How do I perform the hardware installation for the EXSYS EX-12270HMS?
Because there are large differences between PCs, this is a general installation guide. Please refer to your computer’s reference manual whenever in doubt.
1. Install the EX-12270HMS on a mounting rail by using the DIN-Rail Kit or on the wall using the Wall Mounting Brackets. The DIN-Rail Kit mounts with three screws on the rear side, and the Wall Mounting Brackets mount with four screws on each side.
2. Connect the USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 cable with the USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 Upstream C-Port at the EX-12270HMS.
3. Now connect the power connector of the supplied power supply to the DC socket of the hub or connect a compatible DIN-Rail power supply to the terminal block. Then plug the mains plug of the power supply unit into a wall socket.
4. Now connect the other end from the USB 3.2 Gen 2 cable (C-Plug) to the USB C-Port at your PC.
What are the power supply options and precautions for the EXSYS EX-12270HMS?
The EXSYS EX-12270HMS has two power input options: a +9V to +24V DC-Connector and a +9V to +24V T-Block.
Please observe the following precautions:
ATTENTION!
– Only for use with the power supply included in the scope of delivery or another compliant power supply!
– Please pay attention to the correct polarity! Never connect power to GND as it will destroy your Hardware!
– Never connect the power supply to the terminal block while it is switched on!
Redundant power supply is possible by the simultaneous use of the DC-Connector and the Terminal Block.
