General Use:

To Avoid Fire, Explosion, or Electric Shock:

• Do not apply excessive pressure or drop objects on the top plate.

• If the top plate is cracked, do not touch it. Turn off the main power switch immediately.

• Danger of fire: Do not store items on the cooking surfaces.

• Do not place combustible materials near the appliance.

• Turn off the appliance using its control after use; do not rely on the pot detector.

Automatic Heating Stop: Heating stops under these conditions:

• No cookware is detected on the cooking zone.

• A small object (like a spoon) is placed on the cooking zone.

• An empty pot is detected on the cooking zone.

• There has been no operation for a long time (e.g., 45 minutes).

Overheating Prevention: Heating power is reduced automatically if the bottom of the cookware begins to overheat.

Main Power Auto Shut-off: The main power automatically turns off if 1 minute has elapsed without any operation after being turned on.

Hot Surface Warning: A warning light illuminates when the top plate is hot and will continue to flash, even after the power is off, until it has cooled down.

Child Lock: Locks all operations to prevent unintended use.

Turning Power On/Off: Touch the Main Power Key to turn the cooktop on or off. The power will automatically shut off after 1 minute of inactivity.

Luminous Circle: This light illuminates while heating and its brightness corresponds to the heat level. It will flash as long as the top plate is hot, even after power off.

Cooking Modes:

• Heating Mode: For basic cooking like boiling, simmering, and stir-frying.

• Pan-frying Mode: For pan-frying with a specific temperature setting.

• Deep-frying Mode: For deep-frying with a specific temperature setting.

• Congee Mode: For automatic congee cooking.

MAX key: Touch to immediately set the heat level of the right cooking zone to 9.

Timer: Use this key to set a count-up timer or a countdown timer for cooking.

Child Lock Key: When the main power is on, touch and hold for 3 seconds to lock all operations. Touch and hold for another 3 seconds to unlock.

Hot Surface Warning: An indicator for each heater that illuminates when the top plate is hot.

ECONAVI: The IR sensor regulates temperature by detecting changes in the cookware’s temperature, which helps save energy. It works even if the size, material, or amount of ingredients changes.

Compatible Cookware:

• Material: Iron / Cast iron, Enamelled iron, Magnetic stainless steel. The base must be magnetic.

• Bottom Shape: Flat.

• Size: 12 cm or more in diameter.

Incompatible Cookware:

• Material: Aluminum, Copper, Heat-resistant glass, Ceramic, Earthenware, Nonmagnetic stainless steel.

• Bottom Shape: Round, legged, or curved (with a curve of 3 mm or more).

• Size: Under 12 cm in diameter.

How to Check Compatibility:

1. Place the cookware with 1 cup of water on the cooking zone.

2. Turn the cooktop on.

3. Set the heat level to 6.

4. If the cooktop heats the water, the cookware is compatible. If it doesn’t heat or an error appears, it is not compatible.

Note: Even some cookware marked for induction heating, such as certain ceramic or earthenware pots, may cause malfunctions, reduced power, or heating to stop.

1. Place compatible cookware on the cooking zone and turn on the main power.

2. Touch the Heating Mode key. The default level is typically 6.

3. Use the `+` or `-` keys to adjust the heat level from 1 to 9. Touch and hold to change the level rapidly. For maximum power, you can use the `MAX` key for the right cooking zone.

4. When cooking is complete, touch the Heating Mode key again to turn off the zone.

Heat Level Adjustment Guideline:

Pan-frying Mode (Temperature range: 140°C – 230°C)

1. Place your pan with oil on the cooking zone and turn on the main power.

2. Touch the Pan-frying Mode key and use `+` or `-` to select your desired temperature.

3. The cooktop will preheat. A sound or display change will indicate when the set temperature is reached.

4. Begin cooking. The IR sensor will help maintain the set temperature.

5. When finished, touch the Pan-frying Mode key again to stop.

Deep-frying Mode (Temperature range: 140°C – 200°C)

1. Place your pot with the correct amount of oil (200 g to 800 g) on the cooking zone and turn on the main power.

2. Touch the Deep-frying Mode key and use `+` or `-` to select your desired temperature.

3. The cooktop will preheat. A sound or display change will indicate when the set temperature is reached.

4. Begin deep-frying your food.

5. When finished, touch the Deep-frying Mode key again to stop.

This mode automatically cooks congee for 4 or 2 servings.

Measurements:

• 4 servings: 170 g rice (approx. 200 mL), 2.4 L water.

• 2 servings: 85 g rice (approx. 100 mL), 1.3 L water.

Use suitable stainless steel pots (16-21 cm or 22-24 cm). Do not use hot water.

Steps:

1. Place all ingredients in the pot and put it on the cooking zone.

2. Turn on the main power and touch the Congee Mode key.

3. The number of servings (x4 default) and cooking time will be displayed. You can change these within 15 seconds of starting.

4. Cooking will start automatically and the cooktop will stop heating when the cycle is complete.

To cook less thickened congee: You can reduce the cooking time in 10-minute increments.

To cancel cooking: Touch the Congee Mode key again.

Note: If the room temperature is low, the congee may not be as thick. You can simmer it again using the Heating Mode (levels 3-5).

Setting the Count-up Timer:

This timer shows elapsed cooking time but does not turn off the cooking zone.

1. While a cooking zone is active, touch the Timer key once.

2. The timer will start counting up from 0:01.

3. To cancel, touch the Timer key twice.

Setting the Countdown Timer:

This timer turns off the cooking zone automatically after the set time.

1. While a cooking zone is active, touch the Timer key twice.

2. Use the `+` and `-` keys to set the desired cooking time (from 1 minute to 9 hours and 30 minutes).

3. If there is no key operation for 5 seconds, the timer will be set and start counting down.

4. The cooking zone will automatically stop heating when the timer reaches zero.

5. To cancel, touch the Timer key, then press `-` until the display shows “-:–“.

Note for Pan-frying/Deep-frying: The timer starts running after preheating is completed.

Always keep the appliance clean to prevent spilled food or oil from becoming difficult to remove. Before cleaning, ensure the main power is off and the top plate has cooled down completely (the hot surface warning light is off).

CAUTION: Do not use a steam cleaner, as water may get into the electrical components and cause a malfunction.

• For light stains: Wipe with a clean, damp cloth.

• For oil stains: Wipe with a cloth dampened in a diluted neutral detergent.

• For heavy stains (scorched food): Apply a cream cleaner suitable for induction hobs to the stain. Cover it with plastic wrap or aluminum foil for a few minutes, then wipe it off.

Be sure to remove all stains before the next use, as they will become scorched and harder to clean.

If an error code appears, check the cause and resolve it. After eliminating the cause, touch the power key for the respective zone to clear the error.

Power Source

• The main power cannot be turned on: The power key requires a slightly long press to prevent accidental activation. Check if the Child Lock is engaged (the lock indicator is on); if so, unlock it.

• The main power turns off: This is normal if there is no operation for 1 minute after turning the power on (Main power auto shut-off feature).

• Heating stops while cooking: This is normal if there has been no operation for 45 minutes. To simmer for a long time, use the Timer function.

Operation Panel

• Key operation is disabled: Your fingertip may not be covering the key properly. Alternatively, the handle of the cookware may be positioned over the control panel, disabling the keys.

• Keys react when the surrounded area is touched: There is a stain or liquid on the control panel. Clean and dry the panel.

Sound and Noise

• Noise is heard while heating (buzzing, clicking): This is not a malfunction. Various sounds can be produced depending on the type and construction of the cookware. Try slightly moving the cookware.

• Fan sound can be heard after power is turned off: The internal cooling fan continues to operate as long as the appliance is hot. It will stop automatically once cooled.

Heating Power

• Heating power is weaker than usual: The Overheating Prevention feature may have been activated, which automatically reduces power if the cookware bottom gets too hot. Heating power will return to normal after the cookware cools down. Also, if you are using both cooking zones together, the total power is automatically regulated to restrict overall consumption, which may decrease the power on one or both zones.
