How do I prepare the timer for its first use?
1. Charge the battery
Plug the timer into a regular 125V wall outlet for 10-minutes to charge the back-up battery.
2. Reset the Timer
Press the RESET button after charging to clear any data in memory.
How do I set the date and time?
Press SET button for 2-seconds until “MO” for Monday begins to flash. Press UP or DOWN button to select the day of the week.
Press SET button to advance to the “Hour” and “Minute” setting.
Press UP or DOWN button to select.
Press SET button one more time to complete setup.
To reset the current time, repeat the steps above.
How do I switch between 12/24 hour mode?
NOTE: The time on the system is by default 24-hour mode.
Press CD and SET button simultaneously to change to 12-hour mode. “AM” will be in display.
How do I set Daylight Savings Time?
Press MANUAL and SET button simultaneously to add 1-hour for Daylight Savings and “S” will appear in the display. To set it back, press the two buttons simultaneously and “S” will disappear in the display.
How do I program the timer settings?
While in clock display, press UP button once to display the first ON setting 1ON —.
Press SET button once, the “MO” will begin to flash, press UP or DOWN button to select the day of the week or combination of days for this program.
Press SET button again to advance to the “Hour” setting. Press UP or DOWN button to select. Repeat this step for the “Minute” setting.
Press the SET button to complete the program setting.
Press UP button again to advance to the first OFF setting 1OFF-:–.
Repeat the procedure 2-5 to create the OFF setting.
Repeat steps 1-7 for additional ON/OFF program settings.
Press UP or DOWN button simultaneously to exit program setting mode.
How do I reset a current program?
To reset any current program, press the MANUAL button in the program setting mode. The display will replace current time with “–:–“. If you only want to use a few of the ON/OFF programs, please make sure the rest of the program setting displays “–:–“.
What happens if program settings overlap?
Check your programs to ensure that the settings do not overlap. If they overlap, the timer will execute according to the programmed time and not by program number. Program “OFF” has priority over program “ON”.
How do I connect devices to the timer?
Plug the timer into wall outlet.
Plug home appliances into the timer and then turn on home appliance.
How do I activate the timer?
Press MANUAL button as necessary to display:
“ON” – the plugged in device remains ON
“OFF” – the plugged in device remains OFF
“AUTO” – the plugged in device follows the programmed timer settings
Note: When mode is switched from MANUAL “ON” to “AUTO”, the timer will keep the setting of MANUAL “ON” until the next timer program is executed.
If you want to activate programs, please make sure the timer is in “AUTO” mode, and the “RANDOM” and “CD” functions are disabled.
How do I use the Random Function?
Press RND button to activate random function. LCD displays “R”.
When RANDOM function is activated, the timer will be in “ON” position randomly for 10-31 minutes during the time gap – from 6:00pm to 6:00am.
Press RND button to cancel this function. RANDOM function can’t be set during PROGRAM and CD mode.
The RANDOM function can only be executed in AUTO mode between 6:00pm and 6:00am.
How do I use the Countdown Function?
Please make sure the current operation mode is in “AUTO” mode. The “Random” function is disabled.
While the timer is showing clock display, press DOWN button to set countdown program. The “CD” sign will be in display.
Press SET button once, either “ON” or “OFF” will begin to flash, press UP or DOWN button to select countdown ON or OFF mode. If “ON” is selected the timer will be on during the countdown period. Then it will turn off after the countdown expires, and vice versa.
Press SET button again to advance to the “Hour” setting. Press UP or DOWN button to select. Repeat this step for the “Minute” and “Seconds” setting.
Press SET button one more time to complete this countdown setting.
Press CD button once, this countdown program is activated. To stop the countdown, press CD button once again and it will show the time you have set.
The “CD” will flash on the screen when press CD button in clock mode. This means the CD function is executed.
What are the safety warnings for this timer?
Do not plug more than two timers at once.
Do not plug in an appliance where the load exceeds 15Amp.
Always ensure the plug of any appliance is fully inserted into the timer outlet.
If cleaning of the timer is required, remove the timer from main power source and wipe it with a dry cloth. Do not immerse timer in water or any other liquid.
Heaters and similar appliances should never be left unattended during operation. The manufacturer recommends such appliances not to be connected with outlet timers.

These instructions are barely comprehensible. I want to program the timer to turn a single light on and off at the same times for each day of the week. How do I do it?
On the 1st page of the above manual section 3:
PROGRAM TIMER
