• When you dispose of the appliance remove the battery and dispose of the battery safely in accordance with local regulations.


What is the intended use of the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 and what should I avoid vacuuming?

• This appliance has been designed for domestic dry vacuum cleaning only.

• Do not pick up liquids or use on wet surfaces.

• May damage delicate fabrics or upholstery. Care should be taken on loose-weave carpets and coverings or where there are loose threads. If in doubt please test on an inconspicuous area first.

• The GTECH AIRRAM AR29 has been designed to clean a wide variety of floor surfaces without the need to change settings. However some surfaces such as delicate loose-pile rugs or carpets, tasselled rug edges or damaged carpets with exposed threads are not suitable for cleaning with a rotary brush.

• The GTECH AIRRAM AR29 and Multi have a constantly rotating brush bar. Never leave the cleaning head in one spot for an extended period of time as this may damage the floor surface.

WARNING:

• Do not use water, solvents, or polishes to clean the outside of the appliance; wipe clean with a dry cloth.

• Never immerse the unit in water and do not clean in a dish washer.

• Never use the appliance without the filter fitted.

• Ensure the battery is removed before changing tools.

The GTECH AIRRAM AR29 comes with the following components:

How do I assemble the GTECH AIRRAM AR29?

1. To attach the lower handle to the head assembly, insert the metal pin on the lower handle into the hole located on the pivot yoke. Make sure the green locking clip is pulled out to allow the lower handle to fit.

2. Ensure the lower handle is sitting completely flush against the yoke. Then push the green locking clip into the back of the head.

3. The green locking clip, when correctly fitted, will click and hold the lower handle in place. Should the handle assembly need to be removed the clip can be pulled out to unlock the lower handle. The green locking clip remains permanently attached to the head assembly.

4. Insert the upper handle into the lower handle. You will need to press the button on the upper handle to fit it in. Once it slides down you will hear it click into place.


How do I adjust the handle for use and storage on the GTECH AIRRAM AR29?

To stow or extend the upper handle, simply press the button on the lower handle to unlock it. The upper handle will now slide up or down depending on the required position.

The upper handle can be set in two positions: Lowered for storage and raised for use.

• To lower the handle, release the upper button.

• To raise the handle from the stored position, release the lower button.


How do I operate the GTECH AIRRAM AR29?

1. Without pressing the power button, place your foot on the left side of the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 head and pull the handle back.

2. The power button is located on the left hand side of the AirRam head assembly.

3. Press the power button with your foot to turn the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 on.


When should I use the brush bar hole plug on my GTECH AIRRAM AR29?

To get the best performance on hard floors with deep crevices, remove the brush bar. Insert the supplied brush bar hole plug into the side of the head assembly. This setting should also be used to give the best performance on hard floors with deep crevices. The AirRam can still be used to clean surfaces such as delicate loose-pile rugs or carpets by removing the brush bar and using the supplied plug.


How do I charge the battery for the GTECH AIRRAM AR29?

When the state of charge indicator starts to flash one green LED, you should recharge the battery.

The battery can be charged whilst it’s in the GTECH AIRRAM AR29, or when it’s removed from the product. To remove the battery, squeeze the latch underneath and pull upwards.

1. Plug the charger into the mains and connect it to the battery.

2. Switch on at the mains.

3. Once charging is complete, replace the battery by sliding it down into the head assembly. It will click into place.


How long does it take to charge the battery of the GTECH AIRRAM AR29?

The battery can be charged from flat in 4 hours. The state of charge indicator will show 4 solid green lights when it is charged. It is also OK to charge for 1 hour for a burst of cleaning.


How can I tell how much charge is left on the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 battery?

The battery state of charge indicator shows how much charge the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 has. As you use the product, the green lights will turn off in a downwards direction, indicating the remaining charge:

• 4 lights: 100% – 75%

• 3 lights: 75% – 50%

• 2 lights: 50% – 25%

• 1 light: 25% – 1%


What do the lights mean when the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 is charging?

While the battery is on charge, the LEDs will pulsate and in turn illuminate. When the battery is fully charged all of the LEDs will be solid green.


How do I empty the bin of the GTECH AIRRAM AR29?

1. Holding onto the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 with one hand, pull the bin handle and lift the bin out of the AirRam.

2. Lift and release the latch marked with the green arrow to pull open the lid.

3. Hold the bin over a rubbish bin and push the green lever towards the lid to empty the dirt.

4. Pull the green lever back towards the bottom of the bin. Close the bin lid and reinsert the bin into the AirRam.


How do I clean the filters on my GTECH AIRRAM AR29?

You should clean the filters once a month or more frequently depending on use.

1. Holding onto the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 with one hand, pull the bin handle and lift the bin out of the AirRam.

2. Pull the filter out of the filter housing. Tap the dirt from the filter and tip any dirt from the filter housing.

3. Remove the filter from the inner shroud by twisting and pulling. Tap the inner shroud over a bin to remove any excess dirt.

4. Wash the filter under a tap. Squeeze out any excess water then let it dry completely before reinserting into the AirRam. Recommended water temperature is 40°C. Do not use detergent or soaps.

Important: Never put the bin back without the filter inside, as you could damage the motor.


How do I replace the filters on my GTECH AIRRAM AR29 after cleaning?

1. Once the filter is completely dry, slide it back onto the inner shroud.

2. Slide the filter and inner shroud assembly back into the filter housing.


What should I do if the brush bar on my GTECH AIRRAM AR29 jams?

If the brush bar jams during use, the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 will stop and the LEDs will appear red. Before checking for a blockage, remove the battery. You will need to remove and clean the brush bar.

The GTECH AIRRAM AR29 will not re-start until the red lights go out. This will take ten seconds.


How do I remove and clean the brush bar of the GTECH AIRRAM AR29?

1. Ensure the battery is removed.

2. Rest the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 on its side and locate the brush bar button on the right hand side.

3. Press the button inwards and then pull the brush bar out from the bottom of the AirRam.

4. The brush bar can now be removed, starting at the button end.

5. To remove hair from the brush bar, run an open pair of scissors down the groove to cut the hair, then pull it out.

1. Re-insert the brush bar, starting by the end furthest away from the button.

2. Then line up and push the brush bar into the GTECH AIRRAM AR29 until it clicks into place.
