2. Secure the PSU to the back of the chassis using the four included power supply screws with a PH2 screwdriver.
How do I install the I/O shield and prepare the motherboard for the FRACTAL EPOCH?
First, install the I/O shield that came with your motherboard into the rectangular opening at the rear of the FRACTAL EPOCH case. Before installing the motherboard itself, it is recommended to prepare it by installing the CPU, CPU cooler, and RAM modules.
How do I install the motherboard assembly into the FRACTAL EPOCH case?
1. Ensure the standoffs in the FRACTAL EPOCH case are aligned with the mounting holes on your motherboard. The case is pre-configured for ATX motherboards. For Micro ATX (mATX) motherboards, you may need to move standoffs.
2. Carefully lower the motherboard assembly into the case, aligning it with the standoffs and the I/O shield.
3. Secure the motherboard to the standoffs using the eight provided M3 mounting screws and a PH2 screwdriver.
IMPORTANT: Match the motherboard mounting holes to the stand-offs.
How do I connect the front I/O cables for the FRACTAL EPOCH?
Connect the cables from the front panel of the FRACTAL EPOCH to the appropriate headers on your motherboard. The cables include:
• USB Type-C (20 Gbps)
• USB Type-A (5 Gbps)
• HD Audio
• Power SW and Power LED
How do I install a graphics card in the FRACTAL EPOCH case?
1. Align your graphics card with the top PCIe slot on your motherboard.
2. Insert the graphics card firmly into the slot until it clicks into place.
3. Secure the graphics card’s mounting bracket to the chassis using two PH2 screws.
How do I manage the drive trays in the FRACTAL EPOCH?
To remove a drive tray: Loosen the thumbscrew holding the tray in place and slide it out of its bay.
To install a 2.5″ drive on a dedicated tray: Place the 2.5″ drive on the tray and secure it with four to eight screws using a PH2 screwdriver.
To install a 3.5″ or 2.5″ drive on a multi-purpose tray:
• For a 3.5″ drive, place the drive in the tray, use the rubber dampers, and secure it from the bottom with four screws.
• For a 2.5″ drive, place the drive on top of the tray and secure it from the bottom with four screws.
How do I connect the fans in the FRACTAL EPOCH case?
For Non-RGB Fans:
1. The fans can be connected in a series (daisy-chained).
2. Connect the cable from one fan to the next.
3. Plug the final 4-pin PWM connector into an available fan header on your motherboard.
For RGB Fans:
1. Daisy-chain the fan power cables and the RGB cables separately.
2. Plug the final 4-pin PWM connector into a motherboard fan header.
3. Plug the final 3-pin ARGB connector (labeled +5V D GND) into a compatible 5V addressable RGB header on your motherboard.
How do I remove the optional panels on the FRACTAL EPOCH case?
