The Dashboard is a side panel in Google TV that provides access to Settings, device controls, notifications and more. It can be accessed in three ways:

1. Navigating to the profile icon in the upper right of the home screen.

2. Press the DASHBOARD key (icon resembling a gear or settings slider) on the remote control.

3. Long press the HOME key on the remote control.

You can set your TV to Google TV mode or Basic Mode. Basic Mode contains only Live TV and External devices (e.g. HDMI) features. Google TV requires you to login with your Google account and Internet connection. With Google TV, you can have all Basic Mode features and more Google’s personalised services.

The Home screen of Basic Mode has only two rows and without tabs. The first Home row contains Watch TV, TV Guide, Sources and Dashboard icons. The second App row contains all pre-installed Apps.

The Home screen of Google TV has multiple tabs like Home, Apps, Library and Search, containing rows of apps, movies and shows from your services and popular apps.

Use the following wall mount dimensions when purchasing a wall mount bracket (sold separately):

This remote control uses both Bluetooth and IR (infrared) to send its commands to the TV. To use advanced operations like voice search, you need to pair (link) the TV with the remote control.

When you start the initial TV installation, the TV invites you to press the Home + Back key to pair the remote control. If the pairing was lost, you can pair it again:

1. Press Home + Back key or long press the PAIR (SOURCES) key (approximate for 3 seconds).

2. Alternatively, go to Settings > Remote & accessories > Remote control settings > Pair remote control, then follow the on-screen instructions.

When pairing is successful, a message appears, and the blue LED indicator ring around the microphone on the front side of the remote control starts blinking.

You can search for videos, music, or anything else on the Internet by simply using your voice. You need to pair the remote control to the TV before use.

1. Press and hold the Voice key on the remote control. The blue light on the remote control lights up and the search field opens; the microphone is active.

2. Speak out what you are looking for with clear pronunciation.

3. Once the voice input is done, release the Voice key to start the search.

4. In the list of search results, you can select the item you want.

Switch on: Press the Power button on the remote control or the small joystick key on the bottom of the TV.

Switch to standby: Press the Power button on the remote control. You can also press the small joystick key on the bottom of the TV, select the Power icon, and press the joystick key.

Reboot: Long press the Power button on the remote control for three seconds.

Switch off: To switch off the TV completely, disconnect the power plug. When disconnecting the power plug, always pull the plug, never the cord.

Make sure your satellite dish is connected correctly and is perfectly aligned before you start the installation.

1. Select Settings > Channels & Inputs > Channels > Satellite Installation and press OK. Enter your PIN code if necessary.

2. Select Search for Satellite and press OK.

3. Select Search and press OK. The TV will search for satellites.

4. Select Install and press OK. The TV shows the current satellite installation setup.

5. If you want to change the setup (e.g., number of satellites or Unicable), select Settings. Otherwise, select Search.

6. The TV will search for satellites. If found, select Install.

7. If a satellite offers Channel Packages, select the package you need.

8. Select Finish to store the satellite setup and installed channels.

If you receive digital channels, you can set the TV to automatically update these channels. Once a day, at 7 AM, the TV updates the channels and stores new channels.

To switch off the automatic update:

1. Select Settings > Channels & Inputs > Channels > Antenna/Cable Installation or Antenna Installation and press OK.

2. Enter your PIN code if necessary.

3. Select Automatic Channel Update and press OK.

4. Select Off and press OK.

You can reinstall all channels and leave all other TV settings untouched.

1. Select Settings > Channels & Inputs > Channels > Antenna/Cable Installation or Antenna Installation and press OK.

2. Enter your PIN code if necessary.

3. Select Search for Channels and press OK.

4. Select Start and press OK.

5. Select Reinstall Channels, select Next and press OK.

6. Select the country where you are now and press OK.

7. Select Next and press OK.

8. Select the type of installation (Antenna or Cable) and press OK.

9. Select Next and press OK.

10. Select the type of channels you want (Digital and Analogue or Only Digital) and press OK.

11. Select Next and press OK.

12. Select Start and press OK to update the digital channels.

Channel List Copy is intended for dealers and expert users. You can copy the channels installed on one TV onto another Philips TV of the same range.

1. Switch on the TV. This TV should have channels installed.

2. Plug in a USB flash drive.

3. Select Settings > Channels & Inputs > Channels > Channel List Copy and press OK.

4. Select Copy to USB and press OK. You might be asked to enter the Child Lock PIN code.

5. When copying is done, unplug the USB flash drive.

1. Press the TV key to switch to TV.

2. Press OK to open the current channel list.

3. Press OPTIONS.

4. Select Create Favourites List and press OK.

5. In the list at the left, select a channel you want as a favourite and press OK. Channels come in the list at the right in the order you add them.

6. To finish adding channels, press Back.

7. The TV will ask to rename the Favourites List. Use the on-screen keyboard to delete the current name and enter a new name.

8. When done, select Close and press OK.

If your remote control has a TEXT key, press TEXT to open Text/Teletext while watching TV channels. To close Text, press TEXT again.

If your remote control does not have a TEXT key, press OPTIONS while watching TV channels, and select Teletext to open Text/Teletext.

To select a page, enter the page number with the number keys or use the arrow keys to navigate.

Only HDMI 2 on the TV supports HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) and HDMI eARC.

If the device, typically a Home Theatre System (HTS), soundbar, or AV receiver, also has the HDMI ARC connection, connect it to HDMI 2 on this TV. With the HDMI ARC connection, you do not need to connect the extra audio cable that sends the sound of the TV picture to the HTS.

Note: HDMI eARC is only available on HDMI 2. Use an Ultra High-speed HDMI cable for eARC.

Connect HDMI CEC-compatible devices to your TV to operate them with the TV remote control. EasyLink HDMI CEC must be switched on on the TV and the connected device.

To switch on EasyLink:

1. Select Settings > Channels & Inputs > Inputs > EasyLink > EasyLink > On.

To operate HDMI CEC-compatible devices with TV remote control:

1. Select Settings > Channels & Inputs > Inputs > EasyLink > EasyLink remote control > On.

1. Look on the CAM for the correct method of insertion.

2. While looking at the back of the TV, with the front of the CAM facing towards you, gently insert the CAM into the slot COMMON INTERFACE.

3. Push the CAM in as far as it will go. Leave it in the slot permanently.

When you switch on the TV, it may take a few minutes before the CAM is activated.

Connect the USB keyboard to one of the USB connections on the TV. When the TV detects the keyboard for the first time, you can select your keyboard lay-out and test your selection.

To change the keyboard layout setting later:

1. Select Settings > System > Keyboard.

2. Select USB Keyboard Settings, and press OK to start the keyboard setup.

1. Select Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > On/Off.

2. In the list of found networks, select on your wireless network. If your network is hidden, select Add New Network to enter the network name yourself.

3. Depending on the type of router, enter your encryption key – WPA2 or WPA3.

4. A message will be shown when the connection is successful.

1. Select Settings > Display & Sound > Picture > Picture style.

2. Alternately, select from Dashboard > Picture > Picture style.

3. Select a style such as Personal, Crystal Clear, Home Cinema, ECO, Movie, or Game.

The lounge light mode allows you to switch on the Ambilight when the TV is in standby.

To enable lounge light mode:

1. Select Settings > Display & Sound > Ambilight > Lounge light > Enable on standby.

To use it:

1. Press the AMBILIGHT key on the remote control while the TV is in standby.

2. Press navigation keys left or right to change light effects.

3. Press navigation keys up or down to adjust brightness.

4. To switch off, press the AMBILIGHT key again.

You can redo a full TV installation. The TV is completely reinstalled.

1. Select Settings > System > About > Reset > Factory reset and press OK.

2. Enter your PIN code if necessary.

3. The TV will reinstall completely. All settings will be reset and installed channels will be replaced.

1. Select Settings > System > About > System update > Internet (recommended) and press OK.

2. The TV will look for an update on the Internet.

3. If an update is available, you can update the software right away.

4. A software update can take several minutes. Do not press the Power key on the TV or remote control.

5. When the update is done, the TV will return to the channel you were watching.

You can check if the remote control is working by using a mobile phone camera.

1. Put the phone in camera mode and point the remote control to the camera lens.

2. Press any key on the remote control.

3. If you notice the infra-red LED flicker through the camera, the remote control is working.

Note: This method is not possible with remote controls which are wirelessly paired with the TV.

1. Disconnect the power cable from the power outlet. Wait for one minute then reconnect it.

2. Make sure that the power cable is securely connected.

3. If the standby light keeps blinking, disconnect the power cable, wait 5 minutes, and reconnect. If it reoccurs, contact Philips TV Consumer Care.

1. Make sure that the antenna is properly connected to the TV.

2. Make sure that the correct device is selected as the display source.

3. Make sure that the external device or source is properly connected.

4. Change to other video sources and then change back to current source.

5. Perform a picture style restore in Picture settings or do a Factory reset in General settings.

1. Make sure that the sound settings are correctly set.

2. Make sure that all cables are properly connected.

3. Make sure that the volume is not muted or set to zero.

4. Make sure that the TV audio output is connected to the audio input on the Home Theatre System.

5. If using HDMI audio, try changing the digital audio format of the device to PCM (Pulse Code Modulation).

Make sure that your HDMI devices are HDMI-CEC compatible. EasyLink features only work with devices that are HDMI-CEC compatible.

1. Microwave ovens, DECT phones or other Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ac devices in your proximity might disturb the wireless network.

2. Make sure that the firewalls in your network allow access to the TV’s wireless connection.

3. If the wireless network does not work properly in your home, try the wired network installation.
