What are the important safety instructions for the V500 Smart Dock charger?
This document contains important safety and operating instructions. Please read these instructions carefully and save them for future reference.
CAUTION:
1. To reduce risk of damage to the power supply electric plugs and cords, pull the plug rather than the cord when disconnecting from the AC outlet or the charger.
2. An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. Use of an improper extension cord could result in risk of fire and electric shock. If an extension cord must be used, make sure that the cord size is 18 AWG for lengths of up to 6.5 feet (2.0 m), and 16 AWG for lengths up to 9.8 feet (3.0 m).
3. To reduce risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, do not operate the charger if it has been broken or damaged in any way. Take it to a qualified Motorola Solutions service representative.
4. Do not disassemble the charger. It is not repairable and replacement parts are not available. Disassembly of the charger may result in risk of electric shock or fire.
5. To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug the charger power supply from the AC outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
6. To reduce risk of injury, charge only rechargeable Motorola Solutions Authorized devices listed. Other devices may explode, causing personal injury and damage.
7. Use of accessories not recommended by Motorola Solutions may result in risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.
What are the operational safety guidelines for the V500 Smart Dock?
• This equipment is not suitable for outdoor use. Use only in dry locations and conditions.
• Maximum ambient temperature must be kept below 25°C (77°F) to ensure battery charging is enabled. In any case, the maximum ambient temperature around the charger must not exceed 40°C (104°F).
• Connect the charger only to an appropriate power supply with an appropriate power cord as listed.
• The AC outlet to which the power supply is connected should be close and easily accessible.
• Make sure the power supply cord connected to the charger is located where it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or subjected to water, damage, or stress.
• Connect the power cord to an appropriately fused and wired AC outlet with the correct voltage, as specified on the product.
• Disconnect from line voltage by removing the power cord from the AC outlet.
How do I set up the V500 Smart Dock?
Procedure:

How do I mount the Wall Mount Bracket to a wall?
The wall mount bracket is an optional accessory.
Prerequisites:
WARNING:
• Engage a trained and experienced technician to install the wall mount bracket. Having the mounting bracket installed by a non-specialized technician is dangerous and can cause damage or injury.
• Do not install the wall mount bracket in a location that cannot support the weight. If the strength of the location that the wall mount bracket is installed is not strong enough, the wall mount bracket can fall off and cause an injury.
• Do not install the mounting bracket on a structure that is prone to vibration, movement, or chance of impact.
CAUTION: Ensure that the area behind the mounting surface is free from electrical wires, cables, or pipes before cutting, drilling, or installing the mounting screws.
Procedure:
1. Position the bracket and mark the location of the mounting holes on the wall surface.
NOTE: Motorola Solutions recommends installing the wall mount bracket at a height that allows for easy reach of the cameras and clear visibility of the camera top displays. Install the wall mount bracket at a height such that the camera top displays are between the waist level and the eye level of the user, with the optimal position being at the chest level. Mounting the bracket above or below this range can compromise the visibility of the camera top displays and the ease of reaching the cameras.
2. Mount the bracket to the wall using appropriate mounting hardware such as drywall anchors. The top mounting holes have a sliding feature for easier mounting.
3. Drill pilot holes according to the markings on the wall.
4. To secure the bracket, install the mounting hardware over the mounting holes on the bracket tightly.
NOTE: Motorola Solutions recommends using a 10 – 16 × 1.5 inches or M5 × 40 mm tapping screw and washer (not included) on the wood stud and solid-flat concrete or brick wall.
5. Mount any additional brackets next to each other either horizontally, vertically or both. No minimum distance is required between the wall mount brackets.
How do I install the V500 Smart Dock on the Wall Mount Bracket?
Procedure:
1. Align the Secure Holes on the V500 Smart Dock with the studs on the wall mount bracket.
2. Place the V500 Smart Dock on the wall mount bracket and pull downwards until the latch snaps into place. The latch locks the V500 Smart Dock to the wall mount bracket.
How do I remove the V500 Smart Dock from the Wall Mount Bracket?
Procedure:
1. Press the latch and push the V500 Smart Dock upwards to unlock from the wall mount bracket.
2. Pull the V500 Smart Dock away from the wall mount bracket for removal.
