How do I get the device started for the first time?
Open the battery compartment located on the rear side of the device. Place 2 x AA batteries in the compartment, observing the correct polarity.
Upon powering on, the device will automatically begin receiving the DCF radio signal. This reception process takes about 7 minutes. The “radio tower” symbol will flash in the time display area.
Once the radio signal is successfully received, the “radio tower” symbol will be displayed continuously without flashing.
How do I manually set the time, date, and other settings?
If, due to bad reception, automatic time reception is not possible, you can set the time manually. It is important to first quit the radio signal reception by holding the “WAVE” button for 3 seconds if the “radio tower” symbol is flashing.
1. Press and hold the “MODE” key for 3 seconds.
2. Use “+” and “-” to select the 12/24 HR format. Press “MODE” to confirm.
3. The time zone display will flash. Use “+” and “-” to select the time zone (-12 to +12). Press “MODE” to confirm.
4. The hour display will flash. Use “+” and “-” to select the hour. Press “MODE” to confirm.
5. The minute display will flash. Use “+” and “-” to select the minutes. Press “MODE” to confirm.
6. The year display will flash. Use “+” and “-” to select the year. Press “MODE” to confirm.

How do I set the daily alarm?
1. Press and hold the “ALARM” key for 3 seconds; the flashing alarm time will be shown.
2. The hour display of the alarm time will flash. Use “+” and “-” to select the hour, then press “ALARM” to confirm.
3. The minutes will flash. Use “+” and “-” to select the minutes. Press “ALARM” to confirm.

2. While the alarm time is displayed, press the “+” key to set the daily alarm on or off.
3. If the alarm symbol is shown on the display, the alarm function is activated.
Note: The alarm will sound for 2 minutes if no key is pressed to stop it.
How does the snooze function work?
To activate the snooze function, press the “SNOOZE/LIGHT” key while the alarm is sounding. If the snooze function is activated, the symbol “zZ” will be shown in the display.
The alarm will repeat after 5 minutes. The snooze function can be stopped by pressing any key.
How do I change the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F)?
Press the “-” key to switch the temperature display between °C and °F.
What do the weather forecast symbols mean?
The station displays 4 different symbols to forecast the weather: Sunny, Slightly cloudy, Cloudy, and Rainy. As the weather is forecasted using humidity data and not a barometer, the display may have discrepancies with the actual weather.
What do the moon phase symbols mean?
The weather station uses saved data to show the moon phase. The symbols correspond to the following phases:
| Symbol | Phase | Symbol | Phase |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | New moon | B | Increasing crescent |
| C | First half | D | Increasing 3/4 |
| E | Full moon | F | Decreasing 3/4 |
| G | Last half | H | Decreasing crescent |
How does the living space humidity display work?
The weather station uses saved data to determine the humidity in the living space and shows the respective symbols:
dry: humidity below 40% (any temperature)
comfortable: humidity between 40%-70% and a temperature display of 20-28°C
wet: humidity between 70%-90% (any temperature)
How do I use the backlight?
Press the “SNOOZE/LIGHT” key to activate the display illumination for 5 seconds.
How does the radio-controlled signal reception work after a battery change?
The DCF radio signal search starts automatically after a battery exchange. The “radio tower” symbol will flash.
The clock synchronizes with the DCF radio signal automatically and daily from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM to correct potential time deviations. If the synchronization is unsuccessful (the “radio tower” symbol disappears), a further synchronization attempt is made from 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM until successful. This process is repeated up until 5:00 AM. If it is still not successful, the daily reception stops.
What do the radio tower symbols mean?
A flashing “radio tower” symbol indicates that DCF radio signal reception has started.
A continuous “radio tower” symbol indicates that DCF radio signal reception was successful.
What can I do if the clock cannot receive the DCF radio signal?
You can adjust the time manually if the clock cannot receive the DCF radio signal due to interferences (like televisions or computer screens), large distance to the sender, or obstructions (like mountains).
Please observe a minimal distance of 2.5m to sources of interference.
Radio signal reception is weaker in rooms with concrete walls (e.g., in the basement) and in office buildings. For extreme cases, please put the clock near a window.
There are fewer atmospheric disturbances at night, so radio time signal reception is usually better at that time.
As soon as the radio signal can be received, the clock will be adjusted automatically. The radio signal sender coverage is up to 1500km distance to Frankfurt/Main.
How do I replace the batteries?
Please use only the types of battery that are approved for this device (2 x AA, LR6, 1.5V) and ensure that the polarity is correct when inserting a new battery.
