To ensure safe operation, please adhere to the following warnings:

• Do not turn the unit on or off if a flammable gas has leaked. Instead, open windows to ventilate the area. This could otherwise cause a fire or explosion from sparks.

• Do not modify or disassemble the unit, as this could lead to fire, electric shock, or injury.

• Do not apply water to the unit or the remote controller, as this can result in electrical shock.

• Do not poke your fingers or any objects into the air intake and outlet while the product is operating to avoid injury.

• Do not operate the unit with wet hands, as this can result in electrical shock.

• Always use the specified power supply and voltage. Using an incorrect power supply could cause a fire or electric shock.

• Before starting any maintenance, make sure the power supply isolator on the power distribution panel is turned off to prevent electric shock or injury.

• If you notice any abnormal conditions, such as a burning smell, stop the operation immediately, turn off the power supply isolator, and consult your dealer. Continuing to operate under such conditions could lead to electric shock, fire, or damage.

Please observe the following cautions for safe and proper use:

• Do not place a burning appliance where it is directly exposed to the wind from the Lossnay unit, as this could cause incomplete combustion.

• Do not operate with the “BY-PASS” function when heating the room in winter. Condensed water may drip from the unit and wet the ceiling surface.

• Do not use the unit in places exposed to high temperatures (40°C or higher), naked flames, or in an environment with heavy fumes, as it could cause a fire.

• Do not use in environments like a chemical factory where hazardous or corrosive gases (acidic, alkaline, organic solvent fumes, paint fumes) are present, as it could cause a malfunction.

• After maintenance, ensure all parts are securely installed to prevent injury from falling parts.

• Always wear gloves during maintenance to prevent injury.

• If the Lossnay unit will not be used for a long period, turn off the power supply isolator on the power distribution panel to prevent electric shock, power leakage, or fire from deteriorated insulation.

• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe use. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.

Not connected to an external device:

Simply run the unit using the remote controller (e.g., PZ-61DR-E). If two remote controllers are used, the last controller to be used has priority (Last Command).

Connected to an external device (e.g., air conditioner):

When an external device is connected, its “On/Off” function will also control the Lossnay operation. If you wish to turn ON the Lossnay unit by itself while the external device is OFF, you must operate it using the Lossnay remote controller. When controlled this way:

• The fan speed will be set to Fan speed 3 or Fan speed 4.

• The ventilation mode will be “Auto Ventilation Mode”.

LOSSNAY ENERGY RECOVERY VENTILATE setting:

Both fresh air supply and return air pass through the energy recovery cores. This process makes the fresh air temperature closer to the indoor temperature, saving energy in both winter and summer.

BY-PASS VENTILATE setting:

Fresh air passes through the Lossnay cores, but the return room air is exhausted directly without passing through the cores. This mode is normally operated during the spring and autumn seasons.

AUTOMATIC VENTILATION setting:

This mode automatically selects the correct ventilation for the room’s conditions. It uses “By-pass” ventilation to achieve the following:

1. Reduces cooling load: If the outside air is cooler than the inside air during the cooling season (e.g., early morning), “By-pass” ventilation brings in the cooler air, reducing the load on the cooling system.

2. Night purge: “By-pass” ventilation can release hot air that has accumulated inside a building during the hot summer season.

3. Office equipment room cooling: During cold seasons, fresh outside air can be drawn in as-is to cool rooms where temperatures have risen due to office equipment.

• In the case of “By-pass” ventilation, the supply air temperature may rise slightly higher than the outside air temperature due to the heat effect from the ducts or the unit’s motors.

• When set to auto ventilation mode while using the pre-heater function, the outdoor temperature may be detected as higher than it is, which can cause the mode to change to by-pass mode, even in winter.

To prevent a deterioration in the Lossnay functions, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Air filters: Clean once a year, or when the filter indicator is shown on the remote controller.

• Lossnay cores: Clean once every two years. If possible, clean once a year. The frequency should be increased depending on the extent of dirt.

1) Maintenance cover

1. Remove the black screw.

2. Slide the fix piece to the outside.

3. Open the hinge wire.

(Note: Models LGH-150 and 200RVX-E have 2 fix pieces).

2) Lossnay cores

Take hold of the handle on the Lossnay core and draw it out from the main unit.

3) Air filters

After pulling out the Lossnay cores, undo the filter guides. Then, remove the air filters, which are located at the bottom left and right of the Lossnay cores. Bow the filter stoppers slightly to remove them from the filter guide, being careful not to break them.

1) Air filters

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove light dust. To remove stubborn dirt, wash the filters in a mild solution of detergent and lukewarm water (under 40°C).

CAUTION:

• Never wash the filters in very hot water and never wash them by rubbing them.

• Do not dry the filters by exposing them to a flame.

2) Lossnay cores

Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to suck up dust and dirt from the exposed surfaces of the Lossnay cores. Use a soft brush only to clean exposed surface areas.

CAUTION:

• Do not use the hard nozzle of the vacuum cleaner, as it may damage the exposed surfaces of the Lossnay cores.

• Under no circumstances should the Lossnay cores be washed in water.

Assemble the parts by following the removal sequence in reverse, keeping these points in mind:

• Arrange the Lossnay core with the air filter side facing downward.

• For models LGH-15RVX-E and LGH-35RVX-E, the filter has a front and back side. Set the “FRONT” (printed) side of the filter on the outer side.

• If a filter maintenance icon is indicated on the remote controller, turn off the indication after maintenance is complete.

* The above values apply during Lossnay ventilation when the fan speed is set to Fan speed 4 at the rating pressure loss and 230 V / 50 Hz.

* The noise level values reflect levels measured at a position 1.5 meters immediately below the unit in an anechoic chamber.

* Noise may change or increase due to the Bypass-Automatic function or automatic fan speed changes.

* Temperature Exchange efficiency (%) is based on winter conditions.

If you hear strange sounds, if no air is blown out, or if some other trouble occurs, switch off the power and contact your dealer. Consult with your dealer concerning the cost of inspection or repair work.

You should inspect your unit and contact your dealer if you notice any of the following issues to prevent failure or hazard:

• The fan does not run when the unit is turned on.

• There are abnormal noises or vibrations while the unit is running.

• The fan rotation is retarded or irregular.

• There is a burnt odor.

• The motors, which are components requiring maintenance, are not functioning correctly.

• You see a corroded or damaged installation section.

If you notice these problems, stop running the unit and call for service.
