Viewing Environment:

• Viewing Time: When watching 3D content, take a 5-15 minute break every hour. Prolonged viewing may cause headaches, dizziness, fatigue, or eye strain.

• Viewing Distance: Maintain a distance of at least twice the screen diagonal length when watching 3D content. If you feel discomfort, move further away from the TV.

Viewing Age:

• Infants/Children: Viewing 3D content for children under the age of 5 is prohibited. Children under 10 may overreact and require special monitoring. Children perceive more stereoscopic depth than adults.

• Teenagers: Teenagers under 19 may be stimulated by light from 3D videos. Advise them not to watch 3D videos for a long time when they are tired.

• Elderly: The elderly may perceive less of a 3D effect. Do not sit closer to the TV than the recommended distance.

Health Considerations:

• Some users may experience a seizure or other abnormal symptoms when exposed to a flashing light or particular pattern from 3D content.

• Do not watch 3D videos if you feel nausea, are pregnant, or have a chronic illness such as epilepsy, cardiac disorder, or blood pressure disease.

• 3D content is not recommended for those with stereo blindness or stereo anomaly.

• If you have strabismus (cross-eyed), amblyopia (weak eyesight), or astigmatism, you may feel fatigue easily. Take frequent breaks.

• If your eyesight varies between your right and left eye, revise your eyesight prior to watching 3D content.

When to Stop Watching:

• Do not watch 3D content when you feel fatigued from lack of sleep, overwork, or drinking.

• If you experience symptoms like headache, eyeball pain, dizziness, nausea, palpitation, blurriness, discomfort, double image, or visual inconvenience, stop watching and rest until the symptoms subside. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist.

• Make sure to use LG 3D glasses. Otherwise, you may not be able to view 3D videos properly.

• Do not use 3D glasses instead of your normal glasses, sunglasses, or protective goggles.

• Using modified 3D glasses may cause eye strain or image distortion.

• Do not keep your 3D glasses in extremely high or low temperatures, as it will cause deformation.

• The 3D glasses are fragile and easy to scratch. Always use a soft, clean piece of cloth when wiping the lenses. Do not scratch the lenses with sharp objects or clean them with chemicals.

1. Open the package and make sure all the accessories are included.

2. Attach the stand to the TV set.

3. Connect an external device to the TV set.

4. Make sure the network connection is available. You can use the TV network functions only when the network connection is made.

To prevent the TV from being scratched or damaged and to ensure safe transportation, please follow these instructions:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• When transporting by hand, hold the TV by firmly holding the top and bottom of the TV frame. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• Keep the TV upright during transport; never turn the TV on its side or tilt it left or right.

To attach the stand, follow these steps:

1. Place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

2. Align the Stand Body with the Stand Base and secure them together.

3. Attach the assembled stand to the TV set using the provided screws (M4 x 20).

4. Tighten the screws firmly to prevent the TV from tilting forward.

Mounting on a table:

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (4 inches) minimum space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

Adjusting the angle:

You can swivel the TV 10±2 degrees to the left or right to adjust the angle to suit your view. Be careful to watch for your fingers to avoid personal injury when adjusting the angle.

For wall mounting, use a wall mount bracket that meets the VESA standard. It is recommended that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

CAUTION:

• Disconnect the power first before moving or installing the TV.

• Use an authorized LG wall mount and contact a qualified professional for installation.

• Do not over-tighten the screws as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard.

1. Gather and bind the cables with the provided cable holder.

2. Fix the cable management clip firmly to the TV to keep cables tidy.

CAUTION: Do not move the TV by holding the cable holder, as it may break and cause injury or damage to the TV.

You can connect various external devices to your TV. Here are the common connection methods:

• HDMI Connection: This is the best way to connect a device as it transmits digital video and audio signals. Use a High Speed HDMI cable. The HDMI IN 1 (ARC) port supports Audio Return Channel, which can send digital audio to a compatible device without an extra optical cable.

• DVI to HDMI Connection: To connect a device with a DVI output to an HDMI input on the TV, use a DVI-HDMI cable for video. For audio, you will need to connect a separate audio cable from the device’s audio out to the TV’s (RGB/HDMI-PC) AUDIO IN port.

• Component Connection: This transmits analog video and audio signals. Connect the device using a component cable, matching the green, blue, red (video) and red, white (audio) plugs to the corresponding ports on the TV and the device.

• Composite Connection: This transmits analog video and audio. Connect the device using a composite cable, matching the yellow (video) and red, white (audio) plugs to the corresponding ports.

• Connecting a PC: For the best image quality, an HDMI connection is recommended. You can also use a DVI-to-HDMI cable with a separate audio cable, or an RGB (VGA) cable with a separate audio cable.

• USB Connection: Connect a USB storage device (flash memory, external hard drive) to any of the USB IN ports to access multimedia files.

The Magic Remote Control operates by pairing with your TV and using a pointer.

Registering the Remote:

• To register for the first time, press the Wheel (OK) button on the remote control while pointing it at the TV.

• To re-register after a failure: Press and hold the BACK and HOME buttons together for 5 seconds to reset the remote. Then, register it again by pressing the Wheel (OK) button.

Key Functions:

• Pointer: Move the remote to control the on-screen pointer. If the pointer disappears, shake the remote slightly from side to side to make it reappear.

• Wheel (OK): Press to select menus or options. Scroll the wheel to move through saved channels.

When you turn the TV on for the first time, the Initial Setting screen appears.

1. Connect the power cord to a power outlet.

2. In Standby mode, press the power button on the remote control to turn the TV on.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to customize your TV settings:

• Language Selection: Select a language to display.

• Using the Magic remote control: Sets the Magic remote control.

• Environment Selection: Select ‘Home’ for the home environment. ‘Store’ mode is for retail display and will reset customized settings after 5 minutes.

• Time Zone Setting: Select your time zone.

• Network Connection: Set up your network to enable network-related features.

• Auto Tuning: Scans and saves available channels automatically.

• Auto Energy Saving mode Setting: Selects the Auto Energy Saving mode.

• 3D-On-Start Setting: Selects the 3D-On-Start option.

• Setting is completed: Confirms the setting options.

4. When the basic settings are complete, press the Wheel (OK) button.

The User Guide provides detailed TV information and can be accessed directly on your screen.

1. Press the HOME button on the remote to access the HOME menu.

2. Select User Guide and press the Wheel (OK) button.

Within the User Guide, you can:

• View the description of a selected menu. Use the up/down navigation buttons to move between pages.

• Select ‘Try Now’ to move directly to the menu screen being described.

• Use the Zoom In/Zoom Out function for easier reading.

• Select categories and items to find the information you need.

If you cannot control your LG 47LM6400-UA with the remote, try the following solutions:

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed (⊕ to ⊕, ⊖ to ⊖).

If there is no image or sound, please check the following:

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

If your TV turns off by itself, consider these possibilities:

• Do not push, rub, or hit the surface with your fingernail or a sharp object, as this may cause scratches and image distortions.

• Do not use any chemicals such as waxes, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticides, air fresheners, or lubricants, as these may damage the screen’s finish and cause discoloration.

• Do not spray liquid directly onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power cord:

• Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.
