****** Page 2 ****** INTRODUCTION The Auto Charge 12, Model 091-142-XX is a compact completely automatic charger designed for installation in systems which require transient protection and temperature compensation. A thermistor is provided to sense the temperature of the battery so that the charging voltage is automatically compensated. A front panel ammeter indicates the charge current status of the battery. Construction of the Auto Charge 12 is extremely rugged to withstand shock and vibration. In addition the power input lines, charger output, and the voltage sense connections are provided with filters and MOV transient suppressors. These suppression circuits permit the charger to meet ANSI/IEEE C37.90.1-1989. INSTALLATION The Model 091-142 Auto Charge 12 Automatic Battery Charger should be installed in an area with adequate ventilation. A power cord is supplied for connection to 115 volts 60 Hz. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Mount the charger using the four holes provided for this. Connect the wiring from the battery to the Output Terminal Strip.
