside the charging case, press and hold the multi-function touch (MFT) on both the right and left headphones for 5 seconds. Then, discover and connect to the headphones on your second device as you did with the first.

The PHILIPS TAT2520 can be paired with two devices simultaneously (e.g., a mobile phone and a notebook).

Switching Between Devices:

You can only listen to music from one device at a time. To switch, pause the audio from the first device and then start playing audio from the second device.

If you are streaming audio from Device 1 and receive a call on Device 2, the playback on Device 1 will automatically pause, and the call will be routed to your headphones. After you end the call, playback from Device 1 will automatically resume.

You can cycle through different ANC modes by double-tapping the left earpiece.

The default setting is ANC On. Double-tapping will turn ANC off. Double-tapping again will switch to Awareness mode.

You will hear a tone that indicates when the volume has reached the maximum level.

If you encounter any pairing or connection issues, you can reset your headphones to factory default settings by following these steps:

1. On your Bluetooth device, go to the Bluetooth menu and remove “Philips TAT2520” from the device list.

2. Turn off the Bluetooth function of your Bluetooth device.

3. Take the earpieces out of the charging box. Tap the left or right earpiece once, then long touch for 5 seconds to reset the earpieces.

4. The headphones will now be ready to connect. Follow the steps for connecting to your Bluetooth device for the first time.

5. Pair the headphones with your Bluetooth device, selecting “Philips TAT2520”.

If there is no response from the headphones, you can perform a hardware reset:

– Return the headphones to the charging box and close the lid.

– Re-open the lid and take the headphones out from the box.

The battery level is likely low. Charge the headphones.

Check if the Bluetooth feature on your device is disabled. Enable the Bluetooth feature on your Bluetooth device and turn it on before you turn on the headphones.

Follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. Put both headphones into the charging box.

2. Make sure you have disabled the Bluetooth function of any previously connected Bluetooth devices.

3. On your Bluetooth device, delete “Philips TAT2520” from the Bluetooth list.

4. Pair your headphones again by following the instructions for pairing for the first time.

– The headphones may be connected to a previously paired device. Turn off the connected device or move it out of range.

– Pairing may have been reset, or the headphones have been previously paired with another device. Pair the headphones with the Bluetooth device again as described in the user manual.

Refer to the user manual of your mobile phone. You will need to select the option to listen to music through the headphones in your phone’s settings.

– The Bluetooth device may be out of range. Reduce the distance between your headphones and the Bluetooth device, or remove any obstacles between them.

– The battery may be low. Charge your headphones.

Ensure your mobile phone not only supports (mono) HFP but also supports A2DP and is BT4.0x (or higher) compatible.

– Use a clean, damp cloth to clean your headphones regularly, especially the sound conduits and the microphone holes, to avoid the buildup of substances like sweat or earwax.

– If any sweat or water droplets are left in the sound conduits, air holes, or microphone holes, the sound level will temporarily drop or cut out. This is not a malfunction. Use a soft, damp cloth to dry the headphones thoroughly. Alternatively, remove the earbud tips, turn the sound conduits downward, and gently tap the headphones about 5 times on a dry cloth to remove any collected water.

– Be sure the headphones are completely dry before charging and using. Avoid using disposable alcohol pads or other cleaning substances.

If the headphones are not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery will begin to lose its charge. To avoid this loss, please fully charge the battery at least once every three months.
