To attach the stand to your LG 55LB561V-ZE, please follow these steps. Note that the image shown in your manual may differ from your TV.

CAUTION: When attaching the stand, place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

For models LB55**, LB56**-ZE / ZC, LB62**-ZA / ZB:

1. Attach the ‘A Stand Base’ to the TV body.

2. Secure the stand with the provided screws (M4 x L14 for most models, M4 x L20 for 32-inch models).

For models LB56**-ZT / ZQ, LB62**-ZE:

1. Attach the ‘A Stand Base’ to the ‘B Stand Base’.

2. Attach the assembled stand to the TV body and secure it with the provided screws (M4 x L14 for most models, M4 x L20 for 32-inch models).

Connect the TV to a wall antenna socket using an RF cable (75 Ω) into the “ANTENNA / CABLE IN” port on the back of the TV.

Note:

• Use a signal splitter if you need to connect more than 2 TVs.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier properly to improve image quality.

• If the image quality is poor with a connected antenna, try realigning the antenna in the correct direction.

• An antenna cable and converter are not supplied.

• Supported DTV Audio formats are: MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, HE-AAC.

For satellite models only, connect the TV to a satellite dish to a satellite socket with a satellite RF cable (75 Ω). Plug the cable into the “LNB Satellite IN” port on the back of the TV.

You can transmit video and audio signals from an external device to the TV by connecting the device and the TV with a Euro Scart cable. Any Euro Scart cable used must be signal shielded.

The output type from the AV1 (TV Out) port depends on the current input mode:

Note: TV Out outputs Analogue TV or Digital TV signals.

You can connect various external devices such as HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, and gaming devices to your TV.

• The external device connection may differ from the model.

• Connect external devices to the TV regardless of the order of the TV port.

• If you record a TV programme on a DVD recorder or VCR, ensure the TV signal input cable is connected to the TV through the recorder.

• Refer to the external equipment’s manual for operating instructions.

• When connecting a gaming device, use the cable supplied with it.

• In PC mode, noise may be associated with the resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, change the PC output to another resolution, change the refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast on the PICTURE menu until the picture is clear.

• In PC mode, some resolution settings may not work properly depending on the graphics card.

The Joystick button is located below the TV screen. You can operate the TV functions by pressing or moving the joystick up, down, left, or right.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, place your finger on the joystick button, press it once, and release it.

• Power Off: When the TV is on, press and hold the joystick button for a few seconds and release it. (If the Menu is on-screen, this action will exit the menu.)

• Volume Control: Move the joystick left or right to adjust the volume.

• Programmes Control: Move the joystick up or down to scroll through the saved programmes.

Note: When moving the joystick, be careful not to press it first, as this will prevent you from adjusting the volume or programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once to bring up the menu. You can then adjust menu items by moving the joystick.

• TV off: Turns the power off.

• Settings: Accesses the main menu.

• Close: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Input List: Changes the input source.

Please follow this advice to prevent the TV from being scratched or damaged:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may cause damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in its original box or packing material.

• Before moving or lifting, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting a large TV, at least 2 people are required.

• Keep the TV upright during transport; never turn it on its side or tilt it.

• Do not expose the TV to jolts or excessive vibration.

• Do not apply excessive pressure to the frame chassis, as it may cause flexing and damage the screen.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

CAUTION: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

This feature is not available for all models. To secure the TV to a wall:

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

CAUTION: Make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

Note:

• Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely.

• Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided. You can obtain additional accessories from your local dealer.

LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer. Attach an optional wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor.

CAUTION:

• Disconnect the power first before moving or installing the TV.

• If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount.

• Do not over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Damages or injuries from misuse are not covered by the warranty.

Ensure you use screws and a wall mount bracket that meet the VESA standard. For the 55LB56** model, the standard is:

• VESA (A x B): 400 x 400

• Standard screw: M6

• Number of screws: 4

• Wall mount bracket: LSW440B, MSW240

Make sure to point the remote control toward the remote control sensor on the TV. Here are the functions of the main buttons:

To automatically tune the programmes, go to SETTINGS → SETUP → Auto Tuning. This will automatically tune the available programmes.

• If the Input Source is not connected properly, programme registration may not work.

• Auto Tuning only finds programmes that are currently broadcasting.

• If the Lock System is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for a password.

The Picture Wizard helps you calibrate and adjust for optimum picture quality. To use it, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Wizard III. This feature calibrates the picture using the remote control without needing expensive pattern devices.

Go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode to select a picture mode optimized for your viewing environment or the programme.

• Vivid: Heightens contrast, brightness, and sharpness for vivid images.

• Standard: Displays images in standard levels of contrast, brightness, and sharpness.

• Eco/APS: The Energy Saver feature changes settings to reduce power consumption.

• Cinema/Game: Displays the optimum picture for movies or games.

• Sports: Optimizes the image for high and dynamic actions by emphasizing primary colours like white, grass, or sky blue.

• Expert 1, 2: A menu for adjusting picture quality that allows experts to enjoy the best TV viewing. This is for ISF-certified professionals.

To reduce power consumption by adjusting screen brightness, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Energy Saving.

• Auto: The TV sensor detects ambient lighting and automatically adjusts screen brightness.

• Off: Turns off the Energy Saving mode.

• Minimum / Medium / Maximum: Applies a pre-set Energy Saving mode.

• Screen Off: The screen is turned off and only sound is played. Press any button (except Power) on the remote to turn the screen back on.

You can choose where the sound is output from.

• To use TV speaker: Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → TV Speaker. Sound is output through the TV speaker.

• To use External Speaker (Optical): Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → External Speaker (Optical). Sound is output through the speaker connected to the optical port. SimpLink is supported.

• To use Headphones: Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → Headphone. Sound is output through the headphone/earphone port.

SIMPLINK allows you to control and manage various multimedia devices with your TV remote via the SIMPLINK menu.

Setup:

1. Connect the TV’s HDMI IN terminal to the SIMPLINK device’s HDMI output terminal using a high-speed HDMI® cable (with CEC feature).

2. Select INPUT(OPTION) → SIMPLINK. The SIMPLINK menu window will appear.

3. In the SIMPLINK Setting window, set the SIMPLINK function to ON.

4. In the SIMPLINK menu window, select the device you want to control.

Function Description:

• Direct Play: Plays the multimedia device on the TV instantly.

• Select multimedia device: Selects the desired device via the SIMPLINK menu to control it.

• Disc playback: Manages the multimedia device with the TV remote.

• Power off all devices: When you power off the TV, all connected devices are turned off.

• Sync Power on: When the equipment with SIMPLINK starts to play, the TV will automatically turn on.

• Speaker: Select speaker either on the home theatre unit or the TV.

To set or change the TV password, go to SETTINGS → LOCK → Set Password. The initial password is set to ‘0000’.

To delete all stored information and reset TV settings, go to SETTINGS → OPTION → Factory Reset. The TV will turn itself off and back on, and all settings will be reset.

• If the Lock System is in place, a pop-up window will appear asking for the password.

• Do not turn off the power during initialization.

Go to Q.MENU → USB Device. Select the USB storage device that you want to remove. When you see a message that the USB device has been removed, you can safely separate the device from the TV. Once a USB device has been selected for removal, it can no longer be read until you unplug and re-connect it.

• If the USB device has a built-in auto recognition program or uses its own driver, it may not work.

• Some USB storage devices may not work or may work incorrectly.

• Use only USB storage devices formatted with the Windows FAT32 or NTFS File System.

• For external USB HDDs, it is recommended to use devices with a rated voltage of less than 5 V and a rated current of less than 500 mA.

• It is recommended to use USB memory sticks of 32 GB or less and USB HDDs of 1 TB or less.

• If a USB HDD with a power-saving function does not work properly, turn the power off and on.

• Data in the USB storage device can be damaged, so be sure to back up important files. Data maintenance is the user’s responsibility.

Clean your TV regularly to keep the best performance and extend its lifespan.

CAUTION:

• Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.

• When the TV is left unattended for a long time, disconnect the power cord to prevent damage from lightning or power surges.

Screen, frame, cabinet and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

• Avoid touching the screen at all times.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the screen surface with your fingernail or a sharp object.

• Do not use any chemicals as this may damage the product.

• Do not spray liquid onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power cord:

Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.
