To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely attached to the wall/ceiling in accordance with the installation instructions.

The installation must be carried out in accordance with all applicable installation rules.

This product does not have a power switch. Unplug the LAN cable to turn off the product.

Operating near 1.9 GHz electrical appliances may cause interference. Move away from these appliances.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s licence-exempt RSS(s). Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

This transmitter must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

Consult the manufacturer of any personal medical devices, such as pacemakers, to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF (radio frequency) energy. The PANASONIC WX-SA250P operates in the frequency range of 1.92 GHz to 1.93 GHz, and the power output level is 115mW (max.).

The PANASONIC WX-SA250P is a wireless antenna designed to be used with a wireless microphone (WX-ST200P or WX-ST400P) and a wireless receiver (WX-SR202P or WX-SR204P). Its key features include:

It uses a system based on the 1.9 GHz DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) standard for a stable connection over a wide area, providing clear audio with minimal interference.

Installation is easy and can be performed on a ceiling, a wall, or a microphone stand.

The product can be installed outdoors due to its IPx4 splash resistance. It can be placed in locations where it will not be directly subjected to rain (e.g., under an eave).

Tighten screws and bolts with the specified tools: Failing to do so may cause parts to fall, leading to accidents and injuries.

Install the product so that its weight is properly supported: Ensure your chosen installation method offers enough support to prevent the antenna from falling.

Properly install the antenna: Install on a ceiling, wall, or microphone stand according to the installation directions to avoid accidents.

If the product shows any abnormality, immediately stop using it: If you notice smoke, an unusual smell, or damage, turn the product OFF and contact the retailer to prevent fire or injury.

If the outer shell shows cracks or damage, suspend use and take it down: To prevent the product from falling, always ask a retailer to perform this task.

When the product is no longer needed, take it down: Do not leave it unattended, as corrosion could cause it to fall. Always ask a retailer for assistance.

Always inspect the product after an earthquake: The mounting unit could be damaged. Ask a retailer to inspect it.

Do not bring the product near medical equipment: Keep it away from operation rooms, ICUs, CCUs, etc., as radio waves may interfere with medical equipment.

Do not use near automatic doors, fire alarms, and other automatic controllers: Radio waves may cause malfunctions.

Do not use near flammable gases: Doing so may lead to explosions and injuries.

Do not install where there is a risk of damage from seawater or corrosive gases: This can cause the mounting unit to deteriorate.

Do not let foreign substances into the product: Water or metal entering the antenna can lead to fire or electric shocks. Immediately turn the product OFF and contact a retailer.

Do not replace parts while the product is installed: This may cause parts to fall.

Do not install if the fixing bracket is deformed or the outer shell is damaged: This may cause parts to fall.

Do not attempt to disassemble or remodel the product: It may lead to fire or electric shock.

Entrust installation operations to a retailer: Installation requires skill and experience to avoid injury and damage.

Entrust work in high places to a certified professional: This requires skill and experience to avoid injury and damage.

Turn the product OFF before performing maintenance: This can prevent injury.

Do not attempt to repair or wire the product while it is turned ON: It may lead to injury.

Do not pull on cables and other components: It may lead to injury.

Do not damage the cables: Placing heavy objects on cables or squeezing them can cause damage and injury.

Do not install in places exposed to large amounts of humidity and/or dust: It may lead to injury.

Do not perform installation and wiring work during a thunderstorm: It may lead to fire or electric shock.

Use this product with care: The product contains delicate components. Repair or replace any damaged components.

Operating Temperature Range: Use the product between -10 °C (50 °F) and +50 °C (122 °F). Using it outside this range may cause malfunction or damage.

Power: The antenna has no power switch. Unplug the LAN cable to turn it OFF. If the cable is hard to access, turn off the power switch on the connected receiver or unplug its power cable.

Interception: The product uses a digital signal that is difficult to intercept, but since it uses radio waves, willful interception by a third party might be possible.

Maintenance: Turn OFF the power and clean the product with a dry cloth. Do not use volatile chemicals, spray-on solutions, water hoses, or high-pressure cleaning methods. When using chemically treated cloths, read their instructions carefully.

When not using for an extended period: Always ask a retailer to dismount the product.

The POWER indicator on the PANASONIC WX-SA250P shows the antenna’s operation status:

On (green): Powered

Blinking (orange): Pairing

Blinking (red): Connection error with the receiver

On (red): Communication error with the receiver

Off: Not receiving power from the receiver, or antenna was newly connected after powering ON the receiver.

Alternately blinking (orange/green): The support software on the PC connected with the receiver is performing a check.

Alternately blinking (red/green): Occurs when the firmware version of the antenna connected to the WX-SR204P is V1.00. Contact a retailer to upgrade the firmware.

1. Power indicator [POWER]: Shows the operation status of the antenna.

2. Screw cover: Used for ceiling or wall installation. Open to access the screw to fix the antenna to the fixing bracket.

3. Hook grooves: Used to attach the antenna to the hooks on the fixing bracket for ceiling or wall installation.

4. Cable routing groove: Secures the LAN cable in place.

5. Cable tie hook: Used with the included cable tie to secure the cable.

6. Connector cover: Open to connect the cable to the wireless receiver connector, then close the cover.

7. Stand attachment hole cover: Used for installing the antenna on a microphone stand.

8. Wireless receiver connector (inside the port cover): Used to connect the antenna to a receiver via a LAN cable.

Install the unit within a range where it can communicate with the microphone.

Ensure the antenna has a clear line-of-sight to the microphone. Devices like displays or projectors placed between them can cause interference and audio dropouts.

Place the antenna as high as possible. People passing through a low line-of-sight can cause interference.

When installing on a ceiling, choose an unobstructed place away from pillars and beams (at least two or three meters or 6.6 to 9 ft).

Do not install the PANASONIC WX-SA250P antenna in the following locations:

Places subject to vibration or strong shocks.

Places exposed to large amounts of humidity and/or dust.

Places where chemicals are being used, such as pools.

Places with large amounts of steam or grease, such as kitchens.

Near speakers, TVs, magnets, and other strong magnetic sources.

Behind blackboards, whiteboards, displays, projectors, etc. (from the microphone’s perspective).

Near sources of radiation, X-rays, or strong radio waves or magnetism.

Inside metal casings (like metal racks) or rooms with metal ceilings or walls.

Near TVs, radios, computers, and other office automation appliances.

Near CS digital broadcasting receivers (tuners, digital TV sets, etc.).

Inside wagon trolleys surrounded by metal.

Where there is a risk of damage from seawater or corrosive gases.

Under direct sunlight.

Places without roofs, directly exposed to wind and rain.

Power: The antenna has no power switch. Unplug the LAN cable to turn it OFF. Make sure all equipment is powered OFF before installation. After installation, confirm that microphone audio is output from the speaker connected to the receiver.

Static Electricity: Before installation, discharge yourself by touching a grounded metal object to prevent damage from static electricity buildup.

Tightening Screws: Tighten screws straight. Do not use impact or electric screwdrivers, as they can damage the mounting unit.

Avoid Shocks: Protect the antenna from strong hits or shocks.

Adding Antennas: Power OFF the receiver before adding new antennas. A new antenna added to a powered-on receiver will not be powered and will not be usable.

LAN Cable: A LAN cable is not included. Use a Cat 5 (or Cat 5e or Cat 6) straight network LAN cable. The maximum cable length depends on the connection method.

Step 1. Make an aperture on the ceiling panel: Open a circular aperture with a diameter of 65 mm (2-9/16 inches) on the ceiling panel.

Step 2. Install the (included) ceiling mounting plate:

1. Insert the two included screws (M4x35 mm) halfway into the ceiling mounting plate so they protrude from the bracket by 5 mm (3/16 inches) more than the ceiling thickness.

2. Place the ceiling mounting plate (with screws inserted) inside the ceiling aperture.

Step 3. Fix the (included) ceiling fixing bracket:

1. Slide the screws from the mounting unit into the keyhole-shaped holes of the fixing bracket.

2. Fix the bracket, noting the arrow (↑) which indicates the top of the antenna. Tighten the screws after sliding them past the protuberances in the keyholes to prevent the antenna from falling. The screw torque should be 0.39 N·m to 0.59 N·m.

Step 4. Connect the cable to the antenna: Route the LAN cable through the fixing bracket and connect it to the antenna. Use the included cable tie on the cable tie hook to secure the cable.

Step 5. Install the antenna:

1. Attach the antenna to the four hooks on the fixing bracket.

2. Open the screw cover on the side of the antenna and use the included mounting screw (M3x8 mm) to secure the antenna to the bracket. The screw torque should be 0.59 N·m to 0.69 N·m.

3. Close the screw cover.

Step 6. Check the installation: After completion, check that all components are securely fixed and there are no loose parts.

When installing on a wall, place the antenna higher than 1.5 m (59-1/16 inches) from the floor.

Step 1. Screw the fixing bracket to the wall: Fix the bracket to the wall with the four included wood screws (4.1 mm x 25 mm). Pay attention to the arrow (↑) on the bracket, which indicates where the top of the antenna will be. The minimum pullout strength for each screw is 196 N. Do not install on gypsum board or other fragile materials unless the wall is sufficiently reinforced.

Step 2. Connect the cable to the antenna: Connect the LAN cable to the antenna. Secure the cable with the included cable tie to the cable tie hook on the rear of the antenna and route it through the routing groove.

Step 3. Install the antenna:

1. Attach the antenna to the four hooks on the fixing bracket.

2. Open the screw cover on the side of the antenna and use the included mounting screw (M3x8 mm) to secure the antenna to the bracket. The screw torque should be 0.59 N·m to 0.69 N·m.

3. Close the screw cover.

Step 4. Check the installation: After completion, check that all components are securely fixed and there are no loose parts.

When installing on a microphone stand, place the antenna higher than 1 m (39-3/8 inches) from the floor and ensure an unobstructed line-of-sight to the microphone. Route cables carefully to avoid tripping hazards.

Step 1. Install the antenna: Open the cover on the microphone stand installation hole on the antenna. Insert the microphone stand screw into the hole. Use a stand with either a PF1/2 or W3/8 screw. If the screw is W3/8, use the included conversion screw.

Step 2. Connect the cable to the antenna: Connect the LAN cable to the antenna.

To connect the PANASONIC WX-SA250P to a receiver (e.g., WX-SR202P), use a LAN cable to connect the “Wireless receiver connector” on the antenna to one of the “Wireless antenna connectors 1 to 8” on the back of the receiver. The antenna is then powered by the receiver.

Important notes:

The wireless receiver connectors are a proprietary type. Do not connect any PoE devices (hubs or routers with PoE) as this may cause malfunctions.

Use a straight (non-crossover) LAN cable shorter than 200 m (656 ft).

When using multiple receivers, one must be set as the main receiver. The reference antenna (plugged into the [ANTENNA 1] connector on the main receiver) must be powered at all times.
