Before using the range for the first time, you must burn off the protective coating on the heating elements and burners. Follow these steps:

Step 1. For the oven heating elements: Set the temperature to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn the function selector to the Bake element and the Broil element separately for approximately 15 minutes each. Ensure there is adequate ventilation during this process.

Step 2. For the burners: Set the burner selector to the maximum setting for 5 minutes. Ensure adequate ventilation. Switch off the burners and allow them to cool down completely.

Note: There may be some odor during the first few uses, but this will disappear after using the unit several times.

The LANBO LB-ERT36RC-S features five ceramic surface elements with the following specifications:

To prevent the range from tipping over, the anti-tip bracket must be installed properly. It can be fixed at either the left or right side of the appliance.

Step 1. Place the anti-tip bracket on the floor where the range is going to be installed.

Step 2. Locate and mark the drill position through the 6 holes in the bracket, then place the bracket aside.

Step 3. Use a 5/16 inch masonry drill to drill two holes in a suitable depth.

Step 4. Insert 6 plastic anchors into the 6 holes and place the bracket back.

Step 5. Fix the bracket on the floor by using the screws supplied.

Step 6. Slide the appliance into position.

The surface control knobs have a variable power output from LO to HI. To operate them:

Step 1. Lightly press the control knob inwards.

Step 2. Rotate the knob to the desired position. The range of heat is increased by turning the knob to HI and decreased by turning it to LO.

Step 3. When an element is ignited, the indicator light will be lit regardless of the setting.

Step 4. After cooking, always ensure that all control knobs are turned to the OFF position and the indicator lights are off.

To ensure efficiency and safety when using the LANBO LB-ERT36RC-S, follow these cookware tips:

Use cookware with flat bottoms and tight fitting lids to conserve energy and shorten cooking time.

Only certain types of glass, glass/ceramic, ceramic, earthenware, or other glazed cookware are suitable for the cooktop. Manufacturers suggest using low to medium heat when using glass cookware.

Match the pan size to the element size. A slightly larger pan covers the entire element and prevents spillovers from contacting the heat surface. Using a smaller pan than the element is a waste of energy.

Ensure pan bottoms are clean and dry before placing them on the elements.

Never leave empty cookware, or one which has boiled dry, on a hot surface unit to avoid overheating and damage.

To set the clock and display:

Step 1. Select the CLOCK icon on the electronic oven control.

Step 2. Use the INC, SHIFT, and DEC icons to adjust the parameters.

Step 3. Click the CLOCK icon again to confirm the setting, or click the CANCEL icon to cancel.

To set the timer:

Step 1. Select a cooking mode first.

Step 2. Select the TIMER icon.

Step 3. Use the INC, SHIFT, and DEC icons to adjust the parameters.

Step 4. Click the TIMER icon to confirm your setting.

To use the Keep Warm function:

Step 1. You can use it alone or with other cooking modes. Long touch the KEEP WARM icon for 3 seconds to turn it on. When ON is displayed, the function is active.

Step 2. In this mode, the oven automatically keeps warm for 8 hours after cooking. Long touch for 3 seconds again to turn it off.

To use Sabbath Mode:

Step 1. Long touch the INC and CANCEL icons simultaneously for 5 seconds.

Step 2. The oven will switch to Sabbath mode, where it will keep silent and the lights will turn dim. Only BAKE and KEEP WARM functions can be used in this mode.

Step 3. Repeat the operation to end Sabbath mode.

To lock the control panel of the LANBO LB-ERT36RC-S:

Step 1. Long touch the START/PAUSE and CANCEL icons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

Step 2. An L will show on the display, indicating the control panel is locked.

Step 3. Repeat the operation again to unlock the control panel.

The oven door can be removed to facilitate cleaning. Follow these steps:

Step 1. Open the door to its full extent.

Step 2. Turn the hinge as shown in the manual illustrations.

Step 3. Hold the door firmly.

Step 4. Gently close the door and withdraw the hinge pins from their location.

Step 5. To replace the door, repeat these steps in reverse order.

To manage the removable storage drawer:

Step 1. To remove: Lift the left small hook upward while simultaneously pushing the right small hook downward.

Step 2. Pull the drawer straight out.

Step 3. To replace: Align the drawer with the rails and push it inward until it is secure.

Warning: do not store flammable materials in the storage drawer.

Before replacing the bulb, disconnect the appliance from the power supply and let the oven cavity cool down.

Step 1. Switch off the electric supply and remove the protective cover.

Step 2. Unscrew and replace the bulb with a new one suitable for high temperatures (300 to 570 degrees Celsius).

Step 3. Use a bulb with the following specifications: 120V 60Hz, 25W, G9.

Step 4. Replace the protective cover.

If you encounter issues, check the following potential causes:

Cooking elements do not work: Check for a blown household fuse or a tripped circuit breaker. Ensure control knobs are set correctly.

Cooking elements will not maintain a boil: Ensure you are using completely flat pans that match the diameter of the selected surface unit.

Control knobs will not turn: For surface units, ensure you are pushing in before turning. For the oven knob, ensure you are turning it in the correct direction.

Oven light does not work: The light bulb may be defective, or the function knob was set to OFF.

Food does not bake or broil properly: Ensure the oven control knob is set properly for the intended function (e.g., set to Broil for broiling). Check that the rack position is correct and that the cookware is appropriate for the selected cooking method.
