To set up your LG 55LM6200-UE for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Open the package and ensure all accessories are included.

Follow these steps to attach the stand:

2. Assemble the Stand Body and the Stand Base.

3. Use the provided screws (M4 x 20, 4 EA) to attach the assembled stand to the back of the TV.

4. Tighten the screws firmly to prevent the TV from tilting forward.

To prevent your LG 55LM6200-UE from being scratched or damaged and to ensure safe transportation, please follow these guidelines:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• For a large TV like the LG 55LM6200-UE, there should be at least two people to transport it.

• When transporting by hand, hold the TV by the top and bottom of the frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• Keep the TV upright during transport; never turn it on its side or tilt it towards the left or right.

• Do not expose the TV to jolts or excessive vibration during transport.

1. After attaching the stand, lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a minimum of 10 cm (4 inches) of space between the TV and the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

To adjust the angle, you can swivel the TV 10±2 degrees to the left or right. When adjusting the angle, watch out for your fingers to prevent them from being pinched.

To secure your TV, you can use optional eye-bolts, brackets, and a sturdy rope.

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount wall brackets (not included) with bolts to the wall. The location of the wall brackets should align with the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts on the TV and the wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure the rope is kept horizontal with the flat surface.

It is important to use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely. Ensure children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

To wall mount your LG 55LM6200-UE, you should use a wall mount bracket that meets the VESA standard. The specifications are as follows:

Note: Disconnect the power first before installing the TV. Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Do not over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

1. Gather and bind the cables together with the provided cable holder.

2. Fix the cable management clip firmly to the TV to keep the cables tidy.

Do not move the TV by holding the cable holder, as it may break and cause injury or damage to the TV.

To watch TV, connect an antenna, cable, or cable box to the ANTENNA/CABLE IN port on the back of your TV using a coaxial (75 Ω) RF cable. Make sure not to bend the copper wire of the RF cable. After all connections between devices are complete, connect the power cord to the power outlet.

The best way to connect an external device is with an HDMI cable. HDMI transmits digital video and audio signals from the device to the TV. Choose any available HDMI input port on the TV to make the connection. For optimal performance, use a High Speed HDMI™ Cable.

Your TV also supports ARC (Audio Return Channel) on the HDMI IN 1 (ARC) port. When connected with a high-speed HDMI cable to an ARC-compatible audio device, digital audio can be sent to the device without needing an additional optical audio cable.

To connect a device with a DVI output, you will need a DVI-to-HDMI cable for the video signal. Connect the DVI end to your external device and the HDMI end to an HDMI IN port on the TV. Since DVI does not carry audio, you will also need a separate audio cable. Connect the audio cable from your device’s audio out port to the (RGB/DVI-PC) AUDIO IN port on the TV.

Your TV uses shared ports for Component and Composite connections. Use the provided breakout cables.

For Component Connection:

1. Connect the green breakout cable to the green port labeled COMPONENT IN on the TV.

2. Connect the green (Y), blue (Pb), and red (Pr) video plugs from your device to the corresponding colored jacks on the breakout cable.

3. Connect the red and white audio plugs to the AUDIO (L/R) jacks on the same breakout cable.

For Composite Connection:

1. Connect the yellow breakout cable to the yellow port labeled AV IN on the TV.

2. Connect the yellow video plug from your device to the yellow jack on the breakout cable.

3. Connect the red and white audio plugs to the corresponding red and white audio jacks on the breakout cable.

Ensure each cable is matched with the corresponding color connection to avoid a black and white or distorted picture.

There are three methods to connect your PC to the LG 55LM6200-UE. Using an HDMI connection is recommended for the best image quality.

Method A: HDMI Connection
Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI output on your PC to any HDMI IN port on the TV.

Method B: DVI to HDMI Connection
Connect a DVI-to-HDMI cable from the DVI output on your PC to an HDMI IN port on the TV. For audio, connect a separate audio cable from your PC’s audio out to the (RGB/DVI-PC) AUDIO IN port on the TV.

Method C: RGB (VGA) Connection
Connect an RGB (VGA) cable from the RGB OUT (PC) port on your PC to the RGB IN (PC) port on the TV. For audio, connect a separate audio cable from your PC’s audio out to the (RGB/DVI-PC) AUDIO IN port on the TV.

You can connect an external audio system using a digital optical audio cable. This transmits a digital audio signal from the TV to your external device.

1. Connect one end of the optical audio cable to the OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT port on the back of the TV.

2. Connect the other end of the cable to the optical audio input port on your external audio system (e.g., soundbar, AV receiver).

3. In the TV’s sound settings menu, you may need to set the TV speaker feature to ‘Off’ to use the external audio system instead of the built-in speakers.

Caution: Do not look directly into the optical output port, as the laser beam may damage your vision.

You can connect a USB storage device like a flash memory drive, external hard drive, or USB memory card reader to any of the USB IN ports on the TV. Once connected, you can access the Smart Share menu to use various multimedia files.

Note on specific ports:

• To store apps on a USB storage device, connect it to the USB IN 3 USB Apps port.

• To use a USB Hub device, connect it to the USB IN 2 USB Hub port.

If a USB device connected via a USB Hub is not detected, connect it directly to a USB port on the TV.

When the message “Magic remote control battery is low. Change the battery.” is displayed, you need to replace the batteries.

1. Open the battery cover on the back of the remote.

2. Replace the old batteries with two new 1.5V AA batteries, matching the (+) and (-) ends to the label inside the compartment.

3. Close the battery cover.

To remove the batteries, perform the installation actions in reverse. Do not mix old and new batteries, as this may damage the remote control.

To register the Magic Remote Control:

Simply press the Wheel (OK) button on the remote control while pointing it at the TV. This will pair it with your TV.

To re-register the Magic Remote Control after a registration failure:

1. Press and hold the BACK and HOME buttons together for 5 seconds to reset the remote. The light on the Pointer will blink when the reset is complete.

2. After the reset, register it again by pressing the Wheel (OK) button.

Alternatively, to re-register, you can press and hold the BACK button for 5 seconds while pointing the remote toward the TV. The light on the Pointer will blink when the reset is complete, and you can then press the Wheel (OK) button to complete the registration.

1. The on-screen pointer moves when you aim the remote at the TV and move it left, right, up, or down.

2. If the pointer disappears after a period of inactivity, simply move the remote control slightly to the left or right, and it will automatically reappear on the screen.

3. If the pointer does not work properly, leave the remote control for 10 seconds and then try using it again.

4. If you press a navigation button (up/down/left/right) while the pointer is on the screen, the pointer will disappear, and the remote will function like a standard remote control. To display the pointer again, shake the Magic Remote from side to side.

When you turn the TV on for the first time, the Initial Setting screen will appear. Follow these on-screen instructions to customize your TV settings:

1. Language Selection: Select a language for the on-screen display.

2. Using the Magic remote control: Follow prompts to set up the Magic Remote.

3. Environment Selection: Select Home for the home environment. Selecting ‘Store’ mode will put the TV in a demo mode where customized settings reset after 5 minutes.

4. Time Zone Setting: Select your time zone and daylight saving options.

5. Network Connection: Set up your network to enable network-related features.

6. Auto Tuning: The TV will scan and save available channels automatically.

7. Auto Energy Saving mode Setting: Select an energy-saving mode.

8. 3D-On-Start Setting: Select the 3D-On-Start option (for 3D TV).

9. Setting is completed: Confirm the setting options.

Once the basic settings are complete, press the Wheel (OK) button to finish. If you do not complete the initial setup, it will appear every time the TV is turned on.

The User Guide allows you to access detailed information about your TV’s features.

1. Press the HOME button on your remote to access the HOME menu.

2. Select User Guide and press the Wheel (OK) button.

Once in the User Guide, you can:

• View Descriptions: The main window shows a description of the selected menu. Use the up/down arrows to move between pages.

• Go to Menu: Select ‘Try Now’ to move directly to the menu item you are reading about.

• Navigate Categories: Use the left panel to select different categories and items you want to learn about.

• Zoom: Use the zoom in/out function to get a closer look at the on-screen text or images.

If a fixed image is displayed on the screen for a long period, it can become imprinted and lead to a permanent disfigurement known as “image burn” or “burn-in”. This is not covered by the warranty. To prevent this:

• Avoid displaying a fixed image on the TV screen for a long period of time (2 or more hours for an LCD TV).

• If you set the aspect ratio of the TV to 4:3 for a long time, image burn may occur on the letterboxed areas of the screen.

Viewing Environment and Time:

• When watching 3D content, take a 5-15 minute break every hour. Watching for a long period may cause headache, dizziness, fatigue, or eye strain.

• Maintain a distance of at least twice the screen diagonal length.

Viewing Age:

• Infants/Children: Viewing 3D content for children under the age of 5 is prohibited. Children under 10 may overreact and require special monitoring.

• Teenagers: Teenagers under 19 may be stimulated by light from 3D videos. They should not watch 3D videos for a long time when tired.

• Elderly: The elderly may perceive less of a 3D effect. Do not sit closer than the recommended distance.

Chronic Illnesses:

• Some users may experience seizures or other abnormal symptoms. Do not watch 3D videos if you feel nausea, are pregnant, or have a chronic illness such as epilepsy, cardiac disorder, or blood pressure disease.

• 3D content is not recommended for those with stereo blindness or stereo anomaly. If you have strabismus (cross-eyed), amblyopia (weak eyesight), or astigmatism, you may feel fatigue easily.

When to Stop Watching:

• Stop watching 3D content if you experience symptoms like headache, eyeball pain, dizziness, nausea, palpitation, blurriness, or discomfort. Rest until the symptom subsides and consult a doctor if it persists.

• Make sure to use LG 3D glasses (Model AG-F3** or similar). You may not be able to view 3D videos properly with other glasses.

• Do not use 3D glasses in place of your normal glasses, sunglasses, or protective goggles.

• Do not keep your 3D glasses in extremely high or low temperatures, as this can cause deformation.

• The 3D glasses are fragile and can be easily scratched. Always use a soft, clean cloth to wipe the lenses. Do not scratch the lenses with sharp objects or clean them with chemicals.

To clean your TV regularly and keep it in the best condition, follow these steps:

1. Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.

For the screen, frame, cabinet, and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

Important Cautions:

• Do not push, rub, or hit the surface with your fingernail or a sharp object, as this may cause scratches and image distortions.

• Do not use any chemicals like waxes, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticides, air fresheners, or lubricants. These may damage the screen’s finish and cause discoloration.

• Do not spray liquid directly onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

For the power cord:

• Remove any accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

If you cannot control your LG 55LM6200-UE with the remote control, try the following solutions:

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and are properly installed (+ to +, – to -).

If you experience no image and no sound, please check the following:

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is securely connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem with the wall outlet by connecting other products to it.

If your TV turns off suddenly, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may have been interrupted.

• Check if the Auto sleep feature is activated in the Time settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, it will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity. This is a normal feature.

To play purchased DivX Video-on-Demand (VOD) movies, your LG 55LM6200-UE must be registered. To obtain your registration code, locate the DivX VOD section in your device’s setup menu. You will then need to visit the DivX website to complete your registration using this code.
