The HYUNDAI 68231 must be installed, operated and stored in a dry room with a floor area of at least 13 m² (68231 and 68241).

Never use the HYUNDAI 68231 in an airtight room. Provide adequate ventilation to prevent underpressure in the room. Underpressure can disrupt safe operation.

Place the HYUNDAI 68231 on a solid and flat surface.

Always move the HYUNDAI 68231 with both hands.

Never touch the HYUNDAI 68231 with damp or wet hands.

The HYUNDAI 68231 must not be cleaned or maintained by children without supervision.

Keep the HYUNDAI 68231 out of the reach of children under the age of 8 and do not let children play with the appliance.

Remove the condensation water completely. Let the HYUNDAI 68231 run at low speed in the fan function for several hours until condensation water no longer runs out.

Switch off the HYUNDAI 68231 and remove the plug from the wall socket.

Clean and reinstall the filters.

Remove the exhaust hose and the water drain hose.

If possible, pack the HYUNDAI 68231 in its original packaging or in a plastic bag.

Store the HYUNDAI 68231 in an upright position in a clean, dry and well-ventilated area no smaller than 13 m² (68231 and 68241).

Do not place heavy objects on the HYUNDAI 68231.

Remove the batteries from the remote control.

Switch off the HYUNDAI 68231 and always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning or performing maintenance.

Switch off the HYUNDAI 68231 and remove the plug from the wall socket.

Remove the filter frame from the appliance.

Use a vacuum cleaner to vacuum dust from the filter.

Turn the filter over and rinse the air filter under running water. Let the water flow through the filter in the opposite direction of the air flow. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling.

If the appliance stops after the water tank is full, unplug the HYUNDAI 68231.

Place a container under the water drainage point (7).

Pull the water plug (20) out of the water drain point, the water will automatically flow into the container.

When all the water has been drained, replace the water plug.

Plug in the power plug and restart the device.

Switch off the HYUNDAI 68231.

Remove the plug from the water drain hole and keep it in a safe place.

Connect the drain hose securely and make sure it is not kinked.

Place the drain hose above a bucket, for example, and make sure that the water can flow freely.

Do not immerse the end of the hose in water, otherwise the appliance will not be able to get rid of the water.

Since the negative pressure of the condensate tray is large, it is best to place the drain hose at an angle of slightly more than 20 degrees.

Keep the hose straight to avoid a blockage.

Switch on the HYUNDAI 68231 and press TIMER (19) for 5 seconds to activate the WiFi mode. The WiFi symbol will light up and flash.

Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to control the device with the app.

Open the bluetooth function of your smartphone or tablet. Open the app, the device will be connected automatically.

Press and hold TIMER for 5 seconds to disconnect the WiFi.

(10) Switches the mode between fan, cooling and dehumidifier.

(11) Shows the selected mode.

(12) Enables or disables night mode.

(13) Decreases the desired temperature or time setting.

(14) Increases the desired temperature or time setting.

(15) Shows the temperature and time setting.

(16) Controls the airflow direction.

(17) Indicates the temperature and function (cooling, dehumidifying or fan).

(18) Sets the fan speed.

(19) Sets a time when the unit will automatically start or stop.

Press the on/off button (9) to switch on the appliance. The device automatically starts in fan mode. Press the mode button (10) to select the desired mode. Press the power button again to turn off the power.

The HYUNDAI 68231 has four functions: cooling, ventilation, dehumidification, night mode.

Select the cooling mode by pressing the mode button repeatedly until the cooling indicator lights up.

Press the up (14) or down (13) button to adjust the temperature. The temperature can be set between 16°C and 32°C.

Press the speed button (18) repeatedly until you have selected the desired fan speed.

Press the SWING button (16) to adjust the direction of the airflow.

The air conditioner will stop if the room temperature is lower than the selected temperature.

Press the mode button several times until the ventilation indicator lights up.

In the ventilation mode, the room air is circulated, but not cooled.

Press the speed button repeatedly to select the desired fan speed.

Press the mode button until the dehumidification indicator lights up. The user must connect the hose to the drain at the bottom of the unit.

In this mode, the fan speed switches to a low speed, the temperature cannot be selected.

Night mode can only be activated in cooling mode.

In cooling mode, after 1 hour the preset temperature is increased by 1°C, after another hour the preset temperature is increased by 1°C again.

The timer can be operated in two ways and can be set from 1 to 24 hours.

Power off (when the power is on); press the timer button to activate the timer function. Press the up/down button repeatedly to set the delayed switch-off time.

Power on (when the power is off); press the timer button to activate the timer function. Press the up/down button repeatedly to set the delayed power-on time.

The timer can be canceled by pressing the up/down button repeatedly until the LED shows ‘00’.

Pressing POWER also exits the timer setting.

If the ambient temperature sensor detects that the evaporator temperature is below -1 °C, the compressor will stop. It will restart after 10 minutes of standstill or after the evaporator temperature has risen to 7°C.

As soon as the temperature sensor detects that the evaporator temperature is less than 40°C and the difference between the evaporator temperature and the room temperature is less than 19°C, the unit will shut down for 20 minutes. Then, after 5 minutes of defrosting during which the on/off button flashes, the appliance switches on again.

Empty the water tank.

Set the temperature again.

Plug in the plug.

Clean the air filter.

Close windows and doors.

Set the temperature again.

Clean the air inlet.

Remove the obstruction.

Straighten the hose.

Surface is not firm and flat.

Flowing refrigerant makes noise. This is normal.

Check for communication error between main PCB and display PCB.

Have the display PCB wiring harness checked for damage.

Room temperature sensor is defective.

Have the sensor replaced.

Evaporator sensor is defective.

Have the sensor replaced.

Water tank is full.

Empty the water tank.

Clean the housing with a soft cloth or soft paper.

If dirt is difficult to remove, use a soft cloth with a little soapy water.

Never try to clean the inside of the appliance.

Do not use chemical cleaners, gasoline or other solvents. These can irreparably damage the housing.

In order to discharge the waste air, which contains waste heat and moisture, the drain hose must be led outside.

Do not use a longer drain hose, this can cause the device to be switched off due to low back pressure.

To install the drain hose, proceed as follows:

1. Fit the hose coupling (b) to one end of the drain hose (fig. E).

2. Screw the adapter (c) onto the other end of the drain hose (fig. F).

3. Fit the end (with the hose coupling) of the exhaust hose to the warm air outlet (8) on the rear panel.

Thoroughly clean the frame (h) and the window (i) where the window seal (f) will be attached in advance. Remove the velcro film (g) and apply to the non-hinged sides (j) of your window and frame (fig. H). Press the velcro firmly. Make sure that the window closes properly with the velcro on it.

Attach the window kit (f) to the velcro; make sure there are no gaps for air to escape. The zipper opening (k) on the window kit should be on the side where the drain hose can easily reach it. Open the zipper to install the drain hose, then close it tightly to hold the hose in place.

To remove the window kit, simply remove the drain hose and then pull firmly on one end of a sealed section. You can then close your window normally.

The window kit can be used on tilting or normal windows (fig. J).

If the appliance is tilted more than 45°, let it stand for at least 24 hours before using it.

Carefully remove the HYUNDAI 68231 and all accessories from the packaging. Remove the packing material.

Keep packaging materials out of the reach of children.

Check the HYUNDAI 68231 for damage that may have occurred during transport.

Check that all accessories are present.

Place the HYUNDAI 68231 on a solid, level surface with at least 50 cm free space all around for good air circulation.

Do not place the HYUNDAI 68231 near walls, curtains or other objects that may block the air inlet and outlet. Keep the air inlet and outlet clear of obstructions.

Never install the HYUNDAI 68231 where it could be exposed to:

Heat sources such as radiators, heating grates, stoves or other appliances that produce heat.

Direct sunlight.

Mechanical vibrations or shocks.

Excessive dust.

Lack of ventilation.

Slide the cover off the battery compartment.

Insert 2 AAA batteries according to the + and – markings in the battery compartment.

Slide the cover back onto the remote control.

When changing batteries, always replace the complete set. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Remove batteries if the remote control will not be used for an extended period of time.

Avoid short circuits of removed batteries.

Do not store batteries in places where the temperature can exceed 50 °C, e.g., in a car parked in the sun.

Do not incinerate batteries.

Never try to open batteries.

Should battery leakage occur, carefully remove the liquid with a cloth. Avoid skin or eye contact. Do not swallow. Should the battery fluid get on the skin or in the eyes, rinse with running water for at least 10 minutes and seek medical attention immediately.

Press the on/off button (9) to switch on the appliance. The device automatically starts in fan mode.

Press the mode button (10) to select the desired mode.

Press the power button again to turn off the power.

Select the cooling mode by pressing the mode button repeatedly until the cooling indicator lights up.

The technical specifications for the HYUNDAI 68231 are:

1. Bringen Sie die Schlauchkupplung (b) an einem Ende des Ablaufschlauchs an (Abb. E).

Entfernen Sie die Klettfolie (g) und bringen Sie sie an den nicht klappbaren Seiten (j) Ihres Fensters und Rahmens an (Abb. H). Drücken Sie den Klettverschluss fest. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Fenster mit dem Klettverschluss richtig schließt.

5. Befestigen Sie das Fenster-Kit (f) am Klettverschluss; Stellen Sie sicher, dass es keine Lücken gibt, aus denen die Luft entweichen kann. Die Reißverschlussöffnung (k) des Fenster-Kits sollte sich auf der Seite befinden, wo der Ablaufschlauch sie leicht erreichen kann. Öffnen Sie den Reißverschluss, um den Ablaufschlauch zu installieren, und schließen Sie ihn dann fest, um den Schlauch in Position zu halten.
