How do I determine the correct position for installing the KNOLL CM10 projector mount?
To correctly position your KNOLL CM10 mount, follow these steps:
1. Calculate the maximum and minimum distance from the projector to the screen. This information can be found in your projector’s manual.
2. The ceiling mount center bolt needs to be positioned about 3 inches to the left (when viewing the screen) of the imaginary center line that runs from the left to the right of the screen.
What is the recommended method for securing the KNOLL CM10 ceiling mount to the ceiling?
Select a safe and secure position to firmly screw the square ceiling mount to the ceiling. It is NOT RECOMMENDED to use sheet rock or wallboard with inserts to hold the projector and mount. Instead, screw the ceiling mount to a secure joist or use a 1/2″ painted wood butch plate secured to the joists, and then screw the ceiling mount to the butch plate.
How do I assemble the KNOLL CM10 projector mount?
1. After screwing the ceiling mount to the ceiling, thread the knuckle assembly onto the ceiling mount. With an allen wrench, slightly loosen the knuckle assembly screw.
2. Using the three supplied nylon spacers, mount the triangle-shaped projector mount on the projector with the enclosed bolts and lock washers. Be sure to use the lock washers. Tighten the screws but do not over-tighten them.
3. Thread the projector mount (now attached to the projector) onto the knuckle assembly. Spin the projector until it is tight. Continue to spin the projector up to one more complete turn until it is facing the correct direction and the allen nut is also facing the screen.
How do I adjust the projector image after installing it with the KNOLL CM10 mount?
Turn the projector on and horizontally and vertically adjust the projector until the image fills the screen. Once adjusted, tighten the knuckle assembly with the allen wrench. The projector may need to have its keystone adjusted so the image top and bottom fit on the screen.
What should I do if a secondary safety attachment is required for my KNOLL CM10?
Some jurisdictions require a second safety attachment on all ceiling-mounted equipment. If this is the case in your area, add a secondary attachment. A popular method is to use a fishing leader from the projector’s adjustable foot to the ceiling.
