First, calculate the maximum and minimum distance from the projector to the screen using your projector’s manual. The ceiling mount center bolt for the KNOLL CM25 needs to be about 3 inches to the left (when viewing the screen) of the left-to-right center imaginary line from the screen.

Select a safe and secure position to firmly screw the square ceiling mount to the ceiling. It is NOT RECOMMENDED to use sheet rock or wall board with inserts to hold the projector and mount. Instead, screw the ceiling mount for your KNOLL CM25 to a secure joist. Alternatively, you can use a 1/2″ painted wood butch plate secured to the joists and then screw the ceiling mount to the butch plate.

After screwing the ceiling mount to the ceiling, thread the knuckle assembly onto the ceiling mount. Using an allen wrench, slightly loosen the knuckle assembly screw.

Use the three supplied nylon spacers to mount the triangle-shaped projector mount on the projector. Use the enclosed bolts and lock washers. Ensure you use the lock washers. Tighten the screws, but do not over-tighten them.

Thread the projector mount (which is now attached to the projector) onto the knuckle assembly that is mounted on the ceiling mount. Spin the projector until it is tight. Continue to spin the projector up to one more complete turn until it is facing the correct direction and the allen nut is also facing the screen.

Turn the projector on. Adjust the projector horizontally and vertically until the image fills the screen. Once adjusted, tighten the knuckle assembly with the allen wrench. You may also need to adjust the projector’s keystone so the top and bottom of the image fit on the screen.

Some jurisdictions require a second safety attachment on all ceiling-mounted equipment. If this is the case in your area, add a secondary attachment. A popular method is to use a fishing leader from the projector’s adjustable foot to the ceiling.
