Please follow these precautions for the EVERFOCUS EDH5201B camera:

1. Electric or Magnetic Fields: Do not install the camera near electric or magnetic fields. Install it away from TV/radio transmitters, magnets, electric motors, transformers, and audio speakers, as the electromagnetic fields from these devices may distort the video image or interfere with camera operation.

2. Disassembly: Never disassemble the camera beyond the recommendations in this manual or introduce materials other than those recommended. Improper disassembly or corrosive materials may result in equipment failure or damage.

3. Sun Exposure: Try to avoid facing the camera toward the sun. Direct sunlight may cause permanent damage to the sensor and/or internal circuits and create unbalanced illumination beyond the camera’s capability to compensate.

4. Power Cord Safety: Keep the power cord away from water and other liquids. Never touch the power cord with wet hands, as this may result in electric shock.

5. Environment: Never install the camera in areas exposed to oil, gas, or solvents, which may result in equipment failure, electric shock, or fire.

6. Cleaning: For cameras with interchangeable lenses, do not touch the sensor surface directly. Use lens tissue or a cotton-tipped applicator and ethanol to clean the sensor and camera lens. Use a damp soft cloth to remove dirt from the camera body. Do not use complex solvents, corrosive, or abrasive agents.

7. Operating Conditions: Do not operate the camera beyond the specified temperature, humidity, or power source ratings. This camera is for indoor operation at temperatures within -10°C~50°C (14°F~122°F). The input power source is 12VDC. Use of properly fused or Class 2 power limited type supplies is highly recommended.

8. Mounting: Select a solid mounting surface that will support the camera’s weight plus any other loading (wind, snow, etc.). Securely attach the camera using appropriate screws and anchors. If necessary, such as when mounting to drop ceilings, use a safety wire for additional support.

If the EVERFOCUS EDH5201B camera causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, you are encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures:

• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

To connect the EVERFOCUS EDH5201B camera:

For Main Video and Power:

1. Connect the pigtail power cable (black) to the DC12V In port on the camera’s cable.

2. Connect the other end of the pigtail to a DC12V Adapter.

3. Connect the BNC Female (HDcctv Jack) on the camera’s cable to a coaxial cable running to an HDcctv DVR or other HDcctv signal equipment.

For Setup and Aiming:

1. Connect the included Test Cable to the *Service Video Connector on the camera’s internal board.

2. Connect the other end of the Test Cable to the NTSC Video In port on a handheld monitor.

NOTE: When installing the camera, make sure that all cable ends and connectors are protected from humidity and other outdoor environments.
