What safety precautions should I take when replacing the burner on my HEAT & GLO 6000TRXI?
CAUTION! Risk of Cuts or Abrasions. Wear protective gloves and safety glasses during installation. Sheet metal edges are sharp.
What are the contents of the burner replacement kit for the HEAT & GLO 6000TRXI?
The kit for the HEAT & GLO 6000TRXI contains the following:
• Burner Assembly
• Pilot Bracket
• Additional burner neck (not for all models)
How do I install the new burner on my HEAT & GLO 6000TRXI?
1. Remove existing logs, grate and burner.
2. Replace the existing pilot bracket with the new pilot bracket. The new pilot bracket is 1/4 inch taller.
3. Install the new burner.
4. Determine whether or not your fireplace is equipped with a slide mechanism shutter assembly that is adjustable from outside the firebox.
• If it is not equipped with this assembly, replace the burner neck on the burner assembly with the additional burner neck included with the kit. Remove the air shutter from the old burner neck by removing one screw. Reinstall it on the new burner neck.
• If it is equipped with the assembly, use the burner as supplied with the kit.
5. Install logs according to the log placement instructions.
6. Some models are equipped with refractory. Trim refractory panels to fit if necessary.
