How should the power cord be wired for the United Kingdom?

NOTE: This lead/appliance must only be wired by competent persons.

WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.

The wires are coloured as follows:

Blue: Neutral – Connect to the terminal marked N or coloured Blue or Black.

Brown: Live (Phase) – Connect to the terminal marked L or P or coloured Brown or Red.

If in doubt, consult the instructions provided or contact the supplier.

The cable/appliance should be protected by a suitably rated and approved HBC mains fuse (e.g., 3A or 5A for 0.75mm² cable). Refer to equipment ratings.

Any removed/replaced moulded mains connector must be destroyed and disposed of safely.

Re-wiring must follow the information on the label.

What are the different output modes of the IPS X303 series?

The IPS X303 series has three output modes: Independent, Tracking Series, and Tracking Parallel, selected using the TRACKING key.

Independent Mode: Output voltage and current of each channel (CH1/CH2) are controlled separately. Isolation is 300V.

Tracking Series Mode: CH1 and CH2 outputs are automatically connected in series internally. Output voltage is doubled; CH1 controls the combined voltage.

Tracking Parallel Mode: CH1 and CH2 outputs are automatically connected in parallel internally. Output current is doubled.

How do Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC) modes work?

Each output channel operates in either Constant Voltage (CV) or Constant Current (CC) mode and automatically crosses over between modes based on the load.

CV Mode: Operates when the load current is less than the set current limit. The output voltage is held constant at the set level, and the current varies with the load. The front panel C.V. indicator is green.

CC Mode: Operates when the load current reaches the set current limit. The output current is held constant at the set level, and the voltage drops below the set level to prevent overload. The front panel C.C. indicator is red.

Crossover: The supply switches from CV to CC when the current reaches the set limit, and from CC to CV when the current drops below the set limit.

What is the Dynamic Load feature?

When used in audio production lines, the power supply can provide a continuous or dynamic load using a jumper connector (JP101/JP401). Setting the jumper to the “ON” position provides stable DC power suitable for audio power amplifiers.

I pressed the panel lock key but the output still turns on/off. Why?

The output key is not affected by the panel lock key operation, for ensuring safety.

The CH3 overload indicator turned on – is this an error?

No, it simply means that the CH3 output current reached the maximum 3.0A and the operation mode turned from CV (constant voltage) to CC (constant current). You can continue using the power supply, although reducing the output load is recommended.

The specifications do not match the real accuracies. Why might this be?

Make sure that the power supply is powered on for at least 30 minutes, within +20 to +30°C operating temperature.

The internal memory is not recording the panel setting correctly – the output should be on. Why is it off?

The output state is always stored or recalled as “off” to ensure safety.
