Step 1. Insert a flathead screwdriver into the opening on the left of the screw cover and unlatch the screw cover.

These optional service cards have 100 ohm terminal resistance. For use in point to multi-point connection, the cards must be placed at the end of the bus.

Connect the card to the trunk through an NT1 and do not connect it directly to the U interface. You must use only one type of connector (RJ45 or BNC) as they cannot be used simultaneously. Set the termination switch to 120 ohm (default) or 75 ohm for the connector type being used.

Step 4. Connect the other end of the earthing wire to earth.

The earthing wire must have green and yellow insulation, and the cross-sectional area of the conductor must be more than 0.75 square millimeters or 18 AWG.

Step 1. Slide the System Initialise Switch to the SYSTEM INITIALIZE position.

Step 2. Plug the AC power cord into the PANASONIC KX-TDA200 and an AC outlet, then turn on the unit. The RUN indicator will flash.

Step 3. While the RUN indicator is flashing, slide the System Initialise Switch back to the NORMAL position.

Step 4. Wait for the initialisation process to complete (about 1 to 3 minutes). The RUN indicator will stop flashing and stay lit.

All data will be cleared, and the PANASONIC KX-TDA200 will be initialised to the factory default values.

You can connect the PC using either a USB cable or an RS-232C cross cable.

Ensure that both connector cases (frame ground) of the RS-232C cross cable or USB cable are conductive. If they are not, ensure that both connector cases of the cable are firmly connected. Alternatively, connect the frame of the PANASONIC KX-TDA200 to the frame of the PC using an earthing wire to prevent differences in electrical potential.

Step 1. Copy the setup file of the Maintenance Console to your PC.

Step 2. Double-click the setup file to run the installer.

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the installation wizard.
