Before installing your LG BC 400E oven, please adhere to the following safety precautions:

1. All electrical installation work must be performed by a qualified electrician or a competent person.

2. The oven must be installed according to the provided instructions to prevent any damage.

3. The oven must be disconnected from the power supply before starting any installation or maintenance tasks.

4. The oven must always be earthed.

To install your LG BC 400E oven in a low cabinet, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the oven and kitchen cabinet dimensions match those shown in the installation diagrams.

2. The oven’s power supply must be located in the back area (P) of the kitchen cabinet or outside the installation cupboard.

3. Depending on the power supply position, make a hole “P” in the back wall or a hole “R” in the side wall of the kitchen cupboard to pass the connection lead through.

4. Lift the oven using the side holes and slide it into the cabinet. Do not attempt to lift the oven by its front door handle.

5. Be careful not to kink the wires of the electrical supply cable during installation.

6. If you are also installing a hob, follow the hob’s installation instructions.

When installing the LG BC 400E oven in a high cabinet, please observe the following requirements:

1. A minimum gap of 10mm must be maintained between the rear of the installed oven and the connecting wall.

2. To lift the oven, use the side holes as indicated by the arrow in the diagram (Fig-2A).

3. The kitchen cabinet material that is in contact with the oven must be heat resistant up to 90 °C.

4. The fronts of any close units must be heat resistant up to at least 70 °C.

For correct ventilation of the LG BC 400E oven, ensure the following:

1. A ventilation opening of 50mm is required between the back wall and the floor of the installation cabinet.

2. A ventilation gap of 5mm is required between the oven’s top rim and the cooktop’s lower rim.

3. A ventilation gap of 5mm is required between both side rims of the oven and the cabinet.

These openings must not be closed or blocked in any way. Also, ensure that the sides of the oven are not touching the front edges of the housing.

Connecting the LG BC 400E oven to the power supply must be done by a licensed specialist following these guidelines:

1. Ensure the voltage shown on the oven’s rating plate matches the power supply voltage in your home.

2. Use a type H05 VV-F power cord.

3. The oven must be connected to the power supply using an all-pole disconnect switch with a minimum contact gap of 3mm.

4. The oven must be connected to an earthed socket as required by law.

5. The supply plug must be accessible after the installation is complete.

6. The oven’s components operate at 220-240V. Correctly identify the phase and neutral conductors in the socket to avoid damaging the oven. Incorrect connection may cause damage.

After connecting the LG BC 400E oven to the power supply, secure the oven to the kitchen unit using the provided screws as shown in the diagram (Fig-3D).
