The wired remote controller has the following buttons and their functions:

In the main screen of the wired remote, press the left/right buttons [<,>] to highlight the operation mode category. Then, press the up/down buttons [∧,∨] to select your desired mode. Some products may not support all modes.

To use the cooling operation, set the desired temperature lower than the current indoor temperature. The unit will not begin to cool until the room temperature exceeds the setpoint. The cooling operation’s minimum setting temperature is 18°C (or 20°C for UAE models).

Cool mode temperature setting range:

• Common: 18°C to 30°C (64°F to 86°F)

• UAE Only: 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F)

The compressor has a 3-minute delay function to protect it. After the cooling stops, if the product is started right away, the compressor will wait 3 minutes before starting again and producing cold wind.

Dry Operation:

This mode removes moisture from the air. The initial fan speed is “Low,” and there is no separate desired temperature setting. In rainy seasons or when humidity is high, this mode provides effective dehumidification and cooling at the same time.

Fan Only Operation:

This mode circulates indoor air without temperature control (no cooling or heating). The initial wind strength is “High,” and there is no separate desired temperature setting.

For the heating operation, set the desired temperature higher than the current indoor temperature. The minimum setting temperature is 16°C. You can select a desired temperature in the range of 16°C to 30°C. If the desired temperature is set lower than the indoor temperature, warm air will not come out. Note that the heating function is not available on cooling-exclusive models.

In the main screen of the remote, press the left/right buttons [<,>] to select the desired temperature category, then press the up/down buttons [∧,∨] to set the temperature. This is possible in Cooling, Heating, and Auto modes.

The current indoor temperature is displayed on the main screen of the wired remote controller. Due to the location of the temperature sensor, the displayed value may differ slightly from the actual room temperature. The display range is as follows:

Single setpoint:

• Fahrenheit: 52-99°F (displays ‘LO’ below 52°F, ‘HI’ over 99°F)

• Celsius: 10.5-39.5°C (displays ‘LO’ below 10.5°C, ‘HI’ over 39.5°C)

Dual setpoints:

• Fahrenheit: 34-99°F (displays ‘LO’ below 34°F, ‘HI’ over 99°F)

• Celsius: 0.5-39.5°C (displays ‘LO’ below 0.5°C, ‘HI’ over 39.5°C)

To prevent unauthorized changes, you can use the lock function.

1. On the menu screen, press the left/right buttons [<,>] to select the “lock setting” category.

2. Press the [OK] button to enter the lock setting list.

3. Use the up/down buttons [∧,∨] to select a lock function and turn it on or off.

When it is time to clean the filter, a message will appear. To check the status or reset the message:

1. Enter the menu screen and use the left/right buttons [<,>] to select the “Setting” category, then press [OK].

2. In the setting list, select “Function” and press [OK].

3. In the function setting list, select the “Filter Sign” category and press [OK] to display the detail screen.

4. This screen shows the filter usage time and remaining time. Press the “Reset” button to initialize the filter usage time after cleaning.

The filter usage status is displayed as follows:

Smart Load Control (SLC) is a function that calculates indoor air temperature, outdoor air temperature, and humidity to operate the unit more effectively. To change the SLC stage value:

1. Enter the menu screen, navigate to “Setting,” and then “Function.”

2. In the function setting list, select the “Smart Load Control” category and press [OK] to move to the detail screen.

3. Use the up/down buttons to change the setting.

Note: SLC can only be set if the outdoor unit’s M/S setting is set to “Master”. This function is only available on some products, and Step 4 may not be available on some indoor units.

To set the time displayed on the remote controller:

1. From the menu screen, navigate to “Setting” > “User” and press [OK].

2. In the user setting list, select the “Time” category and press [OK] to move to the detail screen.

3. Use the up/down/left/right buttons to set the current time (AM/PM, Hour, Minute).

4. After setting, press the [OK] button to save the setting and move to the previous screen.

You can set various timers to automate the operation of your LG AK-W300LCB0.

1. In the menu screen, use the left/right buttons [<,>] to select the “Timer” category and press [OK].

2. In the timer setting list, use the up/down buttons [∧,∨] to select the desired timer type (Simple Timer, Turn-On Reservation, Turn-Off Reservation) and press [OK].

• Simple Timer: This turns the unit on or off after a set period. You can set it from 1 to 7 hours in 1-hour increments. If the unit is on, the timer will turn it off. If the unit is off, the timer will turn it on.

• Turn-on Reservation: This automatically turns the product On at a specific time you set.

• Turn-off Reservation: This automatically turns the product Off at a specific time you set.

3. After setting the timer details (time, etc.), press the [OK] button to activate it.

You can create a detailed schedule for your air conditioner’s operation.

How to Add a Schedule:

1. In the menu screen, select the “Schedule” category and press [OK].

2. Select “Schedules & Edit” and press [OK].

3. Select “+ Add Schedule” to begin creating a new schedule event. You will go through 4 stages:

• Stage 1 (Period): Set the start and end date for the schedule to be active.

• Stage 2 (Day of week): Select the days the schedule will run (‘Everyday’, ‘Weekend’, ‘Weekdays’, or ‘Individual selection’).

• Stage 3 (Time): Set the start time for the timer.

• Stage 4 (Operation): Set the timer operation information (On/Off, mode, temperature, fan speed). If ‘Stop’ is selected, you cannot set the other parameters.

After completing Stage 4, the schedule is added, and you will return to the “Schedules & Edit” screen.

How to Check and Edit Schedules:

• From the “Schedule” menu, select “Daily Schedule” to see the status of timers for a specific day. Use the left/right buttons to change dates and up/down buttons to see different timer events on that day.

• From the “Schedule” menu, select “Schedules & Edit” to view a list of all saved schedules. Select a schedule and press [OK] to edit or delete it.

How to set an Exception Day:

An exception day is a date when the scheduled operation will be automatically stopped.

1. In the “Schedule” menu, select “Exception Day” and press [OK].

2. You can add, change, or delete dates. To add an exception day, select “+ Add exception day”, designate the year/month/day, and press [OK] to save.

Before performing any maintenance, turn off the main power to the system. Before removing access panels, disconnect the power supply.

This product has washable filters. It is very important to keep air filters clean. Inspect them at least once each month when the system is in constant operation (or weekly for the first 4 weeks in new buildings).

To clean washable filters:

1. Wash the filter with a mild detergent and water.

2. Ensure the filters are thoroughly dried before reinstalling them in the unit.

To clean the condenser coil:

Unfiltered air can clog the condenser coil. To clean it, vertically stroke the coil surface (along the fins) with a soft-bristled brush. Keep all vegetation away from the condenser coil area.

When the air conditioner is not going to be used for a long time:

1. Operate the air conditioner in Fan Only mode (air circulation) for 2 to 3 hours. This will dry out the internal parts.

2. Turn off the circuit breaker. Dirt may collect and cause a fire if left on.

When the air conditioner is to be used again:

1. Clean the air filter and re-install it on the indoor side.

2. Check that the air inlet and outlet of the indoor/outdoor unit are not blocked.
