What precautions should I take with the mains plug and AC adapter?
• The mains plug shall remain readily operable.
• Remove the mains plug immediately if the camcorder functions abnormally.
• Be sure to use the supplied AC adapter.
• Do not use the supplied AC adapter with other devices.
• To avoid electric shock or damage, first firmly insert the small end of the power cord into the AC Adapter until it is no longer wobbly, and then plug the larger end of the power cord into an AC outlet.
• To prevent shock, do not open the cabinet. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
• When not using the AC adapter for a long period, disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet.
What are the safety precautions regarding the lens and handling?
• Do not point the lens directly into the sun. This can cause eye injuries, malfunctioning internal circuitry, and risk of fire or electric shock.
• Carrying or holding this unit by the LCD monitor can result in dropping the unit or a malfunction.
• Do not use a tripod on unsteady or unlevel surfaces. It could tip over, causing serious damage.
• Connecting cables to this unit and leaving it on top of a TV is not recommended, as tripping on cables can cause the unit to fall, resulting in damage.
