Always dispose the battery-operated products according to federal, state, and local regulations. Contact a recycling agency in your area for recycling locations.

What steps should be taken before using the Cordless Citrus Juicer for the first time?

1. Charge the Battery until it is fully charged.

2. Clean all the parts and accessories (see “Care and Cleaning” section).

3. Remove all packaging materials, if present.

NOTE: Some dust may be on the product. This is due to the recycled materials used in packaging. This can be cleaned with a soft towel.

How do I charge the battery using the USB cable?

1. Attach the USB Cable to the USB Adapter**. Connect the other end of the USB Cable to the Battery.

(**USB Adapter is not provided with the product and not sold separately by KitchenAid.)

2. Plug the adapter into a power source.

How do I charge the battery using the optional Docking Station?

1. Attach the USB cord to the Adapter.

2. Plug the USB Adapter into a power source.

3. Turn the Battery upside down and slide the Battery onto the dock. Press down the Battery and the latch will snap into place.

4. Upon initial plugging in the Battery into the charger, the Battery LEDs will alternate for a few seconds as it performs a self-diagnostic of the Battery status.

5. After diagnostic is complete, the Battery will begin charging with a single LED flashing. LEDs will become solid as charging progresses. When Battery is fully charged, all LEDs will become solid.

NOTE: If initial alternating light pattern continues for more than 10 seconds, the Battery may be too warm or too cold to charge. Unplug Battery and allow it to stabilise to a normal room temperature and try charging again. If Battery is still not charge after this, unplug Battery and contact customer service.

How can I check the battery status and understand the LED indicators?

LED INDICATORS BATTERY LEVEL
Four LEDs ON (OOOO) 75-100%
Three LEDs ON (First LED OFF: ●OOO) 50-75%
Two LEDs ON (First two LEDs OFF: ●●OO) 25-50%
One LED ON (First three LEDs OFF: ●●●O) < 25%
One LED FLASHING (●●●◊) When Battery has only 10% Battery level, 1 LED starts to flash at rate of 1 second on/1 second off (0.5 Hz).

Full charge: The Battery will be fully charged in approximately 3 hours.

NOTE: LED Legend Indicator:

O = ON

● = OFF

◊ = FLASH

NOTE: When the Battery is installed or when the appliance is operated, the Battery charge status LEDs will display for 5 seconds and then turn off. If the Battery charge is 10% or less, the Indicator light will continue to flash until the unit is no longer in use or Battery is removed.

NOTE: It is best to store the Cordless Citrus Juicer at room temperature.

How do I prepare the Cordless Citrus Juicer for use?

Before using your Juicer for the first time, wipe clean the Juicer Base with a warm damp cloth. Dry with a soft cloth. Wash Reamer, Sieve, Reservoir, and Shaft Cover in warm, sudsy water (see “Care and Cleaning” section). Rinse parts and wipe dry. Be sure the countertop beneath the Juicer and surrounding areas are dry and clean.

IMPORTANT: When moving your Juicer, always support/lift from the Juicer Base. The Base will disengage from the reservoir assembly if carried by the Reservoir only.

How do I use the Cordless Citrus Juicer to juice citrus fruits?

NOTE: Make sure the Battery is fully charged before use.

1. Ensure that the Juicer Base is sitting on a clean, dry surface. Insert the Shaft Cover over the shaft until it clicks. Then place the Reservoir on the Juicer Base.

2. Place and align the Sieve in the Reservoir until it is seated properly.

3. Place the Reamer on the top of the Sieve. Ensure proper assembly of all parts to prevent spills.

NOTE: Always ensure the Reservoir is seated properly before using the Juicer.

4. Insert the Battery on the Battery slot located at the back of the appliance, making sure it is aligned. The LEDs will glow and display the Battery level for five seconds, then turn off.

NOTE: Do not place the Battery in an area of extreme heat or cold. It will work best at normal room temperature.

5. Cut the citrus fruit into 2 identical horizontal halves. Place one half of the cut citrus fruit over the centre of the Reamer so it aligns with the reamer tip.

6. To operate, press the citrus fruit half down on the Reamer, ensuring that the spout is open for the juice to flow out or closed to collect juice in the Reservoir. Firmly hold the fruit half against the spinning Reamer and move the fruit in all directions to extract the juice. To stop juicing, lift the fruit half off of the Reamer. If the spout was closed, rotate the knob to the left to transfer juice to a collection container.

NOTE: If desired, lift the citrus fruit half and press down again to reverse Reamer direction. This can be done multiple times to achieve maximum extraction.

7. Once all juice has been extracted from the citrus half, remove it from the Reamer and the Juicer will automatically stop.

IMPORTANT: Do not try to remove the Reamer while the motor is still running. Do not press down the Reamer during removal from base.

NOTE: Repeat steps several times for best juicing results.

8. Remove the Battery before taking any parts off of the Juicer.

How do I care for and clean the Cordless Citrus Juicer and its accessories?

Clean the Juicer and accessories thoroughly after every use.

IMPORTANT: Allow the appliance to cool completely before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

NOTE: To avoid damaging the Juicer, do not immerse the Juicer Base or Battery in water. To avoid scratching the Juicer, do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads.

1. To clean the Juicer Base: Remove the Battery from the Juicer before cleaning. Wipe clean the base with a warm, damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth.

2. To clean the spout, move the knob clockwise to the unlock position and pull.

3. Dishwasher-safe parts – top rack only: The Reamer, Sieve, Reservoir, Knob and Shaft Cover can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
