What is the primary safety concern when handling integrated panels?

Cut Hazard: Take care as panel edges are sharp. Failure to use caution could result in injury or cuts.

What important points should be considered before starting panel installation?

Read these instructions completely and carefully.

Ensure the product is not plugged in.

Installation of DishDrawer® panels requires basic mechanical and electrical skills.

Installation must comply with your local building and electricity regulations.

Failure to install the DishDrawer panels correctly could invalidate any warranty or liability claims.

How do I calculate the required width for the integrated panels on a Double DishDrawer model?

1. Measure A (the width between adjacent door/drawer fronts).

2. Subtract the door clearance twice (minimum 1/8″ or 2.5 mm each side) from measurement A.

Formula: Panel Width = A – 2 x (min. 1/8″ (2.5 mm))

Example: If A = 24 1/4″ (616 mm), then Panel Width = 24 1/4″ – 2 x 1/8″ = 24 1/16″ (611 mm).

The minimum resulting panel width is 23 7/16″ (595 mm).

How do I calculate the required height for the upper integrated panel on a Double DishDrawer model?

1. Determine the standard height, which is typically 15 5/8″ (398 mm).

2. Add the ‘door extension’ B. This allows the top of the upper panel to be above the DishDrawer® where required. A 0 mm extension is recommended for standard alignment with adjacent cabinetry top.

Formula: Upper Panel Height = Standard Height (15 5/8″ (398 mm)) + Door Extension B (0 mm recommended)

Example: Upper Panel Height = 15 5/8″ + 0″ = 15 5/8″ (398 mm).

How do I calculate the required height for the lower integrated panel on a Double DishDrawer model?

1. Measure C (the total door/drawer height of the adjacent cabinetry, or equivalent).

2. Subtract the calculated height of the upper panel.

3. Subtract the required Air gap of 5/16″ (8 mm).

Formula: Lower Panel Height = C – Upper Panel Height – Air Gap (5/16″ (8 mm))

Ensure C considers the minimum installation height relative to the DishDrawer® chassis (min. 28 1/4″ (717.5 mm) + Door Extension B).

Example: If C = 30″ (762 mm) and Upper Panel Height = 15 5/8″ (398 mm), then Lower Panel Height = 30″ – 15 5/8″ – 5/16″ = 14 1/16″ (356 mm).

The minimum resulting lower panel height is 12 1/4″ (311.5 mm).

How do I calculate the height of the custom toe kick panel for a Double DishDrawer model?

1. Measure D (height from the top of adjacent cabinet door fronts to the floor).

2. Subtract the Door Extension B (if any).

3. Subtract the DishDrawer® dimension of 28 15/16″ (735 mm).

4. Subtract the minimum clearance of 1/2″ (12 mm) below the lower panel.

Formula: Toe Kick Height = D – B – 28 15/16″ (735 mm) – 1/2″ (12 mm)

Example: If D = 34 1/4″ (870 mm) and B = 0″, then Toe Kick Height = 34 1/4″ – 0″ – 28 15/16″ – 1/2″ = 4 13/16″ (123 mm).

The minimum resulting toe kick height is 2 5/8″ (70.5 mm).

What are the options for the toe kick on a Double DishDrawer model?

The black prefinished toe kick panel is supplied.

This panel can also have a front panel of your choice attached to it using screws or an adhesive.

A toe kick panel of any material with thickness 3/8″ – 3/4″ (9 – 19 mm) can be screwed to the plastic toe kick panel bracket (supplied).

The toe kick area height can range from 2 5/8″ – 5″ (67-127 mm).

What are the material requirements for the integrated panels?

Panel thickness must be 5/8″ – 13/16″ (16 – 20 mm).

Panels must be adequately sealed to withstand moisture (122°F/50°C @ 80% RH).

What parts are supplied for panel preparation on a Double DishDrawer model?

Toe kick panel screws (5)

Panel panel screws (12)

Integrated rectangular badge (2) (Satin chrome supplied)

Integrated door seal (2)

Toe kick panel bracket (1)

Prefinished Toe kick panel (1)

Panel bracket (2)

How do I calculate the required width for the integrated panel on a Single DishDrawer model?

How do I calculate the required height for the integrated panel on a Single DishDrawer model?

1. Measure B (the door/drawer height of the adjacent cabinetry, or equivalent).

2. Subtract the required Air gap of 3/8″ (9 mm).

Formula: Panel Height = B – Air Gap (3/8″ (9 mm))

Example: If B = 16″ (407 mm), then Panel Height = 16″ – 3/8″ = 15 5/8″ (398 mm).

The minimum resulting panel height is 15 5/8″ (398 mm).

Note: If the top of the DishDrawer® needs to be lower than adjacent cabinetry, the panel height can be increased accordingly.

What parts are supplied for panel preparation on a Single DishDrawer model?

Panel panel screws (6)

Integrated rectangular badge (1) (Satin chrome supplied)

Integrated door seal (1)

Panel bracket (1)

How do I prepare the panel for the badge and handle?

Important: Ensure the product is not plugged in before starting.

Mark the ‘Badge zone’ on the panel. The zone is centered horizontally, 9″ (228.5 mm) wide.

For the upper panel (or single model), the top edge of the zone is 5″ (127 mm) from the panel top, and the bottom edge is 8 5/16″ (211 mm) from the panel top.

For the lower panel (double model only), the top edge of the zone is 2 1/8″ (54 mm) from the panel top, and the bottom edge is 5″ (127 mm) from the panel top.

Drill two Ø 1″ (25 mm) holes for the badge, spaced 1 3/16″ (30 mm) apart center-to-center within the marked zone.

If mounting a handle, drill appropriate holes. Important: Ensure handle fastenings do not protrude beyond the back surface of the panel to avoid damage.

How do I attach and secure the panel brackets?

1. Place the panel bracket onto the back of the prepared integrated panel.

2. Attach the integrated rectangular badge through the holes drilled in the panel and secure it to the bracket from the back.

3. Secure the panel bracket to the panel using the provided 5/8″ (16 mm) screws (x6 per panel).

4. Double models only: Important! Break off the tab located at the top edge of the Lower Panel Bracket before securing it.

How do I reconnect wires and fit the panels (Double models)?

1. Reconnect the wiring harness plugs that were disconnected for bracket attachment.

2. Align the panel assembly with the drawer front.

3. Important! Ensure the rubber door seal between the drawer and the panel is kept in place during fitting.

4. Secure the panel assembly to the drawer using the provided 1 5/8″ (16 mm) screws (x5 per panel).

5. Fit the integrated door seal onto the side edges of the panel.

6. If applicable, attach the custom toe kick to the toe kick bracket and install it.

How do I fit the panel (Single models)?

1. Reconnect any wiring harness plugs that were disconnected for bracket attachment.

2. Align the panel assembly with the drawer front.

3. Important! Ensure the rubber door seal between the drawer and the panel is kept in place during fitting.

4. Secure the panel assembly to the drawer using the provided screws (refer to parts list for size and quantity).

5. Fit the integrated door seal onto the side edges of the panel.
