When uncrating the FAGOR QR-2, follow these steps:

1. Remove all outer packaging.

2. Cut the four clamps that secure the refrigerator to the skid.

3. Lift the unit off the skid.

4. If the machine was laid down during uncrating or transportation, the cabinet must be left in an upright position for 24 hours before connecting it to a power source.

To ensure efficient operation of the FAGOR QR-2, the chosen location must meet these criteria:

Indoor Use: The unit is intended for indoor use only.

Floor Strength: The floor must be strong enough to support the total weight of the unit and its contents.

Clearance: Provide at least three inches of space between the sides, back, and top of the unit.

Ambient Temperature: The unit should not be installed in environments where temperatures exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If relative humidity is higher than 60 percent, the door frames may sweat, which is normal.

Airflow: Ensure the unit has access to ample air. Avoid hot corners and locations near stoves or ovens. The area must be open and clean to reduce debris accumulation on the condenser fan and coil.

Before turning the FAGOR QR-2 on for the first time, the inside of the cabinet must be cleaned. Use warm water and a mild detergent. Once the unit is cleaned and completely dry, install the accessories and plug the unit into a dedicated outlet. You must wait 24 hours after plugging the unit in before placing any product inside to ensure it is working properly.

To install castors on the FAGOR QR-2, follow these instructions:

2. Slide the unit out until the castor holes are exposed.

3. Install castors with brakes in the front of the unit.

4. Carefully lift the unit high enough to install the casters and repeat for the remaining wheels.

5. To level the unit, insert the provided shims between the castor and the frame rail. If using more than one shim, turn the slot of the shim at a 90-degree angle to prevent them from slipping out.

6. Turn the bearing race clockwise to tighten and use the provided tool to secure all castors.

7. If using optional legs, thread them by hand into the cabinet bottom frame rail. The ends of the legs are adjustable for leveling.

Note: Never lay the FAGOR QR-2 on its back. If this occurs, leave the cabinet upright for 24 hours before connecting to power.

To install the shelves in the FAGOR QR-2:

1. Hook the shelf rails onto the shelf pilasters.

2. Position all shelf rails at an equal distance from the floor so the shelves are level.

3. Orient the wire shelves so that the cross support bars are facing down.

4. Place the shelves on the shelf clips, ensuring all corners are seated properly.

To start the FAGOR QR-2, turn on the rocker switch located next to the controller. The display will light up and show the internal temperature. The compressor and fan icons will flash for three minutes before the unit begins cooling.

The controller buttons serve the following functions:

UP Arrow: Increases the temperature set point or turns the unit ON/OFF (when held for 3 seconds).

SET Button: Used to change the set point or access programming mode.

To change the reading of the temperature on your FAGOR QR-2:

1. Press and hold the SET button for five seconds until “PS” appears on the display.

2. Press the SET button once to see the number zero (0).

3. Use the UP arrow to set the value to “22”, then press the SET button. “PS” will appear again.

4. Use the DOWN arrow to find the parameter “EZY” and press SET once.

5. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to set the value based on your needs: Set to “3” for Fahrenheit or “4” for Celsius.

6. Press and hold the SET button for five seconds to confirm. The display will show the temperature in your selected scale.

To select a manual defrost on the FAGOR QR-2, hold the DOWN arrow button for 5 seconds. A snowflake icon will appear on the display; when this icon is solid, the equipment is in defrost mode. To exit manual defrost early, hold the DOWN arrow button again for 5 seconds. The icon will turn off, and you should wait 2 minutes for the compressor to restart.

Proper care of the FAGOR QR-2 stainless steel includes:

Cleaning Tools: Use only soft cloths or plastic scouring pads. Never use steel pads, wire brushes, or scrapers.

Cleaning Solutions: Use alkaline or non-chloride cleaners. Avoid any cleaners containing chlorides as they damage the protective film of the steel. Never use acid-based solutions.

Daily Routine: Clean the unit every day with soap and water. For extreme stains or grease, use a non-abrasive cleaner and a plastic scrub pad.

Rinsing: If a chloride cleaner is used, rinse the surface repeatedly and dry it thoroughly immediately after.

The condenser coil of the FAGOR QR-2 requires regular cleaning every 30 to 60 days. Follow these steps:

1. Disconnect the machine from the power source.

2. Remove the front bottom panel and carefully slide out the condensing unit.

3. For light dust, use a simple brush. For heavier build-up, use a vacuum or compressed air.

If the FAGOR QR-2 fails to operate, check the following:

1. Ensure the machine is properly connected to the power source.

2. Verify that the ON/OFF button on the controller is in the ON position.

3. Check that the thermostat is not set to the OFF position.
