The lens cleaning pen features a soft brush on one end designed to remove dust, and a cleaning pad on the other end designed to remove oil and fingerprints.
How should I use the cleaning tissues included with the INSIGNIA NS-DCLNKIT?
The cleaning tissues are used to remove oil and fingerprints. Do not add cleaning solution to the tissues and do not reuse the tissues.
How do I wash the microfiber cloth provided with the INSIGNIA NS-DCLNKIT?
To clean the microfiber cloth, wash it in mild detergent or warm water.
What is the procedure for cleaning a camera or camcorder lens with the INSIGNIA NS-DCLNKIT?
Follow these steps to clean your lens:
1. Remove any loose dirt on the lens and the surrounding edges with the dust blower.
2. Gently brush the lens and edges with the brush on the lens cleaning pen to remove small particles of dust.
3. Gently wipe the lens and surrounding edges with the cleaning pad on the lens cleaning pen or with a cleaning tissue. You can adjust the pad on the pen to clean hard to reach areas.
4. Gently dry the lens and surrounding edges with the microfiber cloth.
5. Let the lens sit for several minutes to make sure it is dry.
Is the cleaning pad on the INSIGNIA NS-DCLNKIT lens pen reversible?
No, the pad is not reversible. Only use the outer side of the lens pen cleaning pad. Using the inner side with the seam could scratch the lens.
How do I clean an LCD screen using the INSIGNIA NS-DCLNKIT?
Gently wipe the LCD screen with the microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints, etc. Afterward, gently dry the LCD screen and surrounding edges with the microfiber cloth and let it sit for several minutes to make sure it is dry.
How should I apply the liquid cleaning solution when using the INSIGNIA NS-DCLNKIT?
You can apply a small amount of the liquid cleaning solution to the microfiber cloth to help clean the lens or LCD screen. Do not apply the liquid cleaning solution directly to the lens, LCD screen, pad side of the lens cleaning pen, or cleaning tissues.
