In standby mode, press Button A. The MINIWARE TS21 will enter heating working mode. After the temperature is heated to the preset working temperature, the TS21 will automatically maintain a constant temperature.
Boost Operation:
In the heating working state, press and hold Button A. The MINIWARE TS21 will enter boost heating mode. The temperature of the soldering tip will rise to the boost heating temperature and maintain a constant temperature. When Button A is released, the temperature will drop back to the preset working temperature.
To stop heating, long press Button B in heating mode to return to standby mode.
How do I adjust the temperature on the MINIWARE TS21?
The MINIWARE TS21 has two temperature adjustment methods:
1. Select preset temperature:
In standby state, press Button A to select between preset temperatures T1, T2, or T3. After selection, the TS21 will heat up to the selected preset temperature and maintain it.
2. Direct Temperature Adjustment:
In the heating state, press Button B to enter the “Work Temp” menu for the current working temperature setting. Press Button A or B to adjust the temperature. The setting will be automatically saved and the device will return to heating mode after 5 seconds of no operation. The iron will then heat to the newly set temperature. This modification is valid for the current session only and will not be saved after a power cycle.
Note: If the power supply voltage is too low, the screen will show “Low volt!”. Please replace the power source.
How do the sleep and standby states work on the MINIWARE TS21?
Entering Sleep Mode:
In working mode, if the MINIWARE TS21 remains still for 60 seconds (this is the factory default, adjustable via the “Sleep Time” setting), it will enter sleep mode. The “zZ” symbol will appear on the screen, and the soldering tip will cool down to the sleep temperature (adjustable via the “Sleep Time” setting).
Exiting Sleep Mode:
When movement is detected, the TS21 will automatically exit sleep mode and return to working mode. The soldering tip will heat up to the working temperature it was at before entering sleep mode.
Entering Standby State:
The MINIWARE TS21 can be set to return to the standby state after standing still for a certain period at the sleep temperature. This is configured using the “Idle Time” setting. After an additional 60 seconds in standby mode (factory default, adjustable via “Sleep Time”), the screen of the TS21 will turn off.

How do I replace a soldering tip on the MINIWARE TS21?
1. Please replace the soldering tip only after the power is off and the tip has cooled down.
2. Pull out the original soldering tip from the controller.
3. Reinsert another iron tip firmly into the controller.
4. Turn on the power again. If the MINIWARE TS21 shows: “NO TIP!”, it means that the soldering tip is not firmly installed. Please power off and reinsert the soldering tip.
What types of soldering tips are available for the MINIWARE TS21?
There are 3 kinds of soldering tips available for the MINIWARE TS21:
• TS21-KU: A knife-style tip with a 7.4mm width.
• TS21-I: A conical fine-point tip with a 6mm length.
• TS21-IS: A smaller conical fine-point tip with a 5mm length.
How should I maintain the soldering tip of my MINIWARE TS21?
1. When not in use for a long time, it is recommended that the soldering tip be properly tinned to prevent oxidation.
2. Do not let the soldering tip be heated at a high temperature for a long time to avoid dry burning.
3. When soldering, do not apply too much pressure on the soldering tip to rub the solder joints to avoid damage to the tip.
4. Never use rough materials or files to clean the tip of the soldering iron.
5. If the surface of the soldering tip has oxidized and does not stick to tin, you can rub it with 600-800 mesh gold steel emery cloth and clean it with ethyl propanol or an equivalent solution. To prevent further oxidation, dip it in tin immediately after heating it up to 200°C.
6. Do not use chlorine or acid-rich flux; only use synthetic resin or activated resin flux.
What should I do if there is no display on the MINIWARE TS21 screen after powering it on?
1. Check the power source and cable to ensure they are connected properly and supplying power.
2. Check if the device can enter DFU mode. To do this, connect it to a computer while holding Button A and see if a virtual disk appears.
Why is the displayed temperature of my MINIWARE TS21 jumping around the preset temperature?
Please check the following:
1. Is the soldering tip being used for the first time or was it stored in a humid environment? If so, wait for the soldering tip to be fully heated, and the temperature should stabilize.
2. Ensure the soldering tip has been installed correctly and is seated firmly.
3. Check if the power cable is in poor contact. Try a different cable or power source if possible.
Why does my MINIWARE TS21 restart automatically or display a “Ti” icon?
1. Check if the power supply is plugged in and powered on normally.
2. Verify that the power parameters (voltage, wattage) of your power source meet the usage requirements of the MINIWARE TS21.
What does it mean if the screen on my MINIWARE TS21 displays an “X” icon?
This icon indicates a problem with the soldering tip. Please check the following:
1. Ensure the soldering tip has been installed correctly.
2. The soldering iron tip may have burned out and needs to be replaced.
Why doesn’t the tip of my MINIWARE TS21 stick to the solder?
There are several potential reasons for this issue:
1. The temperature of the soldering tip may exceed 400°C, causing rapid oxidation.
2. The soldering tip may not be properly tinned.
3. There is a lack of flux, or you are using solder with low purity or low tin content.
4. You may have wiped the soldering tip with a dry sponge or material with high sulfur content or dryness, which can contaminate the tip.
5. The tip may have come into contact with organic substances such as plastics, silicon grease, or other chemicals.
How do I update the firmware on the MINIWARE TS21?
1. First, download the applicable soldering iron firmware for the MINIWARE TS21 to your computer.
2. Press and hold Button A of the TS21 and connect it to the computer via the USB Type-C cable. The TS21 will enter DFU mode, and the screen will display “DFU:X.XX”. A virtual disk will also appear on the computer.
3. Copy the prepared .hex firmware file to the root directory of the virtual disk.
4. When the firmware suffix changes from .hex to .rdy, the update is complete. Disconnect the USB connection to finish the firmware upgrade.
