When using the MEDIA MAD111D8APKW, ensure the following regarding placement and the power cord:

Do not place the appliance against a wall or against other appliances. Leave at least 5 inches (13cm) of free space on the back, front, sides, and above the appliance.

Do not operate the appliance on or near combustible materials such as tablecloths and curtains.

Do not place anything on top of the appliance.

Do not let the power cord contact hot surfaces or open flames, including stovetops.

Do not place the appliance on any kind of stovetop, near gas or electric burners, or in a heated oven.

Use a short power-supply cord to reduce the risk of entanglement. If an extension cord is used, its electrical rating must be at least as great as the appliance, and it should be arranged so it does not drape over the countertop where it can be pulled by children.

The control panel features several touch buttons and a central knob:

Functions: Any of the 8 functions (Air Fry, Grill, Dehydrate, Bake, Roast, Broil, Reheat, Toast) can be used. Select the cavity (Upper or Lower) and rotate the knob to change the function.

Display: Shows cook time, set temperature, reminder messages, and error messages.

Cavity Selection: Touch UPPER or LOWER to program or adjust the function for each cavity.

Cancel: Touch while cooking to stop the cycle or while programming to return to standby.

Start/Pause: Touch to start cooking. Touch while cooking to pause, and touch again to resume.

TIME/TEMP: After selecting a function, touch TIME or TEMP and rotate the knob to adjust the settings.

Knob: Rotate to adjust settings and push to select the cook time, temperature, or function.

LIGHT: Touch to activate or deactivate the light in both cavities.

SYNC FINISH: Activates the feature that makes both cavities finish cooking at the same time.

1. Place the crisper plate into the basket with the handle up and evenly place food on the plate.

2. Insert the basket into the upper cavity.

3. Plug in the appliance.

4. Touch UPPER to start programming.

5. Rotate the knob to change the function and press the knob to select it.

6. The preset cook time will flash. Rotate and push the knob to adjust time. Touch TEMP to adjust temperature using the knob.

7. Touch the left START/PAUSE button to start cooking.

8. If “Turn Food” appears, flip or shake the food.

9. When “End” appears and 3 beeps sound, remove the food.

1. Insert the drip tray into the lower cavity.

2. Place food on the grill rack or grill tray. They can be used together.

3. Insert the rack or tray into the lower cavity.

4. Plug in the appliance.

5. Touch LOWER to start programming.

6. Rotate the knob to select a function and press to confirm.

7. Adjust time and temperature using the knob and the TIME/TEMP buttons.

8. Touch the right START/PAUSE button to start cooking.

9. Follow “Turn Food” prompts if they appear.

10. When “End” appears, remove food.

1. Place food in the upper basket and lower tray/rack and insert them into their respective cavities.

2. Touch UPPER or LOWER to start programming one cavity.

3. Select the function, time, and temperature for the first cavity.

4. Repeat the steps for the cavity that has not yet been programmed.

5. If not using Sync Finish, touch the START/PAUSE buttons for each cavity independently to begin cooking.

The Sync Finish function ensures both cavities finish cooking at the same time.

1. Program both the upper and lower cavities with your desired settings.

2. Touch the SYNC FINISH button. The “SYNC FINISH” indicator will appear.

3. Touch either START/PAUSE button. Both cavities will start.

4. The cavity with less cook time will display “HoLd” until the remaining times match, at which point both will cook down together.

Note: The default time and temps are a starting point. Experiment to find best results.

1. Download the SmartHome app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

2. Create a new account or log in.

3. Ensure your mobile phone is connected to a wireless network and Bluetooth is enabled.

4. Power on your MEDIA MAD111D8APKW.

5. Open the app. If a “Smart devices discovered nearby” message appears, click to add.

6. If no message appears, select “+” on the page and select your device from the list of nearby devices available. If not listed, add manually by category and model.

7. Follow the instructions in the app to connect the device to your wireless network.

Note: Supports 2.4 GHz band routers.

Always unplug the air fryer and let it cool before cleaning. Do not use metal scouring pads.

Upper Basket: Clean with a sponge or cloth, warm water, and dish soap. DO NOT immerse in water or use a dishwasher.

Grill Tray & Drip Tray: Clean with a cloth or sponge and warm soapy water. These have a non-stick coating; do not use metal utensils. DO NOT clean in the dishwasher.

Crisper Plate: Clean with a cloth or sponge and warm soapy water. Do not use metal utensils. DO NOT clean in the dishwasher.

Cooking Cavities: Clean with a sponge or soft cloth, warm water, and dish soap. To remove baked-on grease, spray with a baking soda and vinegar mixture, let sit, then wipe clean.

Heating Element: Check for oil spatter or debris. Clean with a damp cloth as needed. Ensure it is dry before next use.

Exterior: Clean with a soft, damp cloth or sponge and wipe dry.

Windows: Clean internal and external sides with a cloth/sponge and warm soapy water.

If the product is not working or has no power, the power cord may not be connected properly. Check that the power cord is firmly plugged into a grounded outlet. If this does not solve the problem, contact Customer Service.

White smoke may leak when grilling greasy food; this is a normal phenomenon. It may also occur if the fryer still has grease residue from a previous bake. Be sure to clean the air fryer after each use.

Food may be undercooked if:

1. The upper basket and lower oven are operating at the same time. Simultaneous operation may require increased cook times compared to single batches.

2. Food was not placed in an even layer. Ensure food is placed in an even layer with no overlapping for best performance.

Food may not be crispy if:

1. The crisper plate was not used in the upper basket. Always use the crisper plate to allow air to flow underneath the food.

2. The food was improperly prepped. For optimal crispiness, spray or brush small amounts of oil onto the food before air frying.

Ensure you are using the knob correctly. After touching UPPER or LOWER, the knob can be rotated to change the function and pushed to select it. The actual function icons on the panel cannot be touched for selection.
