How do I perform Step 1, securing the TV Brackets to the TV, for the ERGOAV ERMSL1-01B?
Step 1: Secure the TV Brackets to the TV
1. Select TV Bolts: Only one size bolt will fit your TV (M4, M6, or M8). Test the bolts to find the correct size.
2. Verify Bolt Length: Ensure adequate thread engagement with bolts or a bolt/spacer combination. We recommend thread engagement by at least 5 turns.
• Too short will not hold the TV.
• Too long will damage the TV.
3. Position Brackets: When attaching the TV brackets [01] to the back of the TV, ensure the ends with the rounded holes are pointing towards the top of the TV and are equally centered on the back of the TV. The bolt hole locations on your TV may vary.
4. Consider TV Back Shape:
• Option A (For Flat Back TV): Attach the brackets [01] using the correct bolts (C1/D1/E1) and washers (B1/B2). Use spacers (F1/F2) if needed.
• Option B (For Curved Back TV): Spacers must be tall enough so the curve on the back of the TV does not interfere with the mounting plate. Use appropriate longer bolts (C2/D2/E2/E3), washers (B1/B2), and spacers (F1/F2/F3).
• Option C (For TV with a “Bump”): Spacers must be tall enough so TV brackets are flush (NO GAP) on the bump. Use appropriate longer bolts, washers, and spacers.
• Option D (For TV with Cable Interference): Use spacers to create extra space between the TV and TV brackets for cables.
• Option E (For Recessed Holes): Spacers need to fill in the recessed holes on the back of the TV so that the TV brackets are as close to the TV as possible.
NOTE: Please do not over-tighten the TV bolts to avoid damaging your TV.
How do I install the ERGOAV ERMSL1-01B into wood studs (Step 2A)?
WARNING: To avoid potential personal injury or property damage, Do Not over-tighten the Lag Screws [A1]! Tighten them only until they are pulled firmly against the Wall Plate. Do Not use a drill when tightening the Lag Screws [A1]; only use a socket wrench. DO NOT USE THE ANCHOR [A2] FOR THIS STEP. Ensure the Arm Assembly is securely fastened before proceeding. Nominal wood stud size is 2” x 4” (51mm x 102mm).
Step 2A-1: Locate Studs
Use a stud finder to locate wood studs or an awl to verify the edges. Mark the edge and center locations. For corner mounts, find your stud locations, mark them, and then lay the mount out on the floor to configure it to your stud locations before installing. The installable range is a minimum of 12″ and a maximum of 27″ between studs.

The thickness of the concrete wall must exceed 5 1/2″ (140mm).
Step 2B-1: Mark Pilot Holes
Position the Wall Plate Template [03] at your desired height. Level the template and mark the locations for the pilot holes. For corner mounts, the distance between the center location and the corner of the wall should be approximately 27″ (700mm).
Step 2B-2: Drill Pilot Holes
Drill the 6 pilot holes using a 3/8″ (10mm) diameter concrete drill bit. Make sure the depth is at least 3″ (75mm) deep.
Step 2B-3: Insert Anchors
Use a hammer to knock the Wall Anchors [A2] into the wall. Be sure the anchors are seated flush with the concrete surface.
