To attach the stand to your LG 42LB561U-ZE, place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches. The stand assembly may vary depending on your specific model series.

For LB55**, LB56**-ZE / ZC, LB62**-ZA / ZB models:

1. Attach the component labeled ‘A Stand Base’ to the TV.

2. Attach the component labeled ‘B Stand Base’ to the ‘A Stand Base’.

3. Secure the stand using the provided screws. Use M4 x L14 screws. For 32-inch models, use M4 x L20 screws.

For LB56**-ZT / ZQ, LB62**-ZE models:

1. Attach the ‘A Stand Base’ component to the TV.

2. Attach the ‘B Stand Base’ to the ‘A Stand Base’.

3. Secure the stand assembly using the provided screws. Use M4 x L14 screws. For 32-inch models, use M4 x L20 screws.

Connect your LG 42LB561U-ZE TV to a wall antenna socket using an RF cable (75 Ω).

Important Notes:

• Use a signal splitter if you need to connect more than 2 TVs.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier correctly to improve it.

• If the image quality is poor with a connected antenna, try to realign the antenna in the correct direction.

• An antenna cable and converter are not supplied with the TV.

• Supported DTV Audio formats are MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and HE-AAC.

To connect a satellite dish to your LG 42LB561U-ZE (on satellite models only), connect the TV to a satellite dish and a satellite socket with a satellite RF cable (75 Ω).

The Euro Scart connection transmits video and audio signals from an external device to your LG 42LB561U-ZE. Connect the external device and the TV with a Euro Scart cable. Ensure that any Euro Scart cable used is signal shielded.

Note: TV Out outputs Analogue TV or Digital TV signals. For 3D models, when watching digital TV in 3D mode, only 2D out signals can be output through the SCART cable.

When connecting external devices like HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, and gaming devices to your LG 42LB561U-ZE:

• The external device connection may differ from the model.

• Connect external devices to the TV regardless of the order of the TV port.

• If you record a TV programme on a DVD recorder or VCR, ensure the TV signal input cable is connected to the TV through the recorder or VCR.

• Refer to the external equipment’s manual for operating instructions.

• If you connect a gaming device, use the cable supplied with it.

• In PC mode, noise may be associated with the resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, change the PC output to another resolution, change the refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast in the PICTURE menu until the picture is clear.

• In PC mode, some resolution settings may not work properly depending on the graphics card.

To prevent your LG 42LB561U-ZE from being scratched or damaged and to ensure safe transportation, please follow this advice:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in its original box or packing material.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• When transporting the TV, do not expose it to jolts or excessive vibration.

• Keep the TV upright; never turn it on its side or tilt it left or right.

• Do not apply excessive pressure that could cause flexing or bending of the frame chassis, as it may damage the screen.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

CAUTION: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

To secure your TV to a wall (this feature is not available for all models):

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with the bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Ensure the rope is kept horizontal with the flat surface.

CAUTION: Make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

NOTE:

• Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely.

• Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided. You can obtain additional accessories from your local dealer.

To wall mount your LG 42LB561U-ZE, use a wall mount bracket that meets the VESA standard. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

CAUTION:

• Disconnect the power first, and then move or install the TV. Otherwise, an electric shock may occur.

• If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount and contact your local dealer or qualified personnel.

• Do not over-tighten the screws as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Any damages or injuries from misuse or an improper accessory are not covered by the warranty.

Note: For 42LB55**, 42LB56**, and 42LB62** models, use the provided Wall Mount Spacers.

The Joystick button, located below the TV screen, allows you to operate basic TV functions by pressing or moving it up, down, left, or right.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, place your finger on the joystick button, press it once, and release it.

• Power Off: When the TV is on, press and hold the joystick button for a few seconds and release. (If the Menu is on the screen, this action will exit the menu instead).

• Volume Control: Move the joystick button left or right to adjust the volume level.

• Programmes Control: Move the joystick button up or down to scroll through the saved programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once to bring up the menu. You can then adjust menu items by moving the joystick up, down, left, or right.

• Turns the power off.

• Settings: Accesses the main menu.

• Close: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Input List: Changes the input source.

The remote control for your LG 42LB561U-ZE (LB56** series) has the following functions:

• POWER: Turns the TV on or off.

• TV/RAD: Selects Radio, TV, and DTV programme.

You can access various settings on your LG 42LB561U-ZE to customize your viewing experience:

• Automatically Setting Up Programme: Go to SETTINGS → SETUP → Auto Tuning to automatically tune the programmes.

• To adjust picture with Picture Wizard: Go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Wizard III to calibrate and adjust for optimum picture quality.

• To select Picture Mode: Go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode. Options include Vivid, Standard, Eco/APS, Cinema/Game, Sports, and Expert 1/2 for professional tuning.

• To use TruMotion: Go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → TruMotion to display smoother motion sequences with options like Smooth, Clear, or User-defined settings.

• To use Energy Saving feature: Go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Energy Saving to reduce power consumption by adjusting screen brightness. Options include Auto, Off, Minimum/Medium/Maximum, and Screen Off.

• To select speaker output: Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out to choose between TV Speaker, External Speaker (Optical), or Headphone.

• To synchronize audio and video: Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → AV Sync. Adjust to correct mismatches between video and audio.

• To set password: Go to SETTINGS → LOCK → Set Password. The initial password is ‘0000’.

• To return to Factory Reset: Go to SETTINGS → OPTION → Factory Reset to delete all stored information and reset TV settings.

To remove a USB device safely:

Go to Q.MENU → USB Device and select the USB storage device you want to remove. When you see a message that the USB device has been removed, you can safely separate it from the TV.

Warnings for using a USB storage device:

• If the USB storage device has a built-in auto recognition program or uses its own driver, it may not work.

• Use only USB storage devices formatted with the Windows FAT32 or NTFS File System.

• For external USB HDDs, it is recommended to use devices with a rated voltage of less than 5 V and a rated current of less than 500 mA.

• It is recommended to use USB memory sticks of 32 GB or less and USB HDDs of 1 TB or less.

• If a USB HDD with a power-saving function does not work properly, turn the power off and on.

• Data in the USB storage device can be damaged, so be sure to back up important files to other devices. Data maintenance is the user’s responsibility.

Power cord:

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed (positive to positive, negative to negative).

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Automatic Standby, Sleep Timer, or Off Time feature is activated in the TIME settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, it will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.
