To attach the stand to your LG 42LB620V-ZA, place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches. The assembly process varies slightly depending on your specific model series.

For LB55**, LB56**-ZE / ZC, LB62**-ZA / ZB models:

1. Attach the Stand Base (Part A) to the Stand Base (Part B).

2. Secure the stand to the TV using the provided screws. Depending on the size of your TV, use the appropriate screws:

– For 32LB55**, 32LB56**-ZE / ZC, 32LB62**-ZA / ZB models: Use 4 screws of size M4 x L20.

– For other models in this series: Use 4 screws of size M4 x L14.

For LB56**-ZT / ZQ, LB62**-ZE models:

1. Attach the Stand Base (Part A) to the Stand Base (Part B).

2. Secure the stand to the TV using the provided screws. Depending on the size of your TV, use the appropriate screws:

– For 32LB56**-ZT / ZQ, 32LB62**-ZE models: Use 4 screws of size M4 x L20.

– For other models in this series: Use 4 screws of size M4 x L14.

To connect your LG 42LB620V-ZA to a wall antenna socket, use an RF cable (75 Ω).

Please note the following:

– Use a signal splitter if you need to connect more than 2 TVs.

– If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier correctly to improve it.

– If the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, try to realign the antenna in the correct direction.

– An antenna cable and converter are not supplied with the TV.

– Supported DTV Audio formats are MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and HE-AAC.

For satellite models, connect your LG 42LB620V-ZA TV to a satellite dish to a satellite socket using a satellite RF cable (75 Ω). The port is labeled “LNB Satellite IN”.

The Euro Scart connection transmits video and audio signals from an external device to your LG 42LB620V-ZA. Connect the external device and the TV with a Euro Scart cable. Ensure any Euro Scart cable used is signal shielded.

The TV output (TV Out) through the AV1 port depends on the current input mode. The output type is as follows:

Note: TV Out outputs either Analogue TV or Digital TV signals. For 3D models, when watching digital TV in 3D imaging mode, only 2D out signals can be output through the SCART cable.

When connecting various external devices like HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, and gaming devices to your LG 42LB620V-ZA, keep the following points in mind:

• The external device connection may differ from the model.

• Connect external devices to the TV regardless of the order of the TV port.

• If you record a TV programme on a DVD recorder or VCR, make sure to connect the TV signal input cable to the TV through the recorder or VCR.

• Refer to the external equipment’s manual for operating instructions.

• If you connect a gaming device, use the cable supplied with the gaming device.

• In PC mode, there may be noise associated with the resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, change the PC output to another resolution, change the refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast on the PICTURE menu until the picture is clear.

• In PC mode, some resolution settings may not work properly depending on the graphics card.

You can operate the TV functions by pressing or moving the joystick button located below the TV screen.

Basic Functions:

Note: When moving the joystick up, down, left, or right, be careful not to press it. If you press the joystick button first, you cannot adjust the volume or saved programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once. You can adjust menu items by moving the joystick up, down, left, or right.

To prevent your LG 42LB620V-ZA from being scratched or damaged and to ensure safe transportation, please follow this advice:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material that it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• When transporting the TV, do not expose it to jolts or excessive vibration.

• Keep the TV upright; never turn it on its side or tilt it.

• Do not apply excessive pressure, which could cause flexing or bending of the frame chassis, as it may damage the screen.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

Caution: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

This feature is not available for all models. To secure your LG 42LB620V-ZA to a wall:

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with the bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

Caution: Make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

Note:

• Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely.

• Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided. You can obtain additional accessories from your local dealer.

LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer. Attach an optional wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV carefully and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor.

Make sure to use screws and a wall mount bracket that meet the VESA standard. Standard dimensions for the wall mount kits are as follows:

Caution:

• Disconnect the power first, and then move or install the TV. Otherwise, electric shock may occur.

• If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount.

• Do not over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Any damages or injuries by misuse are not covered by the warranty.

Note: For 42LB55**, 42LB56**, 42LB62** models, you may need to use the Wall Mount Spacers provided.

The descriptions for the remote control buttons on your LG 42LB620V-ZA (LB62** model) are as follows:

To automatically tune the programmes on your LG 42LB620V-ZA, navigate to SETTINGS > SETUP > Auto Tuning. This function automatically tunes the programmes.

• If the Input Source is not connected properly, programme registration may not work.

• Auto Tuning only finds programmes that are currently broadcasting.

• If the Lock System is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for a password.

To calibrate and adjust for optimum picture quality, go to SETTINGS > PICTURE > Picture Wizard III. This feature allows you to adjust the picture quality using the remote control without needing expensive pattern devices or professional help.

To select a picture mode optimized for your viewing environment, go to SETTINGS > PICTURE > Picture Mode. The available modes are:

• Vivid: Heightens contrast, brightness, and sharpness to display vivid images.

• Standard: Displays images in standard levels of contrast, brightness, and sharpness.

• Eco/APS: The Energy Saver feature changes settings on the TV to reduce power consumption.

• Cinema/Game: Displays the optimum picture for movies or games.

• Sports: Optimizes the video image for high and dynamic actions by emphasizing primary colours such as white, grass, or sky blue.

• Expert 1, 2: A menu for adjusting picture quality that allows experts to enjoy the best TV viewing. This is an adjustment menu for ISF-certified professionals.

To correct images for smoother motion sequences, go to SETTINGS > PICTURE > TruMotion. The options are:

• Smooth: De-judder/De-blur working on a higher range in auto mode.

• Clear: De-judder/De-blur working on a middle range in auto mode.

• User: De-judder / De-blur can be set manually.

– De-judder: This function adjusts juddering of the screen.

– De-blur: This function adjusts and eliminates blurring of the screen.

Auto means the juddering and blurring range, which depends on the input video status, is controlled by TruMotion mode.

To reduce power consumption by adjusting screen brightness, navigate to SETTINGS > PICTURE > Energy Saving. The options available are:

• Auto: The TV sensor detects the ambient lighting and automatically adjusts the screen brightness.

• Off: Turns off the Energy Saving mode.

• Minimum / Medium / Maximum: Applies the pre-set Energy Saving mode.

• Screen Off: The screen is turned off and only sound is played. Press any button except the Power button on the remote control to turn the screen back on.

To select your desired audio output, go to SETTINGS > AUDIO > Sound Out. You have the following options:

• TV Speaker: Sound is output through the TV speaker.

• External Speaker (Optical): Sound is output through the speaker connected to the optical port. SimpLink is supported.

• LG Sound Sync (Optical): Connect an LG audio device to the optical digital audio output port for rich, powerful sound.

• Headphone: Sound is output through the headphone connected to the earphone/headphone port.

Additionally, you can adjust the Digital Sound Out settings when using an external optical speaker.

SIMPLINK allows you to control and manage various multimedia devices with your TV remote via the SIMPLINK menu.

Setup:

1. Connect the TV’s HDMI IN terminal to the SIMPLINK device’s HDMI output terminal using a high-speed HDMI® cable (with CEC feature).

2. Select INPUT(OPTION) > SIMPLINK. The SIMPLINK menu window will appear.

3. In the SIMPLINK Setting window, set the SIMPLINK function to ON.

4. In the SIMPLINK menu window, select the device you want to control.

SIMPLINK Functions:

• Direct Play: Plays the multimedia device on the TV instantly.

• Select multimedia device: Selects the desired device via the SIMPLINK menu for instant control.

• Disc playback: Manages the multimedia device with the TV remote control.

• Power off all devices: When you power off the TV, all connected devices are turned off.

• Sync Power on: When the equipment with SIMPLINK function starts to play, the TV will automatically turn on.

• Speaker: Select the speaker on either the home theatre unit or the TV.

To set or change the TV password, go to SETTINGS > LOCK > Set Password. The initial password is set to ‘0000’.

To reset all TV settings and delete stored information, go to SETTINGS > OPTION > Factory Reset. The TV will turn itself off and back on, and all settings will be reset.

• If the Lock System is in place, a pop-up window will appear and ask for the password.

• Do not turn off the power during initialization.

Viewing Environment and Time:

• When watching 3D content, take a 5-15 minute break every hour. Viewing 3D content for a long period may cause headache, dizziness, fatigue, or eye strain.

• Maintain a distance of at least twice the screen diagonal length. If you feel discomfort, move further away from the TV.

Photosensitive Seizure or Chronic Illness:

• Some users may experience seizures or other abnormal symptoms when exposed to flashing lights or patterns from 3D content.

• Do not watch 3D videos if you feel nausea, are pregnant, or have a chronic illness such as epilepsy, cardiac disorder, or blood pressure disease.

• 3D content is not recommended for those who suffer from stereo blindness or stereo anomaly.

• If you have strabismus (cross-eyed), amblyopia (weak eyesight), or astigmatism, you may have trouble sensing depth and feel fatigue easily. Take more frequent breaks.

• If your eyesight varies between your right and left eye, revise your eyesight before watching 3D content.

Viewing Age:

• Usage/Viewing of 3D content for children under the age of 6 is prohibited.

• Children under 10 may overreact; special monitoring and extra attention are required.

• Teenagers under 19 may react with sensitivity. Advise them to refrain from watching 3D content for a long time when tired.

• The elderly may perceive less 3D effect. Do not sit closer than the recommended distance.

• Make sure to use LG 3D glasses. Otherwise, you may not be able to view 3D videos properly.

• Do not use 3D glasses instead of your normal glasses, sunglasses, or protective goggles.

• Using modified 3D glasses may cause eye strain or image distortion.

• Do not keep your 3D glasses in extremely high or low temperatures, as it will cause deformation.

• The 3D glasses are fragile and easily scratched. Always use a soft, clean cloth when wiping the lenses. Do not scratch the lenses with sharp objects or clean/wipe them with chemicals.

To keep your TV in the best condition, clean it regularly. First, make sure to turn the power off and disconnect all cables.

Screen, frame, cabinet, and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

Caution:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the screen surface with your fingernail or a sharp object.

• Do not use any chemicals as this may damage the product.

• Do not spray liquid onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power cord:

Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed (positive to positive, negative to negative).

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Automatic Standby / Sleep Timer / Off Time feature is activated in the TIME settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, it will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.

• Turn the TV off/on using the remote control.

• Reconnect the HDMI cable.

• Restart the PC with the TV on.
