Before using the appliance, it must be properly positioned and installed as described in the manual. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, follow these basic precautions:

Inspection and Installation:

• Carefully inspect the appliance. If you discover any faults, stop the installation and contact the vendor.

• In the event that the appliance is damaged on delivery, contact the supplier immediately.

• To avoid a hazard due to instability, the appliance must be fixed in accordance with the instructions.

Handling and Use:

• When disconnecting the appliance, pull on the plug, not on the cable.

• Do not stand on the base, drawers or doors or use them to support anything else.

• Do not allow flames or sources of ignition to enter the appliance. Ensure the refrigerant circuit is not damaged during transport and cleaning.

• Keep the room well ventilated.

• Do not store explosives or sprays using combustible propellants such as butane, propane, pentane, etc., in the appliance.

• Do not use electrical devices inside the appliance unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.

Repairs and Servicing:

• Any repairs and work on the appliance should only be carried out by the customer service department. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

Child Safety:

• Packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene parts, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children, as they present a possible source of danger.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given initial supervision or instruction. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Before you throw away your old appliance: Take off the door. Leave the parts in place so that children may not easily climb inside.

Electrical Safety:

• This appliance is equipped with a power cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.

• Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord.

• Do not use an adapter plug with this appliance.

Warnings:

• WARNING: Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.

• WARNING: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

• WARNING: Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

ATTENTION: If the appliance was transported in a horizontal position, the oil from the compressor may have leaked into the cooling circuit. Allow the appliance to rest in a vertical position for 12 hours before turning it on to allow the oil to flow back into the compressor.

Remove the external packaging, any protective plastic film, and clean the external parts with a suitable cleaner. Do not use steel wool or coarse agents.

Before installation, consider the following:

• The placement must meet the operating conditions and be on a stable floor with a load-bearing capacity for the appliance’s weight.

• Level the appliance using the adjustable feet. Ensure there is a gap between the bottom edge and the ground for sufficient air circulation.

• Check that no coolant circulation pipes were damaged during installation.

• Use the appliance only for its designed purpose.

• The appliance must be on a rigid and even surface for free coolant circulation and effective operation.

• If possible, place the appliance in a cool, well-ventilated, and dry room.

• Do not locate the appliance in direct sunlight, high ambient temperature rooms, or near direct heat sources like a radiator or oven, as this will increase power consumption.

For built-in installation, certain clearances are necessary for optimal operation. Allow 2.5mm (1/8″) on left and right sides, 30-50mm (1″ – 2 1/8”) at the rear, and 5mm (1/6″) at the top to ensure proper ventilation. The air vent at the front of the appliance must never be covered or blocked.

Proper operation is guaranteed only if the following conditions are met:

• The temperature in the room where the appliance is located conforms to the climate class stated on the appliance’s rating label.

• Maximum ambient relative humidity: RH75%.

• The appliance must be placed at a sufficient distance from heat sources (e.g., ovens, central heating, direct sunlight, etc.).

• The appliance must be located in a place where it is protected against the effects of weather.

• Regular maintenance is performed according to the instructions in this user’s manual.

• The ventilation openings on the appliance must not be covered.

• Correct installation (e.g., leveling, capacity of the system corresponds to specifications on the rating label).

These wine coolers have a temperature range from 4°C to 18°C. The controls are as follows:

• Power Button: Press and hold for approximately 3 seconds to turn the unit ON and OFF.

• Energy Conservation Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn energy conservation mode ON or OFF. In this mode, the LED light and display will turn off, but the °C/°F indicator light will remain on.

• Compressor Indicator Light: Shows that the compressor is in operation.

• Increase Temperature Button (▲): Increases (warms) the temperature in steps of 1°C.

• Decrease Temperature Button (▼): Decreases (cools) the temperature in steps of 1°C.

• °C/°F Button: Switches the temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

• Light Button: Turns the interior light ON and OFF. This button is not functional when Energy Conservation mode is on.

This model has two temperature zones: the upper zone has a range of 5°C to 12°C, and the lower zone has a range of 12°C to 18°C.

• POWER BUTTON: Press and hold for three seconds to power the unit ON or OFF. The “Run” indicator light will illuminate when the unit is on.

• UPPER ZONE TEMPERATURE: Decreases (cools) the temperature in the upper department in steps of 1°F (or 1°C).

• LOWER ZONE TEMPERATURE: Decreases (cools) the temperature in the lower department in steps of 1°F (or 1°C).

• INTERIOR LIGHT: Press to turn the interior LED light on. Press again to turn it off.

• RUN INDICATOR: When lit, the unit is in cooling mode.

• Change Temperature Scale (°F/°C): Press and hold the upper and lower zone temperature buttons at the same time for five seconds. A sound will beep and the indicator light will illuminate next to the desired temperature setting.

This beverage cooler has a temperature range from 2°C to 10°C. The controls are as follows:

• Power Button: Press and hold for approximately 3 seconds to turn the unit ON and OFF.

• Energy Conservation Button: Pressing this button for 3 seconds will turn the energy conservation mode ON or OFF. In this mode, the LED light and display will turn off, and the °C/°F light will be on.

• Compressor Indicator Light: Shows that the compressor is in operation.

• Increase Temperature Button (▲): Increases (warms) the temperature in steps of 1°C.

• Decrease Temperature Button (▼): Decreases (cools) the temperature in steps of 1°C.

• °C/°F Button: Press to switch the indicator light between °C/°F.

• Light Button: Turns the interior light ON and OFF. This button is useless when Energy conservation button is on. The LED display screen shows the temperature setting.

The zone temperature may have a difference of +/- 5°F (+/- 3°C) from the setting depending on loading and ambient conditions.

When you press the temperature increase or decrease button once, the temperature will change by 1°F (or 1°C). If you try to go beyond the minimum/maximum value, the display will jump to the lowest/highest adjustable temperature value automatically. If a button is not pressed for 5 seconds, the LED will stop flashing and the setting mode will be exited.

Temperature Memory Function: If the power is suddenly lost, the set temperature will be saved by the unit. Once the power is back on, the unit will be at the same set temperature.

Temperature Alarm Function:

• If the interior temperature is higher than 73°F (23°C), “HI” is shown on the display panel and the buzzer alarm sounds continuously after one hour. This indicates that the inner temperature is too high.

• If the inner temperature is lower than 32°F (0°C), “LO” is shown on the display panel. For model ILBC142BV, this occurs when the temperature is lower than 26°F (-3°C). The alarm and the malfunction indicator light will go on at the same time.

If too many bottles are put in at once or the door has not been closed tightly, the unit will display the “HI” signal on the display panel. This is normal. Please wait 5 minutes after closing the door and “HI” will disappear.

It is normal that the cabinet shows “HI” or “LO” from time to time. If it occurs frequently or lasts for a long time, you can restart the unit by unplugging it, then re-plugging after 5 minutes. If the problem occurs again after restarting, please contact customer service.

Before reconnecting the power, wait 3 to 5 minutes. Otherwise you could damage your appliance. If you attempt to start the appliance before the end of this time delay, it will not turn on.

If you turn on the appliance for the first time, after a restart, or after it has been out of operation for a long time, there may be a temperature difference between the temperature inside and on the LED display. This is a normal event caused by the duration of the activation period. Leave the appliance turned on for several hours for the temperatures to stabilize.

If you are storing wine for long periods, it should be stored between 10°C and 14°C (50°F and 57°F).

Recommended drinking temperatures:

• Red wines: 57°F to +64°F (+14°C to +18°C)

• Rosé wines: 50°F to +54°F (+10°C to +12°C)

• White wines: 46°F to +54°F (+8°C to +12°C)

The wine cooler shelving suits Bordeaux Style Bottles (76.5mm diameter and 300.5mm Height).

To prevent damaging the doors or gasket seals, open the doors wide when removing the shelves. To remove a shelf, you must lift it (from the rear) and pull it towards you. To re-install, ensure the shelf is resting securely on the support brackets and push it inward until it locks into place.

IMPORTANT: Do not cover the gap of glass shelves with aluminum foil or any other type of material that will prevent adequate air circulation within the cabinet.

1. Open the door completely.

2. If necessary, remove all the contents sitting on the shelf.

3. Pull the shelf forward until the notch aligns with the metal post on each side of the shelf track.

4. Lift the shelf until both notches pass through the posts.

5. Continue to pull the shelf forward until it is completely removed from the inner compartment.

To prevent damaging the door gasket, make sure to have the door all the way opened when pulling shelves out of the rail compartment.

For easy access to the bottles, you must pull the shelves approximately 1/3 out of the rail compartment.

To remove the shelves from the rail, pull each shelf approximately 1/3 out. Use a long flat screwdriver to press down the right plastic notch and at the same time lift the left plastic notch. Then proceed to pull out the shelf slowly.

To ensure correct function, it is important that the cabinet is level. The cabinet is supplied with legs, which can be adjusted by pliers or a professional installer.

To guarantee the stability of the model ILWD36X, install and screw the fastening bracket correctly onto the kitchen furniture.

1. Turn off the power, unplug the appliance, and remove all items including shelves and rack.

2. Wash the inside surfaces with warm water and a baking soda solution (about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to a quart of water).

3. Wash the shelves with a mild detergent solution.

4. Wring excess water out of the sponge or cloth when cleaning the area of the controls or any electrical parts.

5. Wash the outside cabinet with warm water and mild liquid detergent. Rinse well and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.

Power Failure: Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect the temperature if you minimize the number of times the door is opened. If the power is going to be off for a longer period, you need to take the proper steps to protect your contents.

Vacation Time:

• Short vacations (less than three weeks): Leave the Wine Cellar operating.

• Long vacations (several months): Remove all items and turn off the appliance. Clean and dry the interior thoroughly. To prevent door and mold growth, leave the door open slightly, blocking it open if necessary.

2. Securely tape down all loose items (shelves) inside your appliance.

3. Turn the adjustable leg up to the base to avoid damage.

4. Tape the door shut.

5. Be sure the appliance stays secure in the upright position during transportation. Also protect the outside of the appliance with a blanket or similar item.

• Not plugged in.

• The appliance is turned off.

• Tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse.

Check the following possible causes:

• Check the temperature control setting.

• The external environment may require a higher setting.

• The door is opened too often.

• The door is not closed completely.

• The door gasket does not seal properly.

Check the following possible causes:

• The room temperature is higher than normal.

• A large amount of contents has been added to the appliance.

• The door is opened too often.

• The door is not closed completely.

• The temperature control is not set correctly.

• The door gasket does not seal properly.

Check the following possible causes:

• Not plugged in.

• Tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse.

• The bulb has burned out.

• The light button is OFF. Or the Energy conservation button is on.

Check to be sure the appliance is level.

• The rattling noise may come from the flow of the refrigerant, which is normal.

• As each cycle ends, you may hear gurgling sounds caused by the flow of refrigerant in your appliance.

• Contraction and expansion of the inside walls may cause popping and crackling noises.

• The appliance is not level.

• The appliance is not level.

• The door was reversed and not properly re-installed.

• The gasket is dirty.

• The shelves are out of position.
