The following tools are recommended for installing the ISPRING WCB32C: Safety Glasses, Towels, Flat Head Screwdriver, Deburring Tools, Pipe Cutter, Torch, Adjustable Wrench, Medium Crescent Wrench, and Plumber’s tape.

The ISPRING WCB32C should not be used with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Keep the filter in a sheltered location and never expose it to freezing or extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Note the inlet and outlet markings and the water flow direction. Follow all local plumbing and building codes and ensure plumber’s tape is used on threaded fittings.

The ISPRING WCB32C filter configuration is as follows:

Step 1. Determine the location and water flow direction. Measure, cut, and remove the section of water line where the system is to be installed. Allow the line to drain and smooth the ends with a deburring tool.

Step 2. Securely mount the ISPRING WCB32C bracket and ensure it is level. Attach plumbing to the INLET and OUTLET with 3/4 inch male NPT threaded adapters using 12 to 15 wraps of plumber’s tape.

Step 3. Fit pipe unions and shutoff valves onto the main water line and connect to the ISPRING WCB32C. Use plumber’s tape on all threaded fittings and install pipe hangers for additional support.

Step 4. Connect a ground jumper wire if you have metal pipes.

Step 5. Unwrap cartridges and insert each into the housing, centering on the standpipe. Ensure the center knob of the housing fits securely in the filter’s central hole. Hand tighten the housing, then use the supplied filter wrench to tighten lightly. Do not over-tighten.

Step 6. Slowly turn on the water supply to fill the housing. Check for leaks. Open the nearest COLD water faucet and run water for about 10 minutes to expel carbon fines. Do not use a hot water faucet for this flush.

The ISPRING WCB32C requires cartridge replacement every 6 to 12 months depending on contaminant levels. If water pressure drops, it may be time to change the filter.

To change the cartridge: Turn off the water supply and open a nearby faucet to release pressure. Unscrew the housing with the filter wrench. Remove and discard the old cartridge. Clean the housing and cap with warm water and 2 tablespoons of household bleach. Rinse thoroughly. Lubricate the O-ring with clean silicone grease if needed and ensure it is seated correctly in the groove. Insert the new cartridge, align the housing, and hand tighten. Use the wrench to fit snugly, but do not over-tighten. Turn on the water slowly to check for leaks. Flush the system for a few minutes until the water runs clear.

Note: A filled circle indicates the filter is included in the original package. An open circle indicates the filter can apply to this system even though it is not included in the original package.

If pressure is dropping after a period of time, replace the cartridges. If pressure drops immediately after installation, ensure the plastic wrapping has been removed from the filter cartridges. Also, avoid high flow situations like body sprayers for the first 72 hours; if a blockage occurs, turn off water for 10 minutes then resume at low flow.

The water may appear cloudy or grey for the first 3 to 5 days after installation of the ISPRING WCB32C due to tiny air bubbles being purged from the filters and extra carbon dust.

Yes, a water softener is needed if your source water has a high level of hardness, usually with TDS higher than 700 ppm, as hard water can reduce the lifespan of the ISPRING WCB32C filter cartridges. The ISPRING WCB32C removes sediment, chlorine, and rust, but it does not soften water.
