The Alarm I/O connector provides alarm input and output capabilities.

Alarm Out (O):

This is a BJT (Bipolar Junction Transistor) open collector output. Exceeding the specification limit (Max. Load: 30mA, Max. Voltage: 5VDC) could damage the product. If connecting an external inductive load like a relay, a diode must be connected in parallel with the load for protection.

Alarm In (I):

Connect an alarm-in device to this port. You can choose between an NC (Normally Closed) or NO (Normally Open) type. Connect a mechanical or electrical switch to the alarm-in port and the GND (ground) connector. The alarm-in range is 0V to 5V. To detect an alarm input, the signal must be higher than 4.3V from an NC switch or less than 0.3V from an NO switch, and must last for longer than 0.5 seconds.

A factory reset will clear all camera settings configured by the user. Only use the factory reset button to restore the camera to its factory default settings.

1. Shut off the power supply.

2. Remove the dome cover and then press the reset button down.

3. Hold the button down and reconnect the power adapter.

4. Once the device turns back on, wait 5 seconds, and then release the reset button.

5. The device will go through the resetting process and reboot. All camera settings will be restored to their factory defaults after the reboot.

A factory reset can also be initiated by pressing and releasing the reset button while the camera is on, or through the IDIS Discovery program.

1. Turn the dome cover counterclockwise.

2. Remove the dome cover.

To insert the card, push it into the SD memory card slot with the ‘micro SD’ print facing upward.

To remove the card, push the SD memory card until it disengages from the slot, and then pull it out.

Important Notes:

• Do not remove the SD memory card while the camera is in operation, as this can cause malfunction or data corruption.

• An SLC (Single Level Cell) or MLC (Multi Level Cell) card by SanDisk or Transcend is recommended.

• An SD card is a consumable product. Prolonged use can damage memory sectors. Test the card regularly and replace it when necessary.

• Check the wall or ceiling to ensure it is strong enough to support the camera’s weight to prevent it from falling.

• Install the camera in a shaded area. Direct sunlight exposure may adversely affect the camera’s performance.

1. Use the provided screws and anchors to secure the installation bracket on a wall or ceiling. You can use the provided guide pattern to check the distance between the screws.

2. Connect external devices, the network cable, and the power adapter to the camera body.

3. Adjust the camera angle as needed. Refer to the angle adjustment instructions for details.

The lens of the IDIS DC-D4536RX-A can be rotated along three axes:

• Lens Rotation: Turn the lens rotator clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the lens’s rotation angle.

• Vertical Rotation: Manually adjust the lens’s vertical angle.

• Horizontal Rotation: Turn the horizontal rotator clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the lens’s horizontal angle.

Attach the dome cover to the bottom cover. Turn the dome cover clockwise to fasten the dome cover.

For a non-DirectIP™ NVR setup, you can control the camera over the network from software installed on a computer. This is ideal for remote network use.

1. Connect alarm out, sensor in, audio in/out (if applicable), and power to the camera.

2. Connect the camera to your network switch or router using an Ethernet cable.

3. You can use a computer for:

• Remote Monitoring: Use software like IDIS Solution Suite Compact or IDIS Web.

• Remote Recording: Use software like IDIS Solution Suite Compact.

4. Alternatively, the camera can record directly to an installed microSD memory card.

• Check the power cable connection. If using a PoE switch, check the Ethernet cable connection.

• Check the power outlet. If using PoE, check the PSE device’s power supply.

Check the grounding status of the I/O device connected to the camera and the PoE switch. If they are not grounded, ground them and try again.

• Check the camera’s power status.

• Ensure that cables are properly connected to the camera and the lens.

• Check the network connection status of the computer and the network camera.

• Make sure the lens is clean. If not, clean it using a soft piece of cloth or a brush.

• Make sure the lens is in focus. Adjust the focus during daytime.

• If there is too much light coming into the camera or the camera is picking up an overly bright light source, adjust the camera’s position/angle accordingly.

Check the white balance settings. If using the Auto option, it may take some time for the white balance to be adjusted.

If the camera is pointed at the sun or a fluorescent lamp, adjust the camera’s angle away.

You must perform a factory reset. A factory reset will revert all settings, including network settings, to their factory defaults. After performing a factory reset, make a memo of the new admin ID and password as a safety precaution.
