To turn the GE AEL06 air conditioner on and off, use the Power Pad.

3. Slide the free end of the accordion panel into the side panel rails and slide the panel down, ensuring enough space to slide the top and bottom of the frame into the cabinet rails. Note that there is a right and left accordion panel.

4. Slide the left and right accordion panels into the top and bottom mounting rails.

To prepare the window for the GE AEL06 air conditioner installation:

Cut the window sash seal to the proper length. Peel off the backing and attach the seal to the underside of the window sash.

To install the GE AEL06 air conditioner into the window:

1. Place the air conditioner on the sill with the bottom mounting rail against its back edge. Center it and securely close the window behind the top mounting rail. Ensure it is level or slightly tilted to the outside (about a 1/3 bubble using a level).

2. Extend the left and right accordion panels to the vertical window sashes and attach them through the panel holes using 5 Type B screws.
