To delete all codes, which is recommended for the initial setup of your MORNING INDUSTRY QF-01, press and hold the C button. Wait for a series of confirmation beeps. You will need to hold the C button for approximately 10-15 seconds.

To add a new code to your MORNING INDUSTRY QF-01, follow these steps:

1. Press the S button once.

2. Within 5 seconds, enter a 2 to 8 digit passcode, followed by the unlock button.

You will hear beeps to indicate the result:

2 Beeps = Success

3 Beeps = Try Again

0 Beeps = Go to Troubleshooting

To delete a specific code from your MORNING INDUSTRY QF-01, follow these steps:

1. Press the C button once.

2. Within 5 seconds, enter the code you wish to delete, followed by the unlock button.

You will hear beeps to indicate the result:

2 Beeps = Success

3 Beeps = Try Again

0 Beeps = Go to Troubleshooting

TO UNLOCK: Enter your code followed by the UNLOCK button.

TO LOCK: Press the LOCK button once.

TO LIGHT KEYPAD: Press the “Mi” button once.

You will need a Phillips screwdriver and four AA batteries for installation.

1. Adjust Latch Backset: Adjust the latch backset (part E) to either 60mm (2 3/8″) or 70mm (2 3/4″) as needed for your door.

2. Install Door Latch: Insert the latch into the edge of the door and secure it using the provided screws (F1, F3).

3. Mount Front Module: Mount the front module (part A) on the exterior of the door, making sure to feed the cable through the door hole.

4. Fasten Back Mounting Plate: Place the back mounting plate (part D) on the interior side of the door, routing the cable through its center hole. Secure the front module to the back mounting plate using the long screws (F1).

5. Mount & Fasten Back Module: Connect the cable from the front module to the back module (part B). Mount the back module onto the mounting plate and fasten it with the small screws (F2).

6. Install Battery Cover: Install the four AA batteries into the back module. Place the battery cover over the batteries and secure it with the screw (F4).

On the back module (part B) of your MORNING INDUSTRY QF-01, there is a switch labeled “1-2” that controls the handing.

1 = Right Hand Doors (most common): If the hinges are on the right when you are entering the doorway, you have a right-handed door.

2 = Left Hand Doors: If the hinges are on the left when you are entering the doorway, you have a left-handed door.

Batteries: To avoid difficulties, ensure you are using brand new AA alkaline batteries.

Door Jam Alignment: Make sure the deadbolt and the hole in the door jam line up so there is minimal resistance on the deadbolt as it extends and retracts.

Driver Bar Position: During installation, the driver bar must be in the vertical position while the deadbolt is retracted. The thumb turn must be positioned according to which side the door latch faces. If these parts are not positioned correctly, you may encounter issues like the lock only working with the key, a jammed thumb turn, or a key that won’t release. If you suspect this is the issue, remove the lock from the door and reinstall it according to the instructions.

Keypad: If the keypad wire harness is not connected securely, it may cause some numbers to operate inconsistently. To check this, press every number on the keypad and confirm each button beeps. If some numbers do not beep, remove the back module (part B), inspect the wires for pinches or tears, and check the wires from the keypad as well. Disconnect the wire harness, ensure the pins in the male connection are not bent, then reconnect the wires and confirm every button beeps when pressed.

Function Test: To check if a passcode is successfully programmed in memory, unlock the door and keep it open. Press the LOCK button on the keypad once and listen to the beeps:

• If the lock beeps 3 times and does not lock, it does not have a passcode in its memory. You need to add a passcode.

• If the lock produces a longer set of rapid beeps (and either locks or doesn’t lock), you have low batteries. Replace the batteries with a set of 4 premium “AA” alkaline batteries.

• If the lock beeps 2 times and locks successfully, it has at least one passcode stored and is operating correctly.

General Warning:

The back module (part B) of the MORNING INDUSTRY QF-01 needs to be protected from weather.

Battery Precautions:

• Do not mix old with new batteries.

• Do not use rechargeable batteries.

• Remove batteries from the product when storing it for extended periods of time.

• Do not dispose of batteries in fire as they may explode. Please follow your local battery disposal procedure.

• Do not puncture batteries. Electrolyte leakage from the batteries is corrosive and can cause serious harm to the eyes or skin. If swallowed, the electrolyte can be toxic.

• Do not allow conductive materials such as jewelry or metal tools to make contact with the batteries, which may cause a short circuit. With a short circuit, the batteries and conductive material can become extremely hot and cause burns.
