This device detects the tone that you play on your instrument and outputs the closest reference tone. Compare it with the pitch of the tone that you output and tune your instrument. Sound Back mode can be used if a device is connected to either the INPUT jack or the (headphones) jack (or both).
- Press the TUNER ON button.
- To use Sound Out mode, press the SOUND/SOUND BACK button. To use Sound Back mode, hold down the SOUND/SOUND BACK button. " " appears on the display.
- Press the CALIB·NOTE or button to select a note in semitone steps between C3 and C6. If the device is in Sound Back mode, playing a single note on your instrument will output the closest reference tone.

- Press the START/STOP button. The metronome starts.
