The following tools are required for installation:

• Hex Drill Bit (included)
• Ladder
• Drill
• Scissors
• Wire Stripper (for Splicer)
• Screw Driver

Before installing the lights, follow these pre-installation steps:

1. Connect optional extension cables if needed.
2. Connect the lights to the outlet after all components are connected.
3. Test that the lights turn on.
4. Download the Nanoleaf App.
5. Pair the Nanoleaf lights with the app prior to installation. Ensure your mobile device is within 10m/30ft of the controller during pairing.
6. Test the connection by ensuring your outlet is within the Wi-Fi range of your home.

Note: The socket used must be a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).

To mount the PSU (Optional):

1. Drill pilot holes first if necessary using a 2mm | 5/64″ bit.

2. Secure the PSU using two screws.

To mount the Controller (Optional):

1. Drill pilot holes first if necessary using a 2mm | 5/64″ bit.

2. Mount the controller plate using two screws.

3. Snap the controller onto the mount.

The controller features three buttons with the following functions:

• Top button: Power
• Middle button: Scene control
• Bottom button: Brightness control

The recommended distance for installing the light pucks from the mounting surface edge is 5–10cm (2–4 inches).

Installation Steps:

1. Clean the installation surface.
2. Peel the backing off the adhesive on the back of the puck or clip.
3. Press the puck against the surface and hold for 20 seconds.
4. Optionally, for a more secure installation or if needed, drill pilot holes (2mm | 5/64″) and secure the pucks using the provided screws.
5. Ensure the wire between pucks is straight and tight, not loose or wavy.
6. Optionally, use Cable Cover Clips between the pucks.
7. Install the Cable Covers by snapping them into the clips or track between the lights.
8. Repeat the process until all pucks are installed.

Important: Ensure the last string has a waterproof cap installed and screwed on tight.

The Splicer is intended to be used in cases where cutting/shortening a Light String or Extension Cable would improve the installation. This allows for the use of a Male Wire Connector or Female Wire Connector.

WARNING: Cutting and joining of the wires should only be done by a qualified professional. Do NOT attempt to use a Splicer on the cabling for the Power Supply Unit or Controller. This will render your system inoperable and voids the warranty. Disconnect power supply before cutting.

Instructions:

1. Disassemble the connector: Remove the Shell, Silicone Plug, and Locking Nut.
2. Cut the wire at the desired location (ensure power is disconnected).
3. Thread the wire through the Locking Nut, then the Silicone Plug, and then the Shell.
4. Strip the wire casing: Remove 26mm of the outer jacket and 12mm of the inner wire insulation.
5. Insert the stripped wires into the connector terminals.
6. Tighten the Locking Nut and Shell securely onto the connector body.

For optional corner installation:

1. Use the corner mounting brackets.
2. Drill pilot holes using a 2mm | 5/64″ bit if necessary.
3. Secure the corner brackets with screws.
4. Cut the Cable Cover at a 45-degree angle using a saw or cutting tool to fit the corner cleanly.
5. Snap the covers into place.

Safety Information:

• For outdoor installation, use a covered wall socket fitted with a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).
• Do not use this product for other than its intended use.
• Do not connect the chain to the supply while it is in the packing unless adapted for display.
• Do not cover or recess the light chain into a surface.
• Do not place near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles, or similar heat sources.
• Do not secure wiring with staples, nails, or sharp hooks. Do not damage the wire.
• Do not hang objects from the cord, wire, or lights.
• Do not close doors or windows on the product or extension cords.
• Do not cover the product with cloth, paper, or any material that is not part of the product.
• Do not put the power supply in outdoor areas, regardless of weather conditions.
• Do not open, disassemble, or submerse the device.
• Ensure all gaskets are in place before use.
• Loose cables within arm’s reach must be secured to the wall and checked regularly to reduce strangulation risk.

Caution: Ensure the product is unplugged before assembling, disassembling, installing, relocating, servicing, or cleaning. Keep at least 4.8m / 16ft from pools and spas.
