• To avoid the risk of fire, do not place containers of liquid, such as vases, on the amp.

The IBANEZ TONE BLASTER 100H can be connected to a speaker system of 4 ohm impedance and 120W or greater power handling. Use a speaker cable with 1/4 inch plugs to connect the SPEAKER OUTPUT jack to the speaker.

If you are using TB412A/TB412S 4 ohm/16 ohm (MONO) cabinets:

1. To connect one TB412 cabinet, set the switch to MONO mode and connect the cable to the 4 ohm jack.

2. To connect two TB412 cabinets, set the switches of both to MONO mode and connect the cables to the 16 ohm jacks.

Caution: The total impedance of the connected speaker system must not be less than 4 ohms. Using an inappropriate configuration will place an excessive load on the amp, which may cause it to malfunction or fail.

Follow these steps to connect cables to the IBANEZ TONE BLASTER 100H:

Step 1. Connect the included power cable from an AC outlet to the rear panel AC inlet.

Step 2. Use a shielded guitar cable to connect your electric guitar to the INPUT jack.

Step 3. If using compact effect devices like distortion or compressors, connect them between the guitar and the amp. For spatial effects such as chorus, delay, or reverb, use the SEND and RETURN jacks.

Step 4. To use the included foot switch, connect the dual-stereo cable to the foot switch and then connect plugs 1 and 2 of the cable to the rear panel FOOT SW jacks 1 and 2.

Step 5. Ensure each VOLUME control is set to 0 before turning on the POWER switch. Verify the switch is lit.

Step 6. Ensure the volume control on your guitar is raised.

Follow these instructions for operating the clean channel on the IBANEZ TONE BLASTER 100H:

1. Use the foot switch or the CHANNEL switch to make the green LED light up.

2. Raise the clean channel VOLUME control to approximately 5, then raise the clean channel GAIN control to adjust the volume.

3. To produce distortion on this channel, select a humbucking pickup, raise the GAIN control to 7 to 10, and boost the equalizer settings.

4. To avoid distortion, raise the VOLUME control and lower the GAIN control.

5. To improve the Signal to Noise (S/N) ratio, raise the GAIN control as far as possible without causing distortion and lower the VOLUME control.

6. To obtain a distorted crunch sound, turn on the BOOST switch, raise the GAIN control, and adjust the VOLUME after creating distortion in the pre-amp.

7. Use the BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE equalizer controls, REVERB, and PRESENCE controls to adjust the tone, then use the VOLUME control to finalize the level.

Follow these steps for the overdrive channel on the IBANEZ TONE BLASTER 100H:

1. Use the foot switch or front panel CHANNEL switch to make the red LED light up.

2. Turn off the BOOST switch (the LED should be dark).

3. Set the overdrive VOLUME control to approximately 2 to 4.

4. Raise the overdrive GAIN control to hear sound and adjust the degree of distortion as desired.

5. Adjust the BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE equalizer, MID SHIFT switch, REVERB, and PRESENCE controls as needed.

6. Use the VOLUME control to set the final volume. Activating the BOOST switch will increase the volume significantly.

The IBANEZ TONE BLASTER 100H front panel features the following controls:

1. INPUT jack: Standard 1/4 inch terminal for guitar input.

8. REVERB LEVEL control: Adjusts the reverb level. This can be toggled ON and OFF via the footswitch.

9. CHANNEL switch: Switches between the green (Clean) and red (Overdrive) channels. This switch is disabled if a footswitch is connected.

10. GAIN control (Overdrive): Adjusts the level of overdrive distortion. Lowering it produces a clearer sound; raising it increases distortion and sustain.

11. BASS control (Overdrive): Low-range equalizer that boosts or cuts the 100 Hz band by +/- 12 dB.

12. MIDDLE control and MID SHIFT pull switch: The control cuts the center level by up to -20 dB. The pull switch toggles the center frequency between 1 kHz and 600 Hz. This switch is disabled if a footswitch is connected.

13. TREBLE control (Overdrive): High-range shelving equalizer that boosts or cuts frequencies of 4 kHz or higher by +/- 12 dB.

14. VOLUME control (Overdrive): Adjusts the volume of the overdrive channel.

15. REVERB LEVEL control (Overdrive): Adjusts the reverb level for the overdrive channel.

16. EFFECTS LOOP SEND jack: Output jack (-10 dB) to connect to the input of external effects units.

17. EFFECTS LOOP RETURN jack: Input jack (-10 dB) to connect from the output of external effects units.

18. PRESENCE control: Adjusts the suppression of ultra-high frequencies at the final stage of the preamp for both channels.

19. HEADPHONES jack: 1/4 inch stereo output jack. Built-in speakers are muted when headphones are in use.
