If a fixed image is displayed on the screen for a long period, it can become imprinted and result in a permanent disfigurement known as “image burn” or “burn-in”. This is not covered by the warranty. To prevent this, follow these guidelines:

• Avoid displaying a fixed image on the TV screen for a long period of time (2 or more hours for LCD).

• If the aspect ratio of the TV is set to 4:3 for an extended period, image burn may occur on the letterboxed area of the screen.

Viewing Environment and Duration:

• Viewing Time: When watching 3D content, take a 5 to 15-minute break every hour. Watching for a long period may cause headaches, dizziness, fatigue, or eye strain.

• Viewing Distance: Maintain a distance of at least twice the screen diagonal length when watching 3D content. If you feel discomfort, move further away from the TV.

Age-Related Precautions:

• Infants/Children: Viewing 3D content for children under the age of 5 is prohibited. Children under 10 may overreact, and special monitoring is required.

• Teenagers: Teenagers under 19 may be sensitive to light from 3D videos. Advise them not to watch 3D videos for a long time when they are tired.

• Elderly: The elderly may perceive less of a 3D effect. Do not sit closer to the TV than the recommended distance.

Health Considerations:

• Some users may experience a seizure or other abnormal symptoms when exposed to flashing lights or patterns from 3D content.

When to Stop Watching:

• Discontinue watching 3D content if you feel fatigue from lack of sleep, overwork, or drinking.

• If you experience symptoms like headache, eyeball pain, dizziness, nausea, palpitation, blurriness, or discomfort, stop watching and rest until the symptoms subside. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist.

Using 3D Glasses:

• Make sure to use LG 3D glasses. Other glasses may not work properly.

• Do not use 3D glasses as normal glasses, sunglasses, or protective goggles.

• Do not keep your 3D glasses in extremely high or low temperatures, as it can cause deformation.

• 3D glasses are fragile. Use a soft, clean cloth when wiping the lenses. Do not scratch them with sharp objects or clean them with chemicals.

1. Open the package and ensure all accessories are included.

2. Attach the stand to the TV set.

3. Connect any external devices to the TV set.

4. Make sure a network connection is available if you wish to use network functions.

The buttons are located on the side of your TV. The Intelligent sensor adjusts image quality and brightness based on the surrounding environment.

To prevent scratches or damage, please follow these instructions when moving or lifting your LG 47LM6700-UA:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• Before moving, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting the TV, keep it upright. Never turn the TV on its side or tilt it towards the left or right.

• Do not expose the TV to jolts or excessive vibration.

1. Place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect it from scratches.

2. Attach the Stand Body to the TV set.

3. Attach the Stand Base to the Stand Body.

4. Use the provided screws (M4 x 20, 8 EA for some models) to secure the stand. Tighten the screws firmly to prevent the TV from tilting forward.

Mounting on a Table:

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (4 inches) minimum space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

You can swivel the TV 10±2 degrees to the left or right to adjust the angle. When adjusting, watch out for your fingers to prevent injury.

Securing the TV to a Table (Depending on model):

To prevent the TV from tilting or falling, you can secure it to a table.

1. Connect the Desk-mount Cables to the Stand Base using the Bracket Screws.

2. Fix the Desk-mount Cables to the table using the Desk-mount Screws.

3. Once fixed, move the table close to the wall.

For wall mounting, it is recommended to use a qualified professional installer. Use a wall mount bracket that meets the VESA standard.

Safety Precautions:

• Disconnect the power first before installing.

• Use an authorized LG wall mount. If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and cause severe injury.

• Do not over-tighten screws, as this may damage the TV and void your warranty.

Securing the TV to a Wall (Anti-tip):

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts on the back of the TV.

2. Mount the wall brackets with bolts to the wall, matching their location with the eye-bolts on the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope, keeping the rope horizontal.

Wall Mount Bracket Specifications for LG 47LM6700-UA:

1. Gather and bind the cables together with the provided cable holder.

2. Fix the cable management clip firmly to the TV to keep the cables tidy.

CAUTION: Do not move the TV by holding the cable holder or power cord holder, as they may break, which could lead to injury and damage to the TV.

Antenna or Cable: Connect an antenna or cable to the ANTENNA/CABLE input port using a coaxial (75Ω) cable to watch TV.

HD Receiver, DVD, or Blu-Ray Player:

• HDMI: This is the best connection method. Use a High Speed HDMI™ Cable to connect your device to any of the HDMI IN ports. The HDMI IN 1 (ARC) port supports Audio Return Channel, which can send digital audio to a compatible device without a separate optical cable.

• Component: Connect the device using a component cable, matching the green, blue, and red video plugs and the red and white audio plugs to the corresponding ports on the TV.

• Composite (AV): Connect the device using a composite cable, matching the yellow video plug and the red and white audio plugs to the corresponding ports.

PC Connection:

• HDMI: This is the recommended method for the best image quality. Connect your PC’s HDMI out to any HDMI IN port on the TV.

• DVI to HDMI: Use a DVI-to-HDMI cable to connect your PC’s DVI out to an HDMI IN port. Connect a separate audio cable from the PC’s audio out to the (RGB/HDMI-PC) AUDIO IN port.

External Audio System:

• Digital Optical Audio: Connect your audio system using an optical audio cable from the OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT port on the TV to the optical audio in on your device. After connecting, set the TV speaker feature to off.

USB Device:

• Connect a USB flash memory, external hard drive, or USB memory card reader to any of the USB IN ports to access multimedia files. Port 3 is for USB Apps, and Port 2 is for a USB Hub.

The Magic Remote Control operates by pairing with your TV and uses a pointer on the screen.

Button Functions:

• POWER: Turns the TV on or off.

• BACK: Returns to the previous level.

• HOME: Accesses the Home menu.

• Wheel (OK): Selects menus or options and confirms input. Scrolls through saved channels. Pressing it brings up information about the current program.

• Navigation buttons (up/down/left/right): Scrolls through menus or options.

• VOL + / -: Adjusts the volume level.

• CH ^ / v: Scrolls through the saved channels.

• (MUTE): Mutes all sounds.

• 3D: Used for viewing 3D video.

• MY APPS: Shows the list of Apps.

• Q.MENU: Accesses the quick menu.

Using the Pointer:

• A pointer (RF & Bluetooth transmitter) appears on the screen, which you can move by aiming the remote at the TV.

• If the pointer disappears, shake the Magic remote from side to side to make it reappear.

• If you press a navigation button while moving the pointer, the pointer disappears, and the remote works like a regular remote.

Initial Registration:

To register the remote control for the first time, simply press the Wheel (OK) button on the remote control while pointing it at the TV.

Re-registration after Failure:

1. Press and hold the BACK and HOME buttons together for 5 seconds to reset the remote. The light on the Pointer will blink when the reset is complete.

2. After resetting, register it again by pressing the Wheel (OK) button.

Alternatively, to re-register, you can press and hold the BACK button for 5 seconds toward the TV. The light on the Pointer will blink when the reset is complete.

1. Connect the power cord to a power outlet.

2. In Standby mode, press the power button on the remote control to turn the TV on. The Initial Setting screen will appear.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to customize your TV settings:

• Language Selection: Select a display language.

• Using the Magic remote control: Sets up the Magic remote.

• Environment Selection: Select Home for the home environment. (The Store option puts the TV in demo mode).

• Time Zone Setting: Select your time zone.

• Network Connection: Set up your network to enable network-related features.

• Auto Tuning: Scans and saves available channels automatically.

• Auto Energy Saving mode Setting: Selects the energy-saving mode.

• 3D-On-Start Setting: Selects the 3D-On-Start option.

• Setting is completed: Confirms the setting options.

4. When the basic settings are complete, press the Wheel (OK) button.

5. To turn the TV off, press the power button on the remote control.

The User Guide allows you to access detailed TV information directly on the screen.

1. Press the HOME button on the remote to access the HOME menu.

2. Select User Guide and press the Wheel (OK) button.

Once in the User Guide, you can:

• View descriptions of selected menus.

• Move directly to a selected menu from the User Guide.

• Zoom in or out of the screen for better readability.

Cannot control the TV with the remote control:

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed (+ to +, – to -).

No image display and no sound is produced:

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.

The TV turns off suddenly:

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Auto sleep feature is activated in the Time settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, the TV will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Clean your TV regularly to keep it in the best condition and extend its lifespan.

General Cleaning:

1. Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.

2. To remove dust or light dirt from the screen, frame, cabinet, and stand, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

3. To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

Important Cautions:

• Do not push, rub, or hit the surface with your fingernail or a sharp object, as this may result in scratches and image distortions.

• Do not use any chemicals such as waxes, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticides, air fresheners, or lubricants. These may damage the screen’s finish and cause discoloration.

• Do not spray liquid directly onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power Cord:

• Remove any accumulated dust or dirt from the power cord regularly.

Your LG 47LM6700-UA can automatically switch to 3D mode for certain inputs and formats. If it does not switch automatically, you may need to manually convert the settings.

3D Supported Mode (Automatically)

As you enjoy your new product, please keep these safety tips in mind to prevent injury:

Placement and Support:

• Flat panel displays are not always supported on the proper stands or installed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Displays inappropriately situated on dressers, bookcases, shelves, desks, speakers, or carts may fall over and cause injury.

• Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for the safe installation and use of your flat panel display.

• Do not place flat panel displays on furniture that can easily be used as steps, such as a chest of drawers.

Interaction with Children:

• Do not allow children to climb on or play with furniture and television sets.

• Remember that children can become excited while watching a program. Care should be taken to place or install the display where it cannot be pushed, pulled over, or knocked down.

• Route all cords and cables connected to the display so that they cannot be pulled or grabbed by curious children.

Wall Mounting:

• If you decide to wall mount your flat panel display, always use a mount that has been recommended by the display manufacturer and/or listed by an independent laboratory (such as UL, CSA, ETL).

• Follow all instructions supplied by the display and wall mount manufacturers.

• If you have any doubts about your ability to safely install the display, contact your retailer about professional installation.

• Ensure the wall where you are mounting is appropriate. Some mounts are not designed for walls with steel studs or old cinder block construction. If unsure, contact a professional installer.

• A minimum of two people are required for installation as flat panel displays can be heavy.
