What should I do before using the HERBORIZER TI for the first time?
Before first use, preheat the injector for 15 to 20 minutes with the controller set to 8 to burn off any machining residue. The conical glass joints and the o-rings (viton) are precisely adjusted to separate the parts; you should pull and twist gently to operate them. Handle glass parts carefully and find a safe place for your device, avoiding placing the power cord in a passageway. Note that the titanium diffuser and some glass parts will become very hot during use and should be handled with care.
How do I connect the components of the HERBORIZER TI?
To connect the device, follow these steps:
1. Connect the power cord to the power supply (AC adapter 110V / 220V).
2. Connect the adapter to the temperature controller, which is graduated from 1 to 10.
3. Connect the temperature controller to the titanium resistor handle.
It is not recommended to connect the injector directly to the power supply, as the temperature would be too high and could burn the plant. The injector operates at low voltage (12VDC) and has a low power consumption (36W on controller setting 10). It can be powered by the included power supply, a cigarette lighter adapter, or a battery.
How do I operate the HERBORIZER TI for use with dry herbs and flowers?
Step 1: Insert the titanium diffuser of the resistor into the glass part of the injector using a gentle twisting motion without forcing. If needed, a small allen wrench is provided with the heater to check and tighten the locking screws.
Step 2: The titanium diffuser should protrude approximately 5 to 6mm from the glass part so that the injector produces a vortex of hot air inside the bowl during inhalation. This is adjusted and checked during assembly.
Step 3: Switch on the controller by turning the knob clockwise. The red LED will light up, indicating the resistor is switched on. Adjust the controller between 4 and 6 (160 degrees Celsius and 220 degrees Celsius), which corresponds to the vaporizing temperatures of dry resinous plants. Preheat for 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 4: Fill the bowl with a small amount of previously ground dry herb, spreading it evenly over the entire surface of the screen. Place the injector on the bowl, ensuring the diffuser does not come into contact with the herbs. For maximum efficiency, wait 1 to 2 minutes before the first inhalation, and inhale slowly and deeply. Between each inhalation, you can lift the injector and stir the herbs with the titanium tool for a complete extraction.
Empty the bowl after each use as it is easier to clean when still hot. The titanium tool can be used to remove the screen from the bowl.
What are the temperature settings for dry herb use with the HERBORIZER TI?
The following table lists the convection temperature chart for dry herb use based on the controller setting:
| Setting | Celsius | Fahrenheit |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 90 degrees C | 194 degrees F |
| 2 | 100 degrees C | 212 degrees F |
| 3 | 130 degrees C | 266 degrees F |
| 4 | 160 degrees C | 320 degrees F |
| 5 | 190 degrees C | 374 degrees F |
| 6 | 220 degrees C | 428 degrees F |
| 7 | 250 degrees C | 482 degrees F |
| 8 | 280 degrees C | 536 degrees F |
| 9 | 290 degrees C | 554 degrees F |
| 10 | 300 degrees C | 572 degrees F |
How do I operate the HERBORIZER TI for use with concentrates and as an e-nail?
Step 1: Insert the titanium diffuser of the resistor into the e-nail glass part using a gentle twisting motion without forcing. The handle can be positioned vertically or horizontally.
Step 2: The titanium diffuser must never make contact with the rounded bottom of the glass part, as the thermal dilation of the titanium could damage the glass.
Step 3: Switch on the controller by turning the knob clockwise. The red LED will light up, indicating the resistor is switched on. Adjust the controller between 3 and 5 (250 degrees Celsius and 330 degrees Celsius), which corresponds to the vaporizing temperature of concentrates. Preheat for 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 4: Take a small amount of concentrate with the titanium tool tip and place the concentrate in the groove of the titanium diffuser while inhaling at the same time. The concentrate will vaporize instantly.
What are the temperature settings for concentrate use with the HERBORIZER TI?
The following table lists the conduction temperature chart for concentrate use based on the controller setting:
| Setting | Celsius | Fahrenheit |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 170 degrees C | 338 degrees F |
| 2 | 190 degrees C | 374 degrees F |
| 3 | 250 degrees C | 482 degrees F |
| 4 | 300 degrees C | 572 degrees F |
| 5 | 330 degrees C | 626 degrees F |
| 6 | 380 degrees C | 716 degrees F |
| 7 | 410 degrees C | 770 degrees F |
| 8 | 440 degrees C | 824 degrees F |
| 9 | 470 degrees C | 878 degrees F |
| 10 | 500 degrees C | 932 degrees F |
How should I clean and maintain my HERBORIZER TI?
For the device to work under optimal conditions, it is advisable to regularly clean the glass parts. It is recommended to use an organic cleaner or a solvent such as alcohol for cleaning. Additionally, do not leave the injector on a full bowl without inhaling for a prolonged length of time, as the heat released by the injector could degrade the herbs.
