It is recommended to restore the MAD DOG GK960K to its factory settings after installing the software. You can do this by holding down the Fn+Esc hotkey combination for 5 seconds.

To change the function of a key, select the Key Binding section located on the left side of the application. Using the keyboard visualization on the screen, select the specific key you wish to alter. Then, click on either Keyboard or Mouse, and select the new function to be assigned. Once you have made your selection, press the Save icon to confirm the change. To return the key to its default function, press the Reset Key icon.

Using the keyboard visualization, select the key you want to modify, then click on the Multimedia option at the bottom of the screen. Pick the desired function, then press the Save button to confirm. To restore the default settings for that key, click on it and select Reset key.

Select the key you wish to change on the keyboard visualization, then click on the Macro option at the bottom of the screen. Choose the desired macro you have previously created and press the Save button to confirm. If you wish to restore the default settings, click on the key and select the Reset key option.

When configuring a macro, you have the following options:

Number of repetitions: You can set the sequence to loop between 1 and 65535 times.

Repeat when the key is pressed: The macro sequence will continue to play for as long as the key is held down.

Repeat until any button is pressed: The sequence will loop until you press any other key on the keyboard.

To create a macro, select Macro Editor from the main menu, press the plus icon to create a new macro, and give it a name. Click Record to start recording, input your desired key combination, and then select Stop Recording to finish.

To edit a macro, select it from the list. You can remove or change any individual combination by clicking it twice. You can also modify the timing of operations by double-clicking the time value and entering a new value between 1 and 65280 milliseconds. Press Enter to confirm any changes made to timing.

Select Backlight mode from the main menu and choose a ready-made mode from the list. Depending on the mode selected, you can adjust settings such as brightness, backlight speed, and color. A preview of the effect will be shown on the virtual keyboard.

To set a specific color for a key, select the Own mode, choose your color, and then select the specific key on the virtual keyboard to assign it.

To use the rhythm of music mode, select Backlight to the rhythm of music, choose a mode, and ensure the slider under the virtual keyboard is set to ON.
