Cleaning:

When cleaning your LG 55LM6400-UA, unplug the power cord and wipe gently with a soft cloth to prevent scratching. Do not spray water or other liquids directly on the TV as electric shock may occur. Do not clean with chemicals such as alcohol, thinners, or benzine.

Moving:

Make sure the product is turned off, unplugged, and all cables have been removed. It may take 2 or more people to carry larger TVs. Do not press or put stress on the front panel of the TV.

If a fixed image is displayed on the TV screen for a long period, it can become permanently imprinted, which is known as “image burn” or “burn-in” and is not covered by the warranty. To prevent this:

• Avoid displaying a fixed image on the TV screen for a long period of time (2 or more hours for LCD).

• If the aspect ratio of the TV is set to 4:3 for a long period, image burn may occur on the letterboxed area of the screen.

Viewing Environment and Time:

• When watching 3D content, take a 5-15 minute break every hour. Viewing for a long period may cause headache, dizziness, fatigue, or eye strain.

• Maintain a viewing distance of at least twice the screen diagonal length.

Viewing Age:

• Viewing 3D content for children under the age of 5 is prohibited.

• Children under 10 may overreact; special monitoring and extra attention is required.

• Teenagers under 19 may be stimulated by light from 3D videos; advise them not to watch for long periods when tired.

• The elderly may perceive less of a 3D effect. Do not sit closer than the recommended distance.

Health Considerations:

• Some users may experience a seizure or other abnormal symptoms when exposed to flashing lights or patterns from 3D content.

• Do not watch 3D videos if you feel nausea, are pregnant, or have a chronic illness such as epilepsy, cardiac disorder, or blood pressure disease.

• 3D content is not recommended for those with stereo blindness or stereo anomaly.

• If you have strabismus (cross-eyed), amblyopia (weak eyesight), or astigmatism, you may have trouble sensing depth and feel fatigue. Take frequent breaks.

• If your eyesight varies between your right and left eye, revise your eyesight prior to watching 3D content.

When to Stop Watching:

• Do not watch 3D content when you feel fatigued from lack of sleep, overwork, or drinking.

• If you experience symptoms like headache, eyeball pain, dizziness, nausea, palpitation, blurriness, discomfort, double image, or visual inconvenience, stop watching and rest until the symptom subsides. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist.

• Make sure to use LG 3D glasses. Otherwise, you may not be able to view 3D videos properly.

• Do not use 3D glasses instead of your normal glasses, sunglasses, or protective goggles.

• Using modified 3D glasses may cause eye strain or image distortion.

• Do not keep your 3D glasses in extremely high or low temperatures, as it will cause deformation.

• The 3D glasses are fragile and easy to scratch. Always use a soft, clean cloth when wiping the lenses. Do not scratch the lenses with sharp objects or clean/wipe them with chemicals.

1. Open the package and make sure all the accessories are included.

2. Attach the stand to the TV set.

3. Connect an external device to the TV set.

4. Make sure the network connection is available. You can use the TV network functions only when the network connection is made.

The buttons on your LG 55LM6400-UA have the following functions:

The TV also features an Intelligent sensor which adjusts the image quality and brightness based on the surrounding environment.

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the original box or packing material.

• Before moving or lifting, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• When transporting by hand, hold the TV by the top and bottom of the frame. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• Do not expose the TV to jolts or excessive vibration during transport.

• Keep the TV upright; never turn it on its side or tilt it.

To attach the stand, place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches. Align the Stand Body with the Stand Base and secure them. Then, attach the assembled stand to the TV using the provided screws (M4 x 20). Tighten the screws firmly to prevent the TV from tilting forward.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table. Leave a minimum of 10 cm (4 inches) of space from the wall for proper ventilation.

2. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

To adjust the view, you can swivel the TV 10±2 degrees to the left or right.

Securing the TV to a table (Depending on model):

To prevent the TV from tilting or falling, you can secure it to a table.

1. Connect the Desk-mount Cables to the Stand Base using the Bracket Screws.

2. Fix the Desk-mount Cables to the table using the Desk-mount Screws.

3. Once fixed, move the table close to the wall.

To wall mount your LG 55LM6400-UA, use screws and a wall mount bracket that meet the VESA standard. The standard dimensions are described in the table below.

It is recommended that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

1. Gather and bind the cables with the provided cable holder.

2. Fix the cable management clip firmly to the TV to keep cables tidy.

Caution: Do not move the TV by holding the cable holder, as it may break and cause injury or damage.

You can connect various external devices like HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, PCs, and gaming devices. Refer to the manual for each device for specific instructions.

• Antenna/Cable: Connect your antenna or cable line to the ANTENNA/CABLE input port using a coaxial (75Ω) cable.

• HDMI: This is the best way to connect a device. Use a High Speed HDMI cable to connect your device (DVD/Blu-Ray, HD Cable Box) to any of the HDMI IN ports. For audio devices supporting ARC (Audio Return Channel), connect to the HDMI IN 1 (ARC) port.

• DVI to HDMI: Connect the DVI OUT of your external device to the HDMI IN 4 (PC) port on the TV using a DVI-HDMI cable. Connect a separate audio cable from the device’s AUDIO OUT to the TV’s (RGB/HDMI-PC) AUDIO IN port.

• Component: Connect the component video (Y, PB, PR) and audio (L/R) outputs of your device to the corresponding COMPONENT IN and AV IN ports on the TV. Ensure each cable matches the color-coded connection.

• Composite: Connect the composite video (Yellow) and audio (White/Red) outputs of your device to the corresponding AV IN ports on the TV.

• PC: You can connect a PC via HDMI (recommended for best quality), DVI-to-HDMI, or RGB (VGA). For RGB, connect the PC’s RGB OUT to the TV’s RGB IN (PC) port, and the PC’s AUDIO OUT to the TV’s AUDIO IN (RGB/HDMI-PC) port.

• Digital Audio System: Connect the OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT port on the TV to the optical input on your audio system using an optical audio cable.

• USB: Connect a USB storage device (flash memory, external hard drive) to any of the USB IN ports. For storing apps, use the ‘USB Apps’ port. For a USB Hub, use the ‘USB Hub’ port.

Registering the Magic Remote:

To use the Magic Remote, you must first pair it with your TV. To register it, simply press the Wheel (OK) button on the remote control while pointing it at the TV.

Re-registering after Failure:

1. Press and hold the BACK and HOME buttons together for 5 seconds to reset the remote. The pointer light will blink when the reset is complete.

2. Register it again by pressing the Wheel (OK) button.

Using the Magic Remote Pointer:

• If the on-screen pointer disappears, move the remote slightly to the left or right, and it will reappear.

• You can move the pointer by aiming the remote at the TV and moving it left, right, up, or down.

• POWER: Turns the TV on or off.

• BACK: Returns to the previous level.

• HOME: Accesses the Home menu.

• Wheel (OK): Selects menus or options and confirms your input. Scrolls through saved channels.

• Navigation buttons (up/down/left/right): Scrolls through menus or options.

• + VOL -: Adjusts the volume level.

• ^ CH v: Scrolls through the saved channels.

• MUTE: Mutes all sounds.

• MY APPS: Shows the list of Apps.

• Q.MENU: Accesses the quick menu.

• 3D: Used for viewing 3D video.

• Pointer: A light blinks when operating the remote.

When you turn the TV on for the first time, the Initial Setting screen appears.

1. Connect the power cord to a power outlet.

2. In Standby mode, press the power button on the remote control to turn the TV on.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to customize your settings:

• Language Selection: Select a language to display.

• Using the Magic remote control: Sets up the Magic remote.

• Environment Selection: Select Home for the home environment. (Store mode is for retail demos).

• Time Zone Setting: Selects the time zone and daylight saving.

• Network Connection: Sets up your network to enable network-related features.

• Auto Tuning: Scans and saves available channels automatically.

• Auto Energy Saving mode Setting: Selects the Auto Energy Saving mode.

• 3D-On-Start Setting: Selects the 3D-On-Start option (For 3D TV).

• Setting is completed: Confirms the setting options.

4. When the basic settings are complete, press the Wheel (OK) button.

The User Guide allows you to access detailed TV information directly on the screen.

1. Press the HOME button on the remote to access the HOME menu.

2. Select User Guide and press the Wheel (OK) button.

Within the User Guide:

• You can see a description of the selected menu item. Use up/down navigation to move between pages.

• Select Try Now to move directly to the selected menu from the User Guide.

• Use the Zoom In / Zoom Out function to get a closer look.

• The interface shows the current channel, allows you to select a category, select an item, and browse the description.

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed (+ to +, – to -).

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Auto sleep feature is activated in the Time settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, the TV will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Clean your TV regularly to keep it in the best condition. First, make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables.

Screen, frame, cabinet and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

• CAUTION: Do not push, rub, or hit the surface with your fingernail or a sharp object. Do not use chemicals like waxes, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticides, air fresheners, or lubricants. Do not spray liquid directly onto the surface.

Power cord:

• Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.
